So, her hair's Clara Oswald, her outfit's Kaylee and her behavior's River. And still she makes it all work.
Also, showrunner Joseph Mallozzi posted his plans for the series. He states outright that there are only two episodes not ending in whams in Season 1 alone.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisHoho, FUN. I expected the General to be Actually a Doombot, as that was the reasonable thing to do if you're a terrorist mastermind. But, I expected that he'd do what One did: the real General may look different, but the clones have his "birth" face.
If One starts hating Three from the next episode onwards, that's gonna be stupid.
Also, as I said before, next week is the shitty-ass katana extravaganza, finally following on Four's character arc after spending a satisfactory amount of screentime on One and Six, and throwing some crumbs in regard to Three and Five. Which makes me wonder: eight episodes in, and we know exactly zero things about Two. Not even whether her Healing Factor is an unusual reaction to a zombie bite or an earlier development, since she's shown to be a nearly superhuman asskicker (possibly genetically modified).

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisThis show is incredibly dumb.
Point to the show for Four not giving a shit about being seen as gay. Minus five points for One being a whiny little douche about it. Minus 100 points for "No Homo" still being a thing in the future. You had a chance at worldbuilding, show, and then you fucked it up by giving bro dude Nice Guy modern sensibilities towards sexuality.
Minus 500 points for One not getting permanently mutilated in a way that perhaps gets Marc Bendavid off of the screen.

I'd be less annoyed at your shitting up the thread if the criticism wasn't so hollow.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisCriticizing a show for using a "no homo" joke so many centuries into the future is hardly hollow. Gee, its not like social norms don't change over time or anything. Transplanting modern sensibilities towards sexuality onto characters living in the future is just lazy.
And are you seriously going to say that Marc Bendavid is a good actor?
You're just being a douche, and a sanctimonious one at that.
People were stupid, are stupid, will be stupid. People were mean, are mean, will be mean. As much as some Pollyannas love to claim otherwise, this basic truth is not going to change. That and One being a dick, after being revealed to be a philanthropist millionaire is kinda amusing, particularly when it's contrasted with others, supposed cutthroats, terrorists and other unsavory folks, being nice and accepting.
Particularly when you consider how stereotypically fedora One is. "Look, I'm a Nice Guy, I want to bang you. Also, no homo."
As opposed to wild banging outta nowhere eight episodes in with no previous hints of sexual tension, like in other Friday Night Syfy series.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisMars, if you're going to come here just to complain, maybe this isn't the show for you. I feel like you're being sincere, but it still makes you look like a troll.
Longcoat, don't bring in other shows to complain about in this thread.
Actually, that comment is a reference to what Mars said in a different thread. I enjoy replying to people in their more-or-less exact words to prove how dumb they sound.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisYeah. As I predicted, things got stupid. But hey, at least One is now clearly defined as a two-faced douchebag. Most probably of the Screw the Rules, I Have Money! kind. And then it's gonna turn out that it wasn't Three who killed his wife.
I wonder about the Empress Dowager's Freudian Slip in the last scene, though. Will Emperor Hiro figure out, too late as we've seen, that he got maneuvered into his position of power?
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von Lewis...something tells me I'm assuming this correctly: Two is going to climb up the Raza's hull, enter the airlock again and bruise this matchstick-munching schmuck's other nut. And break his other arm.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisI'm kind of expecting a "Discretion shot of excessive gore" in fact. That's not even going to be shocking. The most interesting consequence is that her cover is going to be blown - he threw her out the airlock *on camera*. So that whole little charade she's been maintaining with the bite wound? There goes that.
Said charade shouldn't even have survived 1 seeing her work out. The weight on the bench was high, but not freakishly so, except she's repping kind of fast. Then she picks up maximum load dumbbells and *talks to one while casually working them*. Uhm. Yhea. Hilariously unobservant boy you have there two.

You were close, it was audio-only. The Earth-Shattering Kaboom brought by the MacGuffin in the end of the episode was a tad more shocking, though.
Also, even with Two being an Artificial Human, her abilities aren't far off from normal human capabilities. With the exception of the nanite system.

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisAlso, I'm calling it: it was the Android who wiped the crew's memories.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisThat's what I think too. The question then becomes, on whose orders?
Trump delenda estWesley Crusher, apparently.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisOnly up to Episode 7 but I'm noticing something. The impression I got at first is that the Raza was a long established outfit, at least long enough to have their fearsome reputation. But now it's looking like they all joined fairly recently, probably no more than a year. Maybe the Raza is something of a Dread Pirate Roberts thing?
Trump delenda estKind of liked that Two took a ding to her rep for the Artificial Human thing, looking promising for using her knowledge of One's identity as leverage later.
As to it may happen but I'm holding out for a Personality Swap situation amongst the crew and/or One's assumed to be dead wife to be a player in the situation.
Also, it would be nice to see how that necklace got there and what the black chip-thing did but mostly watching for personality composites.
Which black chip? The card that Five swiped from some rich guy and then showed to the Android? Yeah, it's curious, but I think that the showrunner is banking on a more subtle Chekhov's Gun for later seasons.
The necklace is much more interesting, though. It almost makes it seem like everything was rigged for the start to turn out like this.
What I don't like is Wil Wheaton's character introduced all of a sudden for the purposes of one final episode (it's a two-parter).
Hmh. Judging that Jace Corso explicitly said that One recently set him up to take his place on the Raza in Episode Four a Dread Pirate Roberts scenario might be likely.

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisSo, I made the wrong call. But, what's more important, I haven't expected what happened in the last episode. It is justifiable in-story, but particularly unlikely.
That, and I loved the Call-Back to the pilot in Episode 12.

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisI got to say I was pleasantly surprised as well. It was one of those things that makes perfect sense in retrospect.
Ha. Guess what.
Word of God says Six was a GA plant all that damn time, the only hint being another GA plant leaving him alone when he shot the General's clone and then appearing in the last shot of the finale.
That one went over my head, but it's less of a cop-out than the other interpretation.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisYou have heard of spoilers yes?
Trump delenda estIt's less of a spoiler and more a bad case of All There in the Manual. Which kinda sucks, as it took Word of God to explain where did One get that sun pendant from the first episode as well.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisRegarding the black key card that Five swiped, she said that she stole it from a guy with a beard. I'm pretty sure that was a reference to Wil Wheaton's character. There was no reason for her to explicitly mention the beard. Also, I thought I saw Two use a similar key card to escape the surgery room after she killed all the doctors.
Regarding the pendant necklace that One found under the pillow, remember that they each picked those quarters at random. So it's totally possible that he picked quarters that belonged to one of the others before the memory wipe and the pendant isn't his at all.
Jodelle Ferland is One Of Us as well as a superb actor; take a look at her social media pages, because she cosplays (indeed that's where the green hair idea from)... as Clara Oswald from Doctor Who.
