Super Teen Academy [Character Creation] (No joining required!)

This is just like my last one, you create a character but you won't be playing it.

Here's the extra kicker:
* You don't actually have to join this RP to create a character, nor will you later have to create a character to join the RP. * Create as many as you like, but note that I will make a list of ones approved of.

Setting: Heavily influence by the Whateley Universe:
* For example, the Most Common Super Power is actually a super power, it's called a Mentally Constructed Shape, you body changing into your own ideal shape. Not everyone has that power, but enough do.
** It may be heavily influenced by your other powers too, ie a pyrokinetic is liable to develop red hair.
** It may also effect personality, like making you quicker, more confident, whatever.
*** Or a hot-head, if you control fire or something.
** Most commonly comes part and packaged with super strength.
** Anything that might count as a power is not likely to count here, unless it's bestial.
** None of this is universal, or even a majority, just enough of a trend to stand out.
** It can go horribly wrong or horribly right.
* Other powers along side the normal lot are magic, the power to hold spirits to get a further list of thematic powers, super smarts or a very specific fields of smart and MAD SCIENCE.
* Mental disorders are also abound, such as the Memes and the Rage and more. The absolute worse of these are those who's power increases as they have their episodes.
* None of these need actually apply to your characters.

Now, for the sheet! I prefer something more open ended, so I'll present it in the form of a questionnaire.

• Who is this? Including apparent age and sex here, along with as full a physical description as you care to give. Of note, due to MCS, some students look a lot older than what they are.
• Where from? Describe history here. A place of origin would be nice, plus their general reaction from manifestation up until they came to school. Students come from all over the world and feel free to inject your own world building on how people treat metahumans. Here's where you might note a student's actual age, between 11 and 15, averaging out at 13.
• What now? After all those experiences, what does your character act like? Personality goes here, interests too. Skill would also go here.
• Which powers? Try not to go overboard but remember that damn near anything should be theoretically possible.

Hmm. Are Little Bit Beastly characters doable?

Is this dead? I'm interested but it hadn't been posted on in ten days...

Couple ways to achieve that:

1. Having animal bits its just part of your super powers, in which case it's called Body Weird Syndrome.
2 You have a Mentally Constructed Shape, where one of your conscious or unconscious ideal self-images included animal bits.
3. You're one of those who has the power to hold a spirit in your body, a Shaman. The animal spirit your holding is a ran or so above your own Shaman rating, so it "spill outs" on your physical shape.

Dadn't have to be.

Alright, cool. Gonna go with the first option, methinks. Gimme a few hours to get back from school and I'll put up my sheet.

• Mohan McKenzie
• Who: Age is hard to pin, male is an educated guess. Mohan is a mismatched monster that stands between nine feet and a story tall. Jagged red horns grow out of the brow of his feline face, their bases flanking the third yellow-green feline eyeball set between them. His face fur is orange, his right eye is human looking and blue and his left eye is solid black save for a tiny red pupil. He has purple porcupine quills for hair. His neck is yellow with brown spots, long-ish, resembling a giraffe's, and hides a freakishly long and forked red tongue. His torso is covered in soft downy feathers, green on his chest and cyan on his stomach. Folded on his back are giant butterfly wings, purple from the front but displaying a psychedelic combination of red, blue, yellow and green. His long, simian, arms have thick, long shaggy fur, orange at the shoulder and shifting to red until the wrist. His hands, covered in fish scales, are purple, shifting to blue right at the finger tips. Below the waist, he displays short blue fur down his legs, shifting to purple past his backwards bent second knees and ending with red hooves. Lastly, he has a reptilian tail starts purple at the waist, shifting to magenta at the end and displaying a tuft of pink feathers.
• Where: Mohan started in the midwest, born in an agricultural town he always thought he was too good for. Haughty, intelligent, withdrawn and, worst of all, good looking, and he thought his talents were wasted there. Then his powers manifested.
  • When his mind awoke to the power of the arcane, he thought he found his calling. Finally, his destiny was manifest, he was born to greater things. Even worst, with an MCS, he was even better looking than before. A flaw, however, in his plans. He had an intuitive understanding of magic, yes, but no magic power all on his own. When he received the invitation to attend the Academy, a fear gripped him. So long he had been used to be more special than everyone else but when he went to the the Academy he'd be less spectacular than those who naturally wielded the supernatural forces.
  • No one in town, except his parents, cared when he disappeared. He was never well liked, even less now that he became a mutant freak. Gripped in the fever of unidentified and low-grades Memes, he traveled up and down the length of the States. San Francisco to the West and New York in the East, taking months each to get to, offered the great bounty on the materials he needed to collect. He needed to steal.
  • Ethereal creatures from around the world emigrated with their native populations, hiding beneath the thin veil between the spirit world and this one. Mohan saw them and using his intuitive understanding of their mystical weaknesses subdued them one after another. He harvested pieces of their power in a crystal globe until it achieved a metastasis that satisfied him.
  • Fully gripped in the mad dreams of the Memes, he shattered the globe and sought to absorb his collected spoils for himself. He knew pieces of their minds existed in the power, and he fully intended to take upon himself their total mythical knowledge alongside their power. What he never anticipated was how much of their minds, their memories, remained. He fully remembered the pain he caused them and his Mental Construct began to change to reflect all of their disparate spiritual forms.
  • A small mercy, perhaps, that he was in a coma as his body painfully shifted to reflect its new Shape. He spent the time reliving in his dreams all the things he ever did to those spirits. He was found and reported to a local super hero team. His face was photographed before it was far too changed and his parents positively identified him. When he woke up, he was shipped off to the Academy.
• What: Many people expected Mohan to learn humility after his experience. It did not. He still does not think the things he reached for should be ever outside his reach. Certainly, his first attempt was flawed in execution but he's certain he's learned better. Rather, it taught him empathy. His first attempt was not only flawed, it was downright evil. Still so self-assured of his own specialness, he's determined to prove it by making magic things that will improve the quality of life of all people, with his name stamped on it of course. He not only owes this to the spirits he hurt, he owes it to himself to be a better person.
  • He still suffers from the Memes, although now it comes in distinct episodes rather than a constant low-grade twisting of his thoughts. He begins to rant and rave about his own brilliance and great destiny, how he will make the world a better, happier, place and everyone will love him. Like all Meme sufferers, he has a hard time comprehending the consequences of his actions until after his episode is over. Feelings, ideas and impulses fly too fast through his head for him to give them a second thought before he acts out on them.
• Which: Besides MCS, his primary ability is Intuition, an instinctual understanding of a certain topic. For him, it covers the rather broad field of magic. In his new form, it is even more powerful than before but now quite burdensome. Now specifically tied to his physical third eye, so long as he has it open, all the mystical connections of the world are laid bare and open to him. If he keeps it open for too long, however, he will start developing a headache, getting worst as he keeps it open. In the throes of the Memes, he will gladly ignore that pain.
  • He also has a small reserve of personal magic power. Not nearly so great as some of the other mystically inclined students, but a bit above a recently awakened baseline.

Name: Andreia Dos Santos.

Who is this?: Andreia is rather tall for her actual age, being around 5' 10". She looks 16 or 17, and is rather attractive, though she has some odd features. Namely, though she should have dark brown skin, it is instead very pale, which means she doesn't exactly tan well. Her hair is also very long (about lower-back-length) and snow-white. Her eyes are red, rather than the brown they are naturally. Finally, her ears are larger than normal and rather furry, ending in rounded points.

Where from?: Andreia is from a small town in Brazil called Iranduba, which is located in the middle of the Amazon forest and is next to the river Solimões. As a child, Andreia would play in the forest often, and knew her way around and what to look for quite well. When her powers and MCS developed at the age of 13, her parents, and indeed the community in general, was very understanding, and knew that if they saw an albino deer running around, it was just the little Dos Santos girl, nothing to be afraid of. But one day, a group of shady people came into town, and while she was out playing in the forest, they kidnapped her and took her to New York to sell illicitly, not knowing that she was, in fact, a human girl. However, when they got off the plane, she managed to escape, and is now hiding in NYC and hoping that she can scrounge money together to get a flight back home. It's probably worth noting that she doesn't speak a word of English, only Portuguese, and is 15 years old. Andreia has since contacted her parents and let them know that she's alright, but help in getting home may be a while in coming, since her family isn't exactly rich and Andreia doesn't own a phone.

What now?: Andreia is generally a nice girl, though she gets rather snarky when angered. She tries to help out with things when she can, and will try to befriend someone who looks like they need it. She's also prone to making aside comments and terrible puns (as well as her fair share of Toilet Humor) in Portuguese, but otherwise is very mature for her age. Since she doesn't speak English, she's become adept in communicating in a sort of sign language consisting mostly of motioning towards things and pointed glares.

Which powers?: Andreia has the ability to turn into a doe, albeit an albino one. She is also as fast as one no matter what form she's in, which gives her some impressive top speeds. To compliment her speed, her parents enrolled her in capoeira lessons, just in case, which she can use to great effect.

• Sign Name: Tabitha
• Who is this?: She looks quite young, about 10-12. In human form, she has long black hair with bangs cropped just above her eyes. (Which are brown.) In her hybrid form, however, she gains cat ears and silver hair. Her eyes become amber and slit pupiled. She tends to walk around dressed like a witch.
• Where from?: Tabitha was born to a witch mother and nekomata father. She lived a short period of happiness following her birth, until her father was caught in cat form and skinned. Tabitha doesn't really remember much of this, but it left an impact on her life nonetheless. She soon after entered school, and nothing really eventful happened to her during those years. Though she did garner a handful of onlookers due to her incredibly high magical potential... Also, people her age didn't know nor care about that magic stuff (she went to normal schools up until now) and tended to make fun of her for her quietness and odd personality. She's actually 15, her heritage just means she ages slowly.
• What now?: Tabitha has a natural deadpan, so her true feelings can be opaque sometimes. She's got a kind of dark sense of humor, which sort of clashes with her flair for theatricality. She likes spending time alone, though she's not averse to spending time with small groups of people. You'd better be careful, though- she's got a vengeful streak, and if you piss her off or upset someone in her small group of friends, you'll find yourself in a weird prank or nasty curse. Some people say she got that from her father, but who knows? She's nice to people who are friendly to her though. And she reaally hates the fur trade.
• Which powers?: Tabitha knows a wide variety of magicks, but she specialises in curses and attack magic. She can also control shadows. Additionally, she has three forms- fully human, hybrid, and cat. Her cat form has silver fur, like her hair.
• Other: This didn't seem to fit anywhere, but I thought it was an interesting thing to note that she can never have children. She's a hybrid, after all.

I hope she's not too similar to the one above me. :'D

• Sign Name Here Drake Wilson
• Who is this? Drake is… not a very attractive guy. He’s not ugly in the strictest sense, just really creepy with his skinny (almost sickly) and bony appearance, long limbs and fingers that remind one of spiders ,fog-grey eyeballs and skin, and pitch black hair.
• Where from? Drake was born to Jack Wilson and… an unusually kind Eldritch Abomination named Rgonny. Rgonny took the form of a beautiful woman and met his father in a bar. After a one night stand, Jack would not see “Regina” for another 13 years. 9 months later, Drake would be left on Jack's porch with a note saying that this was his and Regina's son. On his 13th birthday, Drake fell comatose and spent two weeks on life support as his body slowly changed from normal to what he looks like now. When he woke up, Rgonny was at the hospital and explained to the boy and his father of Drake’s and her own nature. She said that she tried to eliminate all Lovecraftiness from Drake’s body, but now sees that she only managed to suppress it, and that she left Drake and Jack because she wanted her son to grow up as a normal human without a horrific abomination as a mother. Jack and Drake are surprisingly understanding of this, but still chew her out for not telling them about what Drake may become. Jack, who doesn't know how to raise a half-unholy crime against nature nature, and Rgonny, who doesn't know how to raise a half-human, decide to send him to Super Teen Academy.
• What now? Drake is altruistic and has a very For Happiness philosophy, but can and will be coldly pragmatic if the situation calls for it. If no else does, he usually takes charge in an emergency.
• Which powers? Due to his mother’s suppression, Drake is not nearly as powerful as you would expect a half-eldritch abomination to be, but is still no slouch. He has a weird and disgusting form of shapeshifting with which he can form simple constructs (rope, blades, clubs, hooks, etc.) out of his own body (rope made of veins and nerves, a chain made bone, a blade made of teeth) so long as he doesn’t violate conservation of mass, typically digesting organs he doesn’t immediately need to provide the matter for these. He can create two portals, one for entering and one for exiting, but they can only be formed in his line of sight. These portals access a spatial dimension that humans can’t. He can break his body apart into a swarm of spider like beings. He can emit a sonic Brown Note, which drives the victim to complete insanity for about 5 minutes, but doing so gives him a migraine and he hates it. Finally, he has a powerful healing factor, but it still can’t violate conservation of mass so he’ll probably be chowing down if he loses an arm. He's also immune to revelation-induced madness.

How would a Clockreaper work out, someone who was meant to manifest time powers but didn't before their death yet was made into a reaper because of it? So basically they would have complete mastery of time when it came to souls and the dying, making them really just useful for emergency healing & freezing ghosts in place.

All y'all mind, non-metahumans should be a minority among the student population.

And mostly, it's just called "The Academy", actual name pending.

Plenty of ways! Especially if his powers were mystical in nature. A warper, which include people who manipulate time, may blur the line, as once you start tinkering with the fundaments of the cosmos with your mind, you're a little-bit a wizard.

Hmm... Pyrokinetic who can manipulate the gravity of things engulfed by their flames? Lesser Demon who by absorbing just a sliver of an ultimate artifact was able to absorb souls to become a proper being and legitimate powerplayer? Someone who can absorb emotions to use to power various effects? What about someone's whose whole power is just generating wings of darkness which they can manipulate (no limitation on wing number if allowed)? Mayheps a magic orb that can manifest the soul trapped within, going from a body aura to shapeshifter weapon stuff?

I'm antsy on on anything with "no limit" and some of these sound like NP Cs rather than P Cs.

Althought, mayhaps I should make a format for NP Cs.

What about a vampire beastmaster who uses dead animal parts to make a magic exo suit and pretend to be Alex Mercer with it?

Uh, some kind of Frankenstein-focused Artificer (Mad Science!), maybe? Bit more difficult, a necromancy focused Sorcerer (That is, a metahuman with magic as their power). Or maybe both?

And if you wanna reason for using animal parts beyond, "No seriously guys, I'm not a psycopath," you could justify that pretty easily as a magical limitation.

If vampire, my reasoning would of been that animals were everything to them and now they're broken because animals instinctively hate their strain so they try to fill the hole with animal exo suit. If not vampire... Magical curse that makes animals instinctively hate them, forcing the beastmaster/animal lover to resort to a bone mech to fill that little hole in their soul?

Vampires likely wouldn't go to the Academy anywho. All the different breeds of vamps have their own support groups.
