No thank you.
The only think I look forward to about this movie is that once it's finally in theaters, I don't have to worry about having to watch its absolutely terrible trailers anymore.
Seems like a lot of companies are still following the Dreamworks style of 3D movies. Put in a lot of pop culture references, play a few hit pop songs, and make the characters really obnoxious.
I remember we used to have bad 2D animated movies, but I don't recall them being as annoying as bad 3D movies.
The extra problem here is that it doesn't even look well-animated.
Maybe I'm just spoiled by what we get from the good CGI animation companies (Pixar, Dreamworks, even Lego Movie and Peanuts movie, etc), but I'm not seeing much to indicate they really cared to make this look very good.
Well, as much as this movie looks like a low budget Open Season/Madagascar rip-off it's also, Lionsgate's first animated feature before starting work on the MLP movie, so I can see why it looks so shitty.
"We be we baby!"This looks like one of those animated movies that you randomly find on Netflix when browsing for something to watch out of boredom. Usually these movies ends up being so-so, forgettable, or downright shitty. The only rare exception at the top of my head has been Delhi Safari.
Eh. I might go see it anyway. Even I need my yearly dosage of bad films.
I write stories and shiz. You can read them here.So I take it I'm the only one here kinda looking forward to this yet again? Okay. Fine. Whatever
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.Ugh.
Shoo her in, Effie darling, shoo her in.Same studio as Alpha and Omega? Rob Schneider as the lead? Cruddy animation? A plot straight out of Captain Planet? January release?
Wow. Can't wait to see internet critics tear it apart.
Well, we only have to wait and see how shitty it gets. I survived The Hateful Eight, what could possibly go wrong here?
"We be we baby!"I kind of disagree with the first bulletpoint. A&O wasn't that bad. It'd be worse if this film was being worked on by people from the sequels.
Seems like it. What is it that's appealing to you, though? This really likes like a pretty run-of-the-mill kids film like Nut Job.
My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013Eh, looks ok I guess. A polar bear lead is an interesting choice.
Just like The last bear lead.
"We be we baby!"Rob Schneider is in this crap?
Does that mean it's offensive to polar bears like when he wears makeup to be a Mexican, Chinese man, or a Hawaiian?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Well, it's an improvement since this is animated and not live action.
"We be we baby!"It's still Rob Schneider, someone is gonna be offended. White people are offended by him even existing.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Ya, im no fan of Rob. And Open Season was meh.
@12: It just doesn't seem that offensive to me. I'm not seeing the unspeakable horror everyone else is.
But hey, this is coming from the guy that liked such classics as Chicken Little and Cars 2, so what do I know, right?
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.I remember watching a commercial for it and it gave me vibes of Food Fight. I don't have faith in this movie now.
"We be we baby!"I dunno, man, I'm kinda offended they think I'd want to watch it.
Borne By StormsI'm neutral on this. I don't think this is the best animated film ever, but I do like animals. And I don't think there's that many animated movies with Rob Schnider in them.
That's because Rob Schneider is a terrible actor.
An accurate representation of the quality of his movies
He's also an Anti-Vaxxer. Not relevant, but fun fact.
Now known as Cyber Controller
Norm of the North (2016)
Displaced from their Arctic home, a polar bear named Norm and his three lemming friends wind up in New York City, where Norm becomes the mascot of a corporation he soon learns is tied to the fate of his homeland.
The plot is kind of a reverse to Madagascar, with an Arctic twist. It's kind of funny in some points, And I wouldn't be too quick to turn this one away. I also like that they can communicate with humans and not hide their identities like in most cases. I'd give it a view. your verdict?
"We be we baby!"
