I'm interested, but it'll take a while to think of a character sheet. I wouldn't wanna rush out a lackluster sheet... again.
Actually, I do have a question. Is there any sort of standard for alien names? It would seem a bit odd to see a lifeform made of pure energy named Howard or something.

Standards are to try and relate it to the species or aspects of the character.
Though legal name changes are fine. A few Gehb have found they rather like a few warriors of legend of Earth so they've taken to that.
Oh, this looks nice. I'm interested
From the opening post I'm thinking of either playing an amazonian Gheb lady, or a sort of Xon detective/manhunter... A question though, do the Xon use any clothes?
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.I'm interested, though a question about the age, how long can we expect each reace to get? Particulary interested in the Le'Ka.
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Not typically but they can
Viron, Xon, and Le'Ka hold the age of upwards of 200 for how long they can live.
Kay, so when I'm going with a 100 something Le'Ka that'll be the equivalent of a middle agend man here then. For that matter, do Le'Ka even have a gender as robotic race?
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Actually the Le'Ka maximum age is 300, 100 would be closer to a teenager, 150s to 200 are prime of life, 300 is where the last years are. And yes they have sex, they are closer to lifeform than mechanical so they have sexes.
Kay, noted, thanks. Guess I'll have my CS up shortly.
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"- Name: Sha'Koro (with a pretty sharp/insectoid sound to it) since few can actually pronounce that correct he mostly goes by the name Kopaka (still a pretty sharp pronounciation but since there are no 's' in it its at least better to pronounce for members of other species)
- Age/Race/Gender: 147/Le'Ka/M
- Appearance/Distinguishing Looks: He decided to replace the normally grey Lense of his left eye for a gold one, this serves no real reason and is only aesthetic. Other than that his anntenae are a bit longer than the ones normally found on the heads of other Le'Ka.
- Personality: Diligent at work, else easy-go-lucky if a bit shy.
- Powers/Abilities:
- Augment: Snap arm: Sha'Koro's arms can transform into the something akin to the Raptorial leg of a Mantis (Order: Mantodea) to enhace its Close Combat Capabilities.
- Augment: Maximal Booster: There are small rocket thrusters in Sha'Koro's elbows, back and ankles, he can use those to greatly augment his capability to kick or punch, also he can hover a bit over the ground with it.
- Starting Gear:
- Old compass: Sha'Koro once met a member of the newest addition to the GTC called humans, their brief time together ended tragic, the dying human gave Sha'Koro this piece of metal, calling it Compass, he explained to Sha'Koro that this was once used to find the way back home by humans. Sha'Koro has kept it ever since.
- Claw Shields: Two shields with extendable claws in them, when not in use they're usually shouler mounted (since Sha'Koro mostly uses his Snap Arm Augment to fight this happens so often that that can be seen as their main use). These claws can be shot, they are connected to the shields with chains, Sha'Koro can shoot them either while the shields are on his forearms or shoulders.
- An extendable sword: He got it long ago, while he knows how to use it he mostly uses his Snap Arm to fight.
- Backstory: Sha'Koro was an archeologist, in the past he teamed up with one of the Terrans new to the GTC. Sha'Koro build a bit of an relationsship with the Terran, he admired the human for his adaptability considering that he was bound by flesh. Both searched ruins for a year, aways searching for artifacts they could send to a museum. Though after about a year in a particulary huge ruin that they searched for a couple of weeks at that time that ended. While exploring a big hall a pillar started to collapse, Sha'Koro tried to push the Terran away in time but failed to do so. The debris from the pillar crushed the lower body of the Terran. Before dying the man gave Sha'Koro his compass, and made him promise to not let this stop him from searching ruins. Sha'Koro still honors that promise and keeps searching. They once set up a small store in the ship he an the Terran once bought, the Ultimo where they sold artifacts that were of no scientific value, though he recently lost it during atmospheric reentry, in which he got badly injured himself. Now he tries to gather money to repair it (its probably cheaper to just buy a new one but Sha'Koro insists that he will continue to use the ship he and the Terran bought).
- Trivia:
- The Ultimo was a Northwind-class deep space freighter. Its armament consists of some point-defense weapons against missles. The Ultimo had hangar capacities for a single shuttle and one Shogun-class fighter (while being enough to scare off the occasional scavenger its by no means much considering offensive capabilities. Doubly so since the fateful day the Terran died leaving Sha'Koro with no pilot for the old fighter anymore). Currently what's left of it is docked at the Asimov-docks on Terra. Since its quite an antique spareparts will likely needed to be manufactued, so repairs will cost alot, like a lot.

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"This seems interesting. Might join
Going Fast Since 1991Always glad to see interest.
Another quick question. How tall is the average Kvar?
edited 3rd Feb '16 11:09:24 AM by gregnes2000
7 feet tall at a maximum, 5 feet at a minimum.
I'm interested, my character sheet will be coming sometime in the week. I'm particularly interested in playing as a Viron.
“Seek freedom and become captive of your desires. Seek discipline and find your liberty.” ― Frank Herbert, Chapterhouse: DuneLooks pretty neat. Probably gonna roll up a human.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertGood to hear you are interested.
And a human player would be good to have.
Alright, one more question. What's the average lifespan of a Kvar?
100 years, some live to 120. Does this cover all the questions?
Yeah, yeah. I should have my sheet up in a bit.
Alrighty, here we are. I may have messed up a few things with my portrayal of the Kvar, just so you know.
- Name: Qinsl
- Age/Race/Gender: 51/Kvar/Male
- Appearance/Distinguishing Looks: For Kvar standards, Qinsl is pretty gosh darn short, only standing at 5’3’’. Also, his head is a bit, for lack of a better word, triangular.
- Personality: He is a hardcore pessimist and his middle-age crisis doesn't really help matters. He can also be a bit lazy at times. Not too lazy, mind you, just to the point that he'd rather let the issue at hand solve itself when it seems like it will. If it doesn't look like it'll solve itself, he will get involved. Finally, he’s pretty paranoid.
- Powers/Abilities: Like other Kvar, Qinsl has telepathy. On top of this, he specializes in Kvar ships more than other Kvar technology, making him great at handling such ships. Unfortunately, as a trade-off, he isn't the best with weaponry. He can still use them, but not as well as most would hope.
- Starting Gear: Qinsl only has a Kvar pistol. To accommodate for his poor shooting skills, the gun is very simple, as such, it is primarily a self-defense weapon.
- Backstory: Growing up, he showed interest in transportation and studied it as much as he could, eventually becoming an ace in the subject. When he got a job, it was in space travel. He became the engineer of a small ship with a crew of 5. The crew went on many adventures. Stopping pirates, fighting giant man-eating spiders, and befriending alien ships. After two or so years, the crew returned home with plenty of information. Which brings us to present day.
- Trivia: Nothing I can think of.

Nothing seems wrong, it all seems in line within everything and I am assuming Triangular means his face is more angular than literally being Triangle shape.
Qinsl is accepted.
I've been busy this entire week. Chances are I'll have my character sheet ready by the weekend.
On the other hand, I had a question: Virons, being robotic lifeforms, lack biological sex. So, does the concept of sex or gender exists for them? And if so, can individual Virons identify either as "male" or "female"?
edited 4th Feb '16 2:17:01 PM by georgiano
“Seek freedom and become captive of your desires. Seek discipline and find your liberty.” ― Frank Herbert, Chapterhouse: DuneVirons can in fact identify as either male or female. It's a similar situation with the Xon really, technically without Sex or Gender but more than capable of identifying that way. Both in body design and mentally.
No one really understands why those concepts exist with the Viron.
You know it all begins so simply, you wake up in the morning, get breakfast and get dressed, and then it goes to hell in a handbasket when the next thing you know, you're waking up in a Hospital Bed almost two years later.
Suffice to say, you're day hasn't gone so well. Especially with the last thing being reports of large Spacecraft appearing right above Earth's atmosphere and you're getting a intense headache.
Now you find yourself with other people, and maybe your eyes are playing tricks on you but some don't even seem human! And a floating Orb with a singular eye calling itself your guide to civilization!
Well, what are you going do now?
Flavor text aside, welcome to the game. The aim of this game is a Freeform RP based around exploring a world after a Major First Contact incident. You can play as a human or one of the various aliens part of the Galactic Trade Council.
The main aim is character interaction and fun.
Humans are not included in the list because they are a recent to the GTC and are so far largely unassuming. You can still play as them.
Hope we got enough variation, various NPCs and such will be said various Species of the GTC, and may provide insight into the backstory if need be, what's happened, and even the GTC itself.
Character Signups
After that we should be all good to go.
