Eden RP Discussion Thread!

Hello everyone and welcome to the Eden RP discussion thread! If you want to get context of the world, want to look at character sheets or want to sign up for the RP to join in while it is in progress, please refer to this post over here. Be sure to open up in a new tab, too, don't wanna lose your place here as well!

But yeah. This is where all of the OOC chatter goes and whatnot. Any questions, comments, concerns regarding the RP, and the characters/players in it go here. Please, I would like to avoid any drama and I would do my damnest as a GM to make sure the game is fun and enjoyable for all parties.

But in the meantime, feel free to talk! As of this writing, I'll have an opening RP post tomorrow or the next day. I need some time to think it over, as I am pretty damn tired right now lol. Also, as a sidenote, my opening post would be really big, so please do not be intimidated by it. Just post what's necessary, and you'll be good!

If you guys want to have a good idea of what Eden is, I have my shitty webcomic right here. I also have some concept art of the Unitians,◊ the Retrievers, and some other stuff as well.

As of this post, I am looking for good cartography software so I can make a detailed map for you guys (as well as for my comic to establish location continuity.) Once the map is complete (or if), I'll have it posted in the first parent post. I also added a link to my shitty comics and their concept art so you guys get a little bit of an idea of what Eden is and who the Unitians are.

EDIT: Here's a map of what the post is describing.◊ The final map of Eden won't look like this at all, though, but this was my first attempt at cartography so I figured I may as well make it useful.

Question: What is Unita's viewpoint of Edenites?

Well, I'm guessing they aren't fond of them, yet don't hate them. I also have a sneaking suspicion that one or two of them are a bunch of snobbish asshats.

Well viewpoints mainly differ among Unitians, while some Unitians are assholes that are racist against Edenites (and other Unitians), most Unitians tolerate Edenites, as long as they conform to the laws and standards of Unitian society, and not be a total asshat. XD

In a way, Unitians much prefer a kind Edenite over a hateful Unitian.

And as explained earlier, Unitians come from a variety of backgrounds. Some come from the UK, some come from the US, some come from Turkey, France, Kurdistan, Japan and so on and so forth. So again, opinions differ but generally it's what I listed above. :) Thanks for asking though

Huh. I was right, in a way. Nice. Do Unitians (Sorry if it's spelled incorrectly) have any opinion on 'Outsiders' I.E. the current group (Minus Terrence)?

Unitians don't exactly care much for them, as long as they aren't hostile (terrorists, enemy factions/tribes, cults, fugitives, etc.) they don't mind. Bad guys come through the portals too. XD

And Unita does consist of outsiders, really. People who come from the portals from our world are normally rescued and taken to Unita under their safe wing. People who are born in Eden, however, are called Edenites, while poeple who were either taken to Unita (and naturalized) or born in Unita are called Unitians. People who travel from our world (or other worlds) are just called Portal People. Most Portal People become Unitians, though some become Edenites if exposed to Eden too long, or if they integrated with one of the many factions that lie outside of Unita's borders.

Huh. (Quickly becoming my most used phrase on this site.) Well, that's nice. Matterson would like to keep his sanity, thank you, he needs it, for, uh, psychology. And not being crazy. But that's a bonus.

Well it was supposed to be just a tunnel dug out through the ground, like a Vietcong tunnel or whatever though. XD Let's just call it the tunnels, I'll let the context guide thee. :)

You guys are free to do what you like at this point, it's like Skyrim now. Even though the objective is the Boathouse to the south, I'll only just generate the NP Cs and Creatures along the way. :) The main quest will resume once you get to the boathouse.

I really hope I won't have to hold your guy's hands throughout this RP... kinda stalled just now when I said 'go, be free!' XD Everything alright?

Stalling tends to happen in RP's from time to time, you didn't do anything wrong. It'll pick up in a few posts, I'm sure.

Yeah, well, at least we stalled at a point where other people can hop in, just in case if the players genuinely lost interest in the RP. Sucks that I couldn't edit the sign-up sheet to put up a better title though. xD

But what really bothers me is that we stalled at the 98th post mark. I was 2 posts away from at least having some good RP cred! xD

I mean, if you so desired, you could start an event or something to speed things up.
