The Prince of Foolish Relevations
#51: Mar 6th 2015 at 5:48:59 PM

  • Name: Samson Cresting, the Disappearing Frost (which pretty much no one calls him by or really even know about)
  • Gender: Male
  • Species: Proto-Demon (human infected/born with demonic essence and a deeply bonded curse that'll transform him upon giving in to evil)
  • Appearance: Light-skinned with blonde hair and blue eyes, standing at five foot nine. His short hair covers a cross scar on his forehead, while two more have been burned over his eyelids. His normal attire is black, with a white undershirt and gold accents for his unzipped hooded jacket and black cotton pants. Worn around his neck is a silver cross, and his gold accented gloves also have crosses emblazoned on them. Besides that, his general build is more skinny than muscular, but none the less seems normal enough. He also shaves his facial hair to deliberately look younger.
  • Personality: Samson usually comes across as uncaring of the world's seriousness, instead favoring insanity and fun. This is partially a façade as he doesn't want to become crushed under depression from the things he's seen. In fact, it is rather easy to terrify and freak out Samson, whose desperation to avoid becoming evil can reach extremes at time. Though, he generally considers morality to be willing choices that people can make and that nothing is inherently good or evil. However, he does believe that doing good and fighting evil will make one a good person. He also very much believes power is a dangerous thing to give anyone, thus he'll generally avoid interfering with normal crime and normal citizens to avoid prompting even more people to seek out power.
  • Ward: Mainly wanders aimlessly, though goes to The Hollow to bum off his adoptive mother/sister whenever he needs a break.
  • Goals: To free himself of his demonic curse, and also preserve the safety of people by studying & hunting dangerous super entities or super criminals. Outside of these things, the only other goal he strives for is a better world for all.
  • Bonds: Monster Hunting is primarily what he lives for, as it allows him to take his frustration out on things that deserve pain. He primarily works for a semi-Freelancer organization known as H.U.N.T.E.R.S (Hunting Unlikable Nonhuman Terrors Eternally Rending Souls), checking in with branches or groups throughout Starline for hunting jobs. He's fond of his adoptive mother Alision Anderson (who insists on being called his big sister instead) for raising and protecting him. He also has some contracts outside of HUNTERS he meets with, a male human inventor named Kris whenever he needs information on Silicon Street and a Shapeshifter clothes designer called Kittan Christian whenever he needs something made. However, he also has a worry/love for a Star singer calling herself Angel Princess Liliana who he rescued two years back and had to leave due to his demonic aura making her sick.
  • Enemies:
    • Demons, due to being cursed and molded from pre-birth to be a demon super soldier. He'll often drop his fun-loving façade when around demons, instead twisting it into hateful mockery whenever he ends up preying on demonkin. He'll also quickly get annoyed whenever someone steals or denies him a demon hunting job.

    • Overzealous individuals, on the other hand, will generally only annoy him if they persist on calling him evil. He generally won't do anything to help others being harassed by them, though will interfere if he thinks they're going too far and believes the individuals they're targeting aren't evil.

    • He generally tries to avoid simple animals, loathing whenever he gets stuck around any due to their hatred of him. He's incredibly uneasy having to approach large collections of them, and will usually pass over any jobs that'll require him to deal with or be around simple animals.

    • He also hates it when people expect those with powers, magic or advanced technology to use them for the sake of others. This mainly comes from his belief that showing off such things to normal civilians will cause conflict, which is backed by the times the "monsters" he hunted weren't actually causing problems.

    • Speaking of, Samson greatly hates seeing the word monster be used to describe anything different from humans as he considers it negative. Inversely, he also hates it when horrible people are called human or claimed to possess humanity, as for lack of a better word Samson uses humanity to describe the quality that makes individuals good and motivates them to help others.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Most notable is his Demonic Aura, a constant presence he emits that registers him as evil to those that can detect it. Thus dogs violently hate him, holiness harms him, and evil thinks him one of their own. While this is mainly a curse, he has managed to find one good thing out of it: Being able to safely wield dark objects, such as his three relics.

    • Samson is familiar with the weaknesses of many supernormal entities, though only has minor skill in concocting or forging items to exploit these weaknesses himself and instead spends his money on these things.

    • As part of his training to become an official Monster Hunter, he began studying Ice Magic. He never finished his provided training, which would of made him a moderate user. However, he is skilled enough with Ice Magic to freeze water, generate crude ice structures, launch them in one direction, and cause them to explode. Some of his most notable spells are creating an ice pillar from beneath nonfixed structures (such as himself), spheres of ice he can detonate, and blasts of sharp shards.

    • His ability to use magic, separate from his lackluster learning skill, is surprisingly good as he's rather capable of working out a magical item's power. This mainly lends itself to pure magic, though he has been able to learn the functionality of magitek easier because of it. This likely finds its basis in his demonic aura, though his actual usage of his relics and studying of magic items is what makes it so intuitive for him. In addition to that, he's able to draw from his magical items to improve his mana pool (making it 120), which is normally about 40 points otherwise. His small natural mana pool takes a while to fully regenerate however (five per post), with the mana derived from his items, while rapidly regenerative, is only able to power said items or be converted into infusing them with Ice Magic (thus needing to regenerate his own mana to use his proper Ice Spells).

    • From his usage and combination of his items & Ice Magic, he has developed multiple techniques
      • Dasher Line: One simple high-speed six foot dash thrust with his sword held out, Freeze Charging can create Blizzard Line (which leaves a trail of ice crystals which will explode) or Frost Cloak (rushing forward coated in an icy aura). This can also change into Dasher Assault, which involves rapidly teleporting away from the target to strike one or more times. (10/15/20 Mana)
      • Dashing Arrow: Condensing some energy, Samson fires a quick small blast meant more for interrupting actions than causing damage. Channeling Ice Magic transforms it into Piercer Ice, a rapid shot meant to puncture. Dashing Arrow/Piercer Ice can also be rapidly fired, becoming Dashing Barrage/Piercer Spread instead. (5/10 Mana per shot)
      • Dirty Punch: Condensing some energy from his gauntlet, Samson launches a solid hitting grey fist. Channeling his Ice Magic into the spell transforms it into Frost Hold, an outstretched ice hand gripping onto the target. (5/10 Mana)
      • Droning Wall: A slow moving barrier, it is meant to block attacks and push away solids. Freeze Charging turns it into Freezer Field, chilling anything it touches or passes through. (10/15 Mana)
      • Drop Crater: Charging up a huge sphere, it'll punch away and crush through solids upon hitting it, being more effective on rigid stationary objects than people. Freeze Charging it produces Blizzard Crusher, which will also explode into multiple ice shards upon impact. (30/40 Mana)
      • Explosive Trigger: Any ice spell can be detonated, allowing for moves to be canceled out or an attempted recover for a missed attack. (5 Mana to trigger)
      • Howling Wolf: Shooting forth a three foot wolf head, it is meant to push away and break targets with its force. Freeze Charging it creates Glacier Wolf, which has the additional effect of chilling targets. (20/30 Mana)
      • Glacier Impact: Samson's Ultimate Ice Spell, he uses all his natural mana to form a large ice boulder in the air to drop. (40 Mana)
      • Ice Blade: Forming a small ice spike, it gets launched forwards at rapid speeds. (10 Mana)
      • Icicle Bomb: Small spheres of ice that can be remotely detonated, more useful for disrupting someone's movements or
destroying small objects from the inside. (5 Mana a piece)
  • Icicle Impact: Moving up into the air, Samson pulls out his sword and comes crashing down blade first. Upon making impact, ice spikes go up on his sides. (40 Mana)
  • Icicle Mine: One fragile square of ice, it'll explode into a frenzy of ice shards at whatever first touches it. (20 Mana)
  • Move Cancel: Can cancel out his movement by teleporting.
  • Teleporter Reposition: Can rearrange his position mid-teleport, though he can't actually sense anything during a teleport.
  • Trickster Shot: Dashing with his sword held and teleporting behind a target to temporarily confuse/worry them, Samson quickly fires a Dirty Punch at their back. (25 Mana, varies on distance traveled)
  • Assets: Besides the clothes he wears and money he receives from his jobs, he carries three magical items on himself at all time. The first is a blue ring he wears on his right hand, allowing the wearer to teleport within fifteenth feet for ten mana. The second is a black, somewhat spiky gauntlet he wears on his left that has its own internal mana pool of sixty which is used to power non-elemental magic projectiles (and only projectiles). Lastly is a crimson blade with a black hilt (sheathed to his back), which can allow the wielder to move unimpeded by gravity for short bursts. He doesn't go around telling people these actually have power however, passing it off as magic he learned. However these items' components of souls can be sensed by those capable, and in most hands these items will gradually wear at one's sanity as the souls beg for freedom.

    • Samson also carries around a smallish satchel to keep a personally constructed grimoire (listing supernatural removal incantations & rituals, weaknesses as well as constantly being updated with information on special individuals or new species), which also gets filled with items he purchases for his current job.
  • Bio: In short, Samson was brought into this world by two demon mages as part of their experiment to create powerful artificial demons, accomplished by providing demonically tainted humans constructed items that would fuse with them upon their metamorphosis. The result would thus be an abomination that wields normal demonic powers in addition to amplified versions of their artifacts' powers. However, these two demons were exorcised from their Pleasantville host by a female Monster Hunter named Alison, who proceeded to take the infant Samson upon his biological parents' request.

Alison proceeded to have Samson checked over for evil magicks, and was worried upon learning about the metamorphosis spell and its trigger. Informing HUNTERS about his nature, Samson's life would be spared as long as he did not turn to evil. Thus growing up very aware of his curse's trigger and clearly told it would end badly for him, Samson couldn't find much joy in his life until he was offered training as a hunter by Alison shortly after his twelfth birthday. While he easily took to mundane training, his difficulty with learning magic was extremely frustrating for him. Alison decided to work around this by providing him the three items she recovered from the house she exorcised the demons, believing them to be normal enough magical items. He took to them quite easily, proceeding to abandon his study of spell casting to master these items.

While he did start to feel better upon getting to hunt evil with Alison and completing jobs, Samson still didn't feel quite alive. Thus he decided to visit Pleasantville, partially to learn more about his birth Ward and for some peace. Instead he proceeded to upset a group of Nephilim after interrupting a clearly bad date for a quiet mousy girl that one of them was studying, resulting in a horrible time for him as he absconded with the girl who had been hurriedly bonded with an artifact meant to make her an angelic weapon for those Nephilim's crusade against all things "evil". This was the first time Samson felt love, and that love proceeded make his life feel true after discovering Liliana's angelic artifact was making her sick to punish her for not attacking the 'evil' presence she was casually staying with.

Ever since having to leave her two years ago, twenty year old Samson has been putting his all into fighting villains, moving up from standard supernatural entities and hunting technological & superspecies individuals on his own motivation in addition. He's currently working on acquiring enough money to acquire new magical items, as well as finding someone or something capable of removing his demonic curse.

Sorry for not giving more specifics on his past, I would prefer to use that stuff for flashbacks anyways. Besides that, the list of moves I provided is more to let you know what he can do rather than explicitly be all that he can do.

  • Name: Cornelius Hawking/Kris Irons/Repulsor
  • Gender: Male
  • Species: 3/4th Human, 1/4th Unknown Magical Entity
  • Appearance: Cornelius, for the most part, looks like a normal light skinned short haired five foot ten averagely built human with green eyes... Except for his distinctly metallic silver hair and metallic palms/underarms. While some might claim this is a result of his gynoid mother, the metallic coloration is actually inherited from his very much not mechanical father. In addition to that, he has never grown body hair and can generally be considered attractive (if not by much).
  • Personality: Cornelius Hawking is generally what one can call a calm reasonable intelligent individual, and generally tries to come off as such. His pseudo split personality, Kris Irons, however makes it clear he's actually easily excited and quite friendly if he didn't try so hard to avoid emulating his father. Though, Cornelius is sincerely disgusted by more inane or perverted actions, and nearly always just one badly thought out sentence from spewing an angry broken rant. When he becomes Repulsor however all that barely contained anger seems to disappear.
  • Ward: He was born in Silicon Street and lives there, though frequently visits Nova and more magical Wards.
  • Goals: To bring about the fall of Gods, Idols, and generally anyone with power due to believing them to be detrimental to the common folk in the long-term. To accomplish that, Cornelius aims to create a subservient race of super soldiers. To complete that goal, Cornelius studies all forms of magic/technology/biology that he can until he knows all forms.
  • Bonds:
    • Richardson Craftworks, a rather simple company his father started that produces simple enough artificial general intelligences, normal clones, artificial gestation for natural entities, and not-overly-complex robots for mundane purposes. While it really doesn't stand out for Silicon Street, its mainly marketed to those in other Wards.
    • Dear Sweet Mama, who while a somewhat obviously mechanical woman (little gaps in her skin for every joint and a USB port at the back of her neck) is nonetheless a fully aware individual. While Cornelius is completely certain her caring personality was deliberately programmed by her creator, he doesn't care and is very serious in being a good son.
    • Sarah Nexus, though he mainly refers to her as Nexus, is the prototypical Queen for his Mella race (and in fact the prototypical Mella in general). While Cornelius is fully confident her loyalty is him being successful in designing Mella magi-bio to be obedient, she is loyal all on her own accord because she believes in his mission.

    • Self Made People, and others that strive for greater purposes are individuals Cornelius highly respects due to not letting the "natural course" rule their lives. In that regard, he begrudgingly respects Stars that worked to get where they are instead of simply exploiting natural abilities or items they didn't design.
  • Enemies:
    • Stars, partially out of disgust at his father's casual abandonment of numerous universes & families/friends and his senseless need to make artificial entities or empower existing ones making him distrust power. The other part comes from his observation of their disunity, firming believing that the mythical "Hero" was multiple individuals working together than some omnipotent entity. He similarly hates the worship of Stars as it makes him feel like the civilians are too lazy to make change. "If only some are remarkable, then something is very wrong with all of you."
    • Publicity, as he sees it unnecessary for heroes or self-funded helpful organizations to bother making themselves known. Even when they're justified or at least excusable, he still doesn't like the fact they had to make themselves known to be understood or accepted.
    • Pointless Frivolities, as he sees it as a massive waste of time and resources that could be used for better things. This applies to even himself, having very sparse birthday parties and doesn't even celebrate the birth or creation of his minions.
    • The Bizarre, more due to the fact he can't easily study these things to exploit though he does greatly hate having to deal with non-logical events.

    • His Birth Name, due to his disgust of his father he despises his real last name of Jones. Mentioning that name will quickly anger Cornelius regardless of the persona he's currently in, fully associating that name with reckless creationism and complete disregard for others.

    • Accusations of Perversion, as he deems it completely detrimental to his goals and considers such accusations as undignified thoughts that no truly intelligent individual would have. Most of these accusations he's received has mainly been about his Mella project, which he's only explained to other Silicon Street creators for input and Samson. (It really is innocuous, the accusation comes from the fact he's making them all female and capable of bisexual reproduction)
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Magic Biology: Cornelius is the grandson of a creature of purest creation, one embodying Metal. Due to this blood being diluted twice by humanity, he's not much more remarkable than normal humans. However, he does have mildly lengthened natural longevity (120 years), better regenerative abilities (cuts will heal within mere minutes, while regrowing a whole arm will take a month), slowed aging, and an oddly durable neck bone. His biology also seems inherently designed to fulfill some arbitrary concept of attractiveness, making him believe his grandfather must of been some creation of a sorceress. In addition, while anti-magic won't kill him, it can be painful and strong enough anti-magic can temporarily negate his magical aspects.
    • Weak Metal Manipulation: Cornelius is able to manipulate small pieces of metal, pitifully tugging or pushing larger pieces at best. Cornelius makes effective use of it nonetheless, constructing machines faster than normal and being able to build things without actually touching them. Its also useful enough for a desperation attack, and he can easily create mundane tools from junk.
    • Magically Incapable: Due to his grandfather's quite explicit design, Cornelius has great difficulty trying to use external magic. He can use magical items and magitek just fine though, and doesn't have any issues powering things using his magical nature. His incapability to use magic however seems to make him resilient to magical transformation, and will eventually undo any that successfully worked (even normally permanent ones).

    • Personas: Less of an actual ability and more of an instability, Cornelius' personality will become notably different whenever he embraces a specific mood. Kris Irons is the result when he becomes happy, while donning his Repulsor Suit and setting out to fulfill his mission results in him being supernaturally calm & determined. Nonetheless these are simply amplifications of existing traits, though whenever he shifts personas he will shift names as well. He deduces this to be some magical second personality trying to establish itself, and having difficulty in forming.

    • Skilled Creator: Cornelius is very proficient in building tech and constructing genetic codes, to the point he can create functional powered suits & even genetically construct (for now one) super entities.
  • Assets:
    • The Repulsor: Corneilus' standard suit of powered armor, it is a suit of titanium given a gold and silver coloration. It is designed to manipulate electrical attraction, though Cornelius couldn't get it to work past violently disrupting objects without resorting to magic to achieve his desired result. Said result allows him to disrupt solid objects to move through them and safely rebond them, though functionality might be disrupted making it very dangerous to use on organics. In addition to that, its much easier for him to disrupt simpler stationary objects than moving and/or complex things. However, the main function comes from its ability to repel or pull in objects. Thus it can be used to achieve not-flight, and is very useful for deflecting solid projectiles & repelling/pulling in individuals. Its not so useful for bigger and/or more unstable things. Cornelius makes sure to keep several back-ups in case the current one gets destroyed or lost, and he also designs them in a way he can convert a suit into a storm of small metal projectiles. The rest of the suits' functions are quite simple, with the most notable being the 360 degree holo-field he projects inside the visor and a disguising system so he can wear it at all times. Each suit is also somewhat difficult to operate, an intentional design he gets around by using his metal manipulation.

    • Disruption Grenades: Weaponing the technological base of his Repulsor Suits, the Disruption Grenades are used to break apart whatever they're thrown at. The exact function of them varies, with some that magnetically seek out or ones that have incendiary elements. They all have two switches on them, one that affects if it'll trigger around organics and one that decides if it sticks to a target.

    • Holo-Watch: One small silver watch he wears, he uses it for multiple functions such as communication, computer purposes, and telling time. In all honesty it isn't all that complicated or impressive for Silicon Street technology.

    • Machine Metamorphosis: More of a fancy term than an actual name, these are a series of laser pistols that can also change into daggers, telescope into longer blades, link together to form more complex laser/blade constructs, and detonate as miniature Disruption Grenades.

    • The Land of Biology and Machinery: Otherwise known as LOBAM, it is the basement of his father's company that he uses to develop and store all his creations. The most noticeable things upon going down there are the visible stands for weapons and large tubes for growing organic mass in, with his backup Repulsor Suits being quite clear as well.
  • Bio: Born Cornelius Jones, he never actually met his father in person. When he was a child, Cornelius used to consider his father quite highly, believing all of his technology and exploits were clear proof of his heroism. However, when his mother played him a holo recording of his father's design on his twelfth birthday, he became uneased and ultimately outright horrified at how little anything seemed to matter to his oblivious father. The casual abandonment of worlds, leaving behind friends and family without tears, and senseless playing of creation for the sake of it... Cornelius could no longer think of him as other than an superpowered fool that considered existence his plaything.

From that point, he took up the name Hawking and began studying all that he could in an initially aimless fashion. He gained true focus as he examined Stars over the next five years, believing that unity would make their mission so much easier... and fully believing it would be too much effort trying to unify all the radically different individuals. However, his sincere belief in the possibilities of their unity motivated him to work on creating powered individuals so that he could command them in lieu of the hypothetical "Galaxy" that the Stars could of formed. To accomplish his goal of making this Galaxy of his he began hiring individuals to collect and bring back all kinds of data whilst he worked on making the Repulsor.

Once he constructed the first successful Repulsor by his twentieth birthday, he proceeded to arrive on the Star scene as a high-class thief and assaulter stealing genetic samples & things for his experiments. In the process he made it clear both hero and villain will be his targets. Though as his beliefs started to develop further upon becoming known as Repulsor, he began subduing villains & helping civilians while also attacking any hero that tried targeting him in an attempt to break faith in the concept. By now he has been Repulsor for five years, managing to avoid blowing his identity in that time.

  • Name: Merrow Madrigal
  • Gender: Male
  • Species: Fish-folk. Merrow specifically is half man, half angler fish.
  • Appearance: Merrow is a large and imposing man; he's got the body of a weight lifter. He typically wears a well-fitted light blue suit, water-proofed to look nice in all situations. His body is covered in fine scales, and is a pale greenish color, lighter on the stomach and darker down the spine. His most prominent features are the bright light on top of his head, his massive jaws with sharp teeth, and giant spherical eyes, almost all pupil. He carries himself with a relaxed gait and doesn't move much—he prefers to walk, rather than run, for instance. He always wears a big smile, too, always trying to push the Ugly Cute affectation!
  • Personality: Merrow leans really heavily on a nonexistent prejudice towards his kind. He always makes sure to act kindly and polite wherever he goes, so that people know that he's a great man, even if he is pretty homely—in fact, he believes that many people become proud to like him in spite of his ugliness! He abhors violence, but also understands that plenty of people don't really get you unless you start busting some heads, so he is also open to violence as a means to an end.
  • Ward: In the intersection between Ultramarine and The Hollow
  • Goals:
    • Significant expansion of Ultramarine by strategically flooding or developing parts of The Hollow and Embrace of Gaia while avoiding jeopardizing holdings in Tropica
    • Gaining widespread acceptance as a charitable businessman working for Ultramarine's best interests
    • Eradicating anyone who would happen to disagree with his expansionist activities
  • Bonds:
    • Merrow really appreciates anyone who can see past his anglerfish exterior into a great guy defined by his actions.
    • Merrow is pretty tightly bound to Merrow Homes, a real estate company responsible for holding a large portion of land in Ultramarine.
    • The Lure is Merrow's favorite club in the city, a nice cozy place in Tropica with beautiful music, drinks, and women. He owns it, but runs it from behind the scenes; he prefers to stay a patron.
  • Enemies:
    • The bastards that own his Winterland lodge the rest of the year are messy assholes who always wreck his place and don't clean up before he moves in, and he can't do shit about it.
    • Embrace of Gaia's gonna be a useful shitstorm of a district to control, and its swampier regions will be instrumental in expanding his holdings, but it doesn't play by the rules.
    • Folks who don't play by the rules in general are terrible for Merrow; he needs people to toe the line.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Strong: Merrow can bench 300 pounds. He doesn't really fight well, but strength offers great utility.
    • Anglerfish: Merrow can see in the dark, breathe either water or air, and has a wicked bite that's just as strong as his arms with the added benefit of being made with a mouth full of needles. However, this abyssal heritage also causes him to register strongly on the senses of beings that can sense evil or demonic creatures, and weapons typically associated with "smiting evil" work just as well on him as if he had horns and a tail.
    • Lure: Merrow has a light dangling from the top of his head that he can extinguish illuminate to the strength of a typical lightbulb at will. Very sensitive.
    • Business: Merrow is skilled at moving money quickly and through the best possible routes to get what he needs when he needs it.
  • Assets:
    • Money: Merrow has money, but lots of it is locked up in land throughout the city. While capable of a comfortable life, he cannot just throw money at a problem.
    • Land: Most of Merrow's net worth is in various high-profile places around the city through his company Merrow Homes. Prominent places that he would actually sell include:
      • A nice, spacious 2-bedroom apartment in Nova with an excellent view on Hero Tower and a 5-minute walk from a major transit station.
      • Time-share on a ski lodge in Winterland
      • A big, spooky tower in The Hollow
      • Merrow Homes's office is at the top of an expansive office building in Ultramarine, which rents to multiple different businesses.
      • Year-round ownership on a bungalo on the Tropica beach-front
  • Bio: Merrow's dad was someone known as THE SEA KING or something; he chose not to pry into what Dad did before he got married and had him. All Merrow knows is that he was raised by a wealthy retiree with holdings all over Starline City. That experience taught Merrow early that factionalism in Starline was silly; it was never about their themed areas, but about the people behind them. When Merrow inherited the business, he realized that that's what he had to do: expand his world. If Starline really was all one big city, then he would have to make it so. He began expanding his land holdings aggressively, buying and selling rapid-fire to turn profits over night. He has just finished a large round of buying and selling and is currently taking a few days off to recuperate before jumping right back in, hoping to make some good business deals and innovations first.

Name: Jacques Vuur. Alias: Flame Wing, for when he dons his suit to fight.

Gender: Male

Species: A demi-phoenix. (A human descendant of a phoenix. Not able to revive.)

Appearance: As a casual, Jacques wears a robe when in his home ward of Avalon, and a blue T-Shirt, shorts, and sandals anywhere else. He is tall, and due to his phoenix heritage, his brown hair is tinged with red. His eyes are a deep blue, and he wears glasses when reading. On his left arm is his trusty wristwatch.

As Flame Wing though, he wears a suit of lightweight metal armor that looks reminiscent of being set on fire. It is actually a high tech suit he got from Silicon Street in his travels that expands after pressing a certain button on his wristwatch, and can ignite thrusters on the back to make him fly. Through his mask, his eyes burn red, a sign that he has tapped into his powers. This also applies for when using them as a casual. When he is really mad or desperate, he can tap even deeper into his phoenix powers and covers himself fire armor in place of the suit, complete with wings.

Personality: Jacques is laid back, quite shy, but friendly. Somewhat pacifistic, he will fight to protect others, but he will first try to reason with their adversary. A stark contrast to his heritage, he is not all that fiery, actually quite calm. When he does something he believes in though, his passion for doing it could probably burn down the world if he had been a bona fide phoenix.

In contrast, Flame Wing is serious, to the point, stubborn, and fiery, yet still friendly to non-enemies. Woe be it to anyone that gets him mad though, for he WILL fry them to a crisp. He has a hair trigger temper in this form, and anyone attempting to harm the innocent or weak will face his wrath. He firmly believes in doing the right thing, regardless of anything else.

He is also extremely loyal to his comrades, only deserting them if the lives of many are on the line. He takes betrayal extremely badly.

Ward: He was born and now lives in Avalon, but his family moved to Silicon Street when he was young.

Goals: Jacques has very few goals. Protect the weak, innocent and his friends. He likes to live life by the day, and so doesn't really think up many goals. He does want to do something big, perhaps to bring all the wards, and the worlds, to peace.

Bonds:

  • He took up his powers to fight to protect the weak: He genuinely cares about people, despite not being all that social.
  • Any family and friends he has: He takes undying loyalty to the extreme, and will gladly sacrifice himself to protect those he is close to. Attempting to harm them will instantly trigger his anger.
  • Justice: It's primarily why he fights.
  • Peace: He knows it is nearly impossible to achieve, but it's something he fights for.
  • Pizza, Pasta and STEAK!: He loves these foods.

Enemies:

  • Needless Destruction: He finds people who enjoy destruction absolutely repulsive.
  • Anyone calling a phoenix a burning chicken. Seriously, don't call him that. He will show you why you're wrong.
  • Oppressive rulers: Oppressing the weak? Congratulations, you're now an enemy of Jacques.
  • Any thieves and criminals.

Powers and Abilities:

  • Elemental magic: Since he was born in Avalon, he has magical control over some elements. Since he lived in Silicon Street most of his life though, he only knows the basic ones now, like ice, water, earth, air, lightning and of course, fire.
  • Phoenix Fire: Owing to his heritage, his fire magic hits harder, faster, and is more efficient on energy. On the opposite side of the spectrum, his control over ice and water is weaker than normal. He also has access to his own personal elemental spells that takes advantage of his still mostly-latent powers. Phoenix Fire spells take a small bit of his health every time he casts them, as he burns it to charge the attack.
  • Superhuman Determination: It takes a lot to keep him down. He will pick himself up as many times as it takes.
  • Phoenix Form: In times of desperation, he can activate Phoenix Form, a form which cloaks him in fire. Since he only recently discovered it, he currently has access to V1, where there are small streams of fire appearing around him now and then, and a red aura that makes it extremely hot and humid near him. He also has an aural wing, enabling him limited flight and gliding capabilities. As he taps more and more into his phoenix side, the forms get progressively powerful.
  • Latent Powers: He had forms V2, V3 and V4 sealed away, and has never accessed them. V2 is like V1, except with 2 aural wings and fire emnating from him. V3 is full on fire armor, complete with wings. V4 is V3, but now, he has a projection of a true phoenix around him, and fire practically shoots out from him. These forms are a desperation mode, and they quickly burn through his health and energy.
  • The Flame Wing suit: It enables him to fly, and increases his strength, speed and endurance, while also disguising his appearance.
  • Flamehearte: A flame construct of a sword he uses in close combat. He fights on the defensive, and uses quick counters. He is also able to send a fire blade beam with it.
  • Unarmed Combat: Though not his forte, he uses his fire to enhance his kicks and punches.
    • Flame Punch/Kick: He darts forward, wreathing his hand or foot in flame as he delivers a punch of kick, also extending the reach as the fire flies off for a tiny distance..
    • Flame Charge: He envelops himself in fire as he attempts to tackle his target.
    • Phoenix Wing: An aural wing covers his front to block non-melee attacks, and soften heavy melee attacks.
    • Turbulent Lift: He covers his arm in fire as he delivers a rocketing uppercut.
    • Bushfire: A spinning sweep with a leg wreathed in fire, that lets out a slow moving wave of flames.
    • Phoenix Form: Wing Edge: He basically cuts the target with the wings on his back.
    • Phoenix Form: Explosion of Rebirth: He leaps upward, spreading his wings, causing a pillar of fire to erupt from underneath him.
    • Phoenix Form: Inferno Spin: He spins, spreading his wings as he unleashes a torrent of fire around him.

Assets:

  • A small apartment in Silicon Street.
  • A humble cabin in Avalon.
  • The wristwatch that tells time and houses his suit.
  • A few books on magic and family heritage.
  • Although he never uses it, he has a pistol at his house in Silicon Street.

Bio: Jacques was born in Avalon, but his parents soon moved to Silicon Street, bringing him with them. He never knew about his phoenix heritage until he nearly burnt down a factory he worked at after having a really bad day. When he discovered it, he was quite confused on how he should feel about it. After becoming witness to burglaries and other crimes, he swore to destroy crime, for his sake and others. So, he became a hero himself, to protect the weak and innocent. Thus, was the birth of Flame Wing. He fought small time criminals, and helped the police on a few occasions. After an incident involving an office building being destroyed by a bunch of professional criminals he was trying to negotiate with for the release of hostages from a robbery gone wrong, he awakened his phoenix powers, unlocking his Phoenix Fire and V1 form. Now, he aims to do something REALLY big time. To destroy any and all wrongdoing in the world. He currently works as an assistant chef in a fancy grill restaurant.

Is this okay?

((Forget the other guy, this is the one I'm going wiht for now. Tell me if I need to work on anything.))

Name: Saint Star Fall

Gender: Male

Species: Human (slowly becoming an abomination)

Appearance: Most of his skin looks iron-like and his right eye is a purple jewel. His hair is short and pink. The veins around his right eye are more visible. Anything that isn't a hastily attached limb appears mostly human-like.

Personality: Though he was originally human he is not fond of humanity and does not associate with humans in general. He usually refers to himself as metahuman and prefers to fight crime like a superhero, though his priorities are a little skewed he has done good. He does almost as much bad as good and tends to lean towards chaos than order or unity, but ultimately thinks of himself as good. Though he will do whatever it takes to complete his primary goal of becoming super powerful through the addition of supernatural items to his person. Thus he tends to act really odd.

Ward: Silicon Street

Goals: To become the most powerful thing in existence and if that fails, to be loved/feared by all. He will do anyhting to achieve this.

Bonds

Throttle: Saint Starfall works with Throttle so that he can have an easier time with obtaining more magical items.

Enemies

Samson Cresting: Saint Starfall hates how inadequate and insignificant he felt in the presence of Samson and has vowed to destroy or corrupt him.

In fact, his enemies can be lumped into the general group of anyone that doesn't love/fear him.

Powers and abilities: His base ability is to take any magical artifact or tool and incorporate it into his body. His ability set is limited to what artifaacts he has assimilated. He replaced his right eye with a magicaal jewel that supplies him with the necessary magic to graft magical items into and onto his body. He replaced his left hand with several pyrokenitic wands, and an orb that generates flames, allowing him to cast flame balls and generelly throw around fire. Jutting out of his back are two wing-like blades pointing downwards that cast a telekenitic field that he can manipulate which he uses to fly. He has also replaced most of his flesh with a mystical stone-like item that acts like skin but is near indestructible.

Assets

Hawking Alley: Saint Starfall has appropriated himself a lair in a forgotten alleyway in Silicon Street. It's outfitted with tables, maps, string and any number of things that he uses to track the locations of known mystical artifacts the he wishes to obtain.

Bio: Before he was Saint Starfall, he went by a normal name. He lived in Pleasentville and lead an ordinary and dull life. He hated the boredom and repeatitveness of his life. He never encountered magic or anything fantastic until his sister was possessed by a ghost one day. He barracaded her in her room for everyone's safety. He didn't know how to deal with it or handle it so he left a message at the local H.U.N.T.E.R.S. hub. Samson Cresting (who was sixteen at the time) took the job and excorsized the spirit from his sister. It must have been a routine job for him. Something mundane. He couldn't believe how Samson just dealth with and at such a young age. It broke him. He wanted to fight ghosts and battle demons, be worshipped as a hero with awesome powers. He left that day to go to Silicon Street where a musuem was displaying a rare magical jewel for some reason. He broke in and stole the jewel and some pieces of artifacts. Without any care he grafted them to his body. The process was haphazard and the end result isn't pretty, but he was able to combine them to his fleshy parts. From there on he does whatever he can to get people to love... or fear... him. He also sneaks over to Pleasentville every now and then to check on his sister, who has no idea what happened to him. He never interacts wiht her, just makes sure she's okay. He wouldn't her to see the terrible thing he's becoming.

  • Name: Vyvaen Nhailu
  • Gender: Female
  • Species: Extraterrestrial - Titanian with Mirandan ancestry
  • Appearance: Vyvaen is a 5'6" woman of average build, with reflective bronze skin and black sclera, grey iris eyes. Her grey hair is worn long and straight, with two bangs along the front of her face, one braided and one not, with a bun worn on the back. Her dress is multi-layered like a kimono, but with each layer a different color, each faded and stained with time. With her glamor she simulates a long red sash tied around her waist that wraps around and floats above her shoulders.
  • Personality: Vyvaen is, in short, crazy. She loves spreading chaos and misery, especially to those who have power or privilege, and revels in mayhem. At the same time, she has a strong sense of megalomania, carrying with her a deep seated entitlement complex that makes her feel like she deserves to lord over others. But despite her sadism and cruelty, she's also conniving enough to know how to put on a face. Even so, she's just waiting for a chance to let her facade crack and let the world know the real, unrestrained madness that is her.
  • Ward: Lives on the boundary of Orie and Silicon Street
  • Goals: Vyvaen's goals for Starline City are broad and diverse, and none of them are good for the city as a whole. The peace between wards, the shameful hiding of crime and corruption, the capacity to escape death as a consequence... she wants to get rid of all of that. But before she can even begin to approach the mayhem she wants, she'll need allies... resources... tools to begin dismantling this city piece by piece...
  • Bonds:
    • Orie: Has an odd affection for the ward of eastern cultures, though she will fully admit it's a superficial and shallow attachment. Still, she enjoys its sense of fashion and style.
    • Tragedy: Loves a good spot of mayhem and the shattering of hearts. It always hits the spot to watch others suffer.
  • Enemies:
    • Order: She finds the equilibrium Starline City maintains too stifling and artificial.
    • Royalty & the Elite: Whatever the causes behind her regicide, they extend to nobles of any sort.
  • Powers and Abilities: Vyvaen's physical capabilities aren't anything to write home to for the most part, most of her attributes comparable to an average human being's. However, her bronze-skinned body has a great deal of durability, so things lethal to a normal person she'd be able to shake off and keep going. Beyond this, she's able to fly at about the speed of a car (roughly 60 mph). Her most unique ability though is Ionian Detonation which allows her to create miniature explosions all along the surface of her body and clothes (without destroying them). While the explosions are too small to be lethal on their own, the blasts still have their uses.
    • Beyond this, she seems to have technological expertise, able to take devices and modify them greatly, often deviating sharply from their original use. There seems to be some sort of madness to her method though that makes her techniques impossible to reverse engineer through machinery alone, suggesting some degree of magic. This seeming technomancy also comes to programming and hacking as well.
  • Assets:
    • Titanian Glamor: Originally designed to change the appearance of clothing on the fly for Titanian royalty and premiere fashionistas, Vyvaen has modded it to actually physically alter her body, transforming her height, her frame, her skin and eye color, and altering her voice, while leaving its prior illusory fashion capabilities. The device itself can transform into various compact forms, typically appearing as a large piece of jewelry attached to the back of her hand while untransformed. (Note: It would be very dangerous for someone other than Vyvaen to try and use this device without modifying it to suit themselves.)
    • The Shattered Scepter of Royal Miranda: Originally the Titanian royal scepter, Vyvaen has desecrated it to no longer be the regal symbol it once was - the once glimmering staff has had its gilded gold chipped off, the great orb that once represented Titan now shattered and cracked. However, it's not just for appearances - so long as she has the staff in hand, she can break the orb into several shards which she can control within a meter radius of her. Though useless defensively, she can cut apart foes who try to get close to her.
    • Crest of Crescent: Inspired by tales of ancient Orie warriors able to split leaves in midair, Vyvaen set about modifying a stolen blade to do what in her mind was something similar. This technologically enhanced katana is the result - a sword that emits a line of light along its edge and when swung, cleaves nearly anything along the blade's line of sight, regardless of distance. It leaves alone flesh unless fighting up close and personal.
  • Bio: A traveler from another world, Vyvaen's history is mired in all sorts of irregular patchwork detail, as fragmented as the individual herself. What is known is that she is an escaped convict from a place known as Titan, jailed for regicide and as a danger to herself and others, her genetic history linked to madness. Myopic in her views about so called civil society and the artificial peace between the wards, she wants to tear off the guise of peace and expose all the hidden horrors and hush-hush corruptions in society to the world. Not for the sake of bettering it, but for Starline City to embrace its dark side and, like her, fall into madness.

  • Name: Wayne Maurice "The Habitant" Lafleur
  • Gender: M
  • Species: Human.
  • Appearance: Tall, well built and muscular. Wayne has blond hair which he combs back, blue eyes and a rather square jaw. Typically when off duty, he wears plaid and blue jeans, when perpetrating his Villain antics, he wears a Montreal Canadiens Uniform.
  • Personality: Wayne is something rare to Canada. An Asshole. His fellow Manitobans believed it was his Quebecois ancestry. His Quebecois relatives believed that American Pop Culture had corrupted him. Americans say that sort of behaviour is fit only for New York. And New Yorkers say that he acts "like some kind of fucking asshole". Lafleur is a prototypical troll and sarcastic bastard, prone to one up manship, backhnaded compliments, showboating and generally being unsportsmanlike. The closest he has to friends tend to be people who can keep up with his sarcasm and throw it right back at him and even then it seems more like a friendly rivalry doomed to end once one of them lets down their guard.
  • Ward: Winterland.
  • Goals: Show Starline how a proper villain gits 'er done.
  • Bonds:
    • Hockey: Wayne's a pretty big fan o' the Shinny game and is willing to either do a pick up or cheer on a game down at the old watering hole don'tchaknow, the way he figures it anyone whos a big fan of the real beautiful game can't be so bad at heart (Except Don Cherry)
    • Being the Best: Wayne is real competative at heart there and isn't gonna muck around when the puck is on the ice, so to speak.
    • Rick Mercer: He has a soft spot, alright? Don't go chirping a guy for it, Mercer is a real Canadian treasure.
  • Enemies:
    • Suckers: It's a sin to let a househound keep his toonies.
    • Don Cherry: That Donald Cherry guy is a real goof.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Hockey: Wayne's a bit of a rink rat, if you haven't guessed and can deke and fire off clappers with the best of them. He also had a real embarrassing summer where his mom accidently signed him up for figure skating which ended with a few cracked teeth until his buds at school stopped chirping him. Still, he can kick pretty high now which is pretty Skookum, he guesses.
    • Gadgeteer Savant: He's no genius with bits and pieces but when he nees to giv'r, he can build some real beauts.
  • Assets:
    • Powered Skates: Using a bit of the ol' technical know-how and bit of hoosing, Wayne got 'er done with a dusty old pair of skates. Now, they can switch between motorized inlines (though the wheels are necessarily very small), ice skates and razor sharp blades which can cut glass.
    • Nitroglycerin Gloves: He can shoot ice. He reckons it could do a real doozy to anyone if he got a decent shot.
    • Hockey Stick: This old beaut is real soup'd up; the end extends into a spiral scythe which is Wayne's weapon of choice, while the butt can fire off 'glycerin better than the gloves.
    • Kevlar Hocket Pads: You'd be a proper hoser to go out there and do supervillainy without it.
    • Grenade Pucks: You don't want to fuck these Biscuits, they'll knock out more than a few chiclets.
    • A Montreal Canadian's Jersey
  • Bio: Wayne, as mentioned previously, was something rare to Canada; An Asshole. This allowed him to walk past their most advanced security systems ("Please Do Not Steal" signs) and take whatever he wanted. When this behaviour ended up getting him booted out of his University Hockey Team, his antics only escalated; he started robbing Banks, LCB Os and even the Hockey Hall of Fame. At one point he joined a Super Villain team with Rob Ford, Conrad Black (then Lord Black), the Anthromorphic Personification of Quebec and Justin Bieber. Finally, he was convinced to leave when the RMCP (aided by Jack Layton's Ghost) trapped him and tricked him into watching a videotape by Rick Mercer, politely asking him to leave in both official languages. Realizing he'd be a total hose-hound to stick around, Wayne headed south to Starline-City, where he's already built up a minor reputation for petty eccentrics theft as "The Hab".

Second character that I may or may not use depending on if I get bored.

  • Name: Nieve, also known as the "Second Snow Witch of the North." But she dislikes the word "witch," and prefers "Cryomancer" if she must have a hero code-name.

  • Gender: Female

  • Species: Snow nymph, which is identical to humans except that she is immune to cold in any or all forms, her body has no freezing point, and she gets heatstroke/heatsick much more easily than humans. Humans prefer room temperature at 70 degrees fahrenheit, Nieve considers that sweltering and keeps her home at a much cozier 20 degrees most of the time. Oh, and sunburn. Also a big problem if she goes anywhere too bright like that infernal Tropica.

  • Appearance: Snow-white waist-length hair, symmetrical features with thin lips and a sharp nose, silver eyes, tall and slender build. She wears a very light blue, floor-length dress most of the time, appearing to glide seamlessly along the ground when she walks; the dress turns as white as her hair if she's angry. Nieve's skin is also ghostly pale, but it's hardly her fault, it's not like she can go out and get a tan now can she?

  • Personality: Despite being somewhat of a literal ice queen, Nieve is rather carefree and enjoys all sorts of nonsensical activities in her frozen homeland. She has a menagerie of pet penguins, is friendly to the local polar bears, is an expert ice sculptor and snowman-builder, and has even been in a snowball war or two during her time (before getting banned from most of them, due to the unfair advantage given by her Star powers). She likes interacting with people and has a special fondness for awful winter or ice related puns.

  • Ward: Winterland naturally.

  • Goals: Nieve is one of the primary advocates for Winterland in the city's complex Ward politics. She ensures that the other wards do not encroach upon her beloved frozen lands and deals with issues such as poachers coming in looking to get mammoth tusks and snow bear pelts, corrupt corps thinking they can test their dangerous devices or dump waste safely in the empty snow fields, and so forth and so on. Oh and that whole global warming thing? Yeah, that has to go.

  • Bonds: Nieve is a fan of most anything snow or winter related, and of course her favorite holiday is Christmas. She mostly subsists on snow water and the cold-water fish brought to her by her penguins while in Winterland, as not much else can survive up there, but when she ventures into a ward that has them she always makes sure to go for a snow-cone. Those are the best.

  • Enemies: Tropica and Underworld are her main rivals, those blasted people always end up melting the snow when they come to Winterland as tourists. Ultramarine can be a problem as well when its residents start over-fishing the arctic waters on the border between the two wards. Nieve is obviously not a fan of anything else to do with excessive heat, but she has a special dislike of fire and entities based around it.

  • Powers and Abilities: As a seasoned ice witch, erm cryomancer, Nieve has incorporated cold magic into her body to the point that she radiates a freezing aura anywhere she goes; just enough to keep her comfortable, without being so extreme as to cause serious harm to anyone more warm-blooded that happens to be around. This allows her to go into the other wards without having to be carried around in an icebox, and it helps to counter heat or fire based attacks that might be used against her, as it lessens their impact or completely fizzles out weaker ones. She has a range of cold spells at her command as well:

    • Freeze: Nieve super-chills the air at a certain point, dropping the temperature to extremely low levels in a matter of seconds. The snap-frozen air particles condense into a thick crust of ice around anyone and anything caught in the radius, making it difficult to move. She can also freeze inanimate objects solid, but most living beings are too durable to be frozen through (and besides, Nieve wouldn't want to do something that dangerous to a person anyways).
    • Flurry: Nieve transforms her body into a gale of snow for a few seconds, traveling through the air on an arctic breeze before re-forming it.
    • Ice Wall: Nieve can create large and thick sheets of solid ice taller than she is and the width of a city street. The size and shape can vary, with bigger walls requiring more effort.
    • Frost Armor: Similar to her ability to create walls of ice, Nieve can summon plates of armor and hand-held weapons made out of ice to help her fight in melee range if necessary.
    • Blizzard: Nieve expands and intensifies her wintry aura, consuming the surrounding area in a howling winter storm. Visibility is all but eliminated, frozen winds numb the senses and slow the joints, and razor-sharp hail tears at the skin. Maintaining the blizzard requires a great deal of effort, and if Nieve is already tired or injured she probably will not be able to summon it (or will only be able to summon a much weaker, less dangerous one).

  • Assets: Nieve lives with her family in a sprawling crystal palace that she sculpted herself, with the help of her magic. Packed snow carpets the interior and ice sculptures of all manner decorate its rooms. She has little in the way of personal belongings, as all of her power comes in her magic, and the natural elements of the frozen north are enough to keep her happy.

  • Bio: As a snow nymph of the North, Nieve is a quintessential creature of Winterland and a pillar of its community. As far back as she can remember, she has loved the cold and the snow, but her parents disapproved of her oftentimes cheerful demeanor, believing that such displays of emotion were not to be seen in a proper snow nymph. They relented however when Nieve began to display her incredible talent for snow magic, and are now proud that their daughter is one of the official "Ice Witches" of Winterland (they insist on calling her by the traditional title, much to her annoyance).

  • Name: Raymond Reynolds
  • Gender: Male.
  • Species: Human.
  • Appearance: Raymond can always be seen with a white suit and tie, as well a white fedora. He also carries two pistols on either side underneath his outer vest. Perhaps most striking of all is a white eye-patch over his left eye; if you look very closely, it almost seems to be faintly glowing.
  • Personality: Raymond lives in the present, and so, while he can still take the time to think about his next move, he won't regret or look back once he's done it. He also commits every single action with the utmost confidence, and can at times be overly flamboyant. Of course, living in the present means he isn't afraid to take risks, but he'll never intentionally put innocents in harms way when taking such risks. He can also be rather crafty and resourceful; when combined with his confidence and willingness to take risks, it makes him an at times un-predictable individual.
  • Ward: Raymond's home is Silicone Street, not that he likes the place. Silicone is home to the bulk of the powerful and corrupt in Starline City, which are his numero uno targets. It's also a bustling metropolis with many people who need something taken care of, but feel that they need to go outside of the police — and perhaps outside of the ward — to take care of it. Being a PI often takes Raymond out of Silicone, and so, while he spends roughly a third of his time in that one ward, he spends the other two thirds everywhere else.
  • Goals: Raymond's primary goal is to help the helpless. He also wishes to eventually take down the corrupt elite in Silicone City, though he realizes that doing so is a long ways off, and currently outside of his means. He also just wants to make a decent living; you can't help the helpless on an empty stomach, after all.
  • Bonds: Equality: Raymond absolutely loathes people preying on the weak, or the weak being taken advantage of. He also has a distaste for those in power, or at least those who gain that power at the expense of others. That said, don't expect him to demand absolute, 100% equality; he knows that the world will never be completely equal, and that there will always be some people in a higher position than others. But the least people can do is to use their higher positions to help those with lower ones, rather than to exploit them.
    • Devil's Corner: Raymond's locale of choice is Devil's Corner over in The Hollow. It's a bar where humans, demons, ghosts, ghouls, and people of all sorts come to sit back and relax after partying hard at festival Muerte. He enjoys sitting back and basking in the atmosphere, to take his mind off of whatever happens to trouble him. It's also an excellent place to gather information, and it's a rare case that doesn't involve him stopping over at the corner even briefly. The bar's also home to Vanessa, a feisty demoness who just happens to run the place. (I may set up a bio for later, depending on if I think I can manage two characters. We'll see.) As it so happens, Vanessa's also running away from her own past, which is something the two have in common. She just happens to be yet another reason as to why Raymond keeps on stopping off at Devil's Corner...
    • Milk: Liquor and alcohol be damned, Raymond just loves his milk. It makes for strong bones, it's used in countless recipes, and it can even give you a nice milk-stache. What's not to like?
    • Good Cook: Raymond decided long ago after having several unpleasant encounters eating other people's cooking that the best way to eat meals that he actually enjoyed was to make his own food. To that end, he's become quite the amateur chef, and he often opts to share his cooking with people he's taken a liking to.
  • Enemies: Raymond despises those in power who primarily use that power for their own ends, which includes much of Silicon Street, though any corrupt form of power in any ward is fair game.
    • Chandler International: Raymond's been around long enough to start ruffling a few feathers, and this includes Maxwell Chandler, CEO of Chandler International, which specializes mainly in banking and foreign exchange between the wards. Chandler Industries has a supposedly spotless reputation across the wards, but Maxwell's thirst for power extends beyond even his already prosperous company, to the point where he's willing to commit fairly illegal acts in attempts to quench that thirst. And recently, Raymond's been against him every step of the way, often succeeding. It's just about gotten to the point where Maxwell considers Raymond a genuine threat to his establishment, if not a major one — more like a thorn in the side than anything else. A very, very annoying thorn.
    • Mysterious Strangers: Every now and then, Raymond's seen mysterious strangers in black out of the corner of his colored eye. As soon as he turns around to look, they're gone, but he's seen them too many times to merely dismiss them as paranoia or some fantasy. As soon as he's able to determine just what they are, he's going discover just why they keep following him and what they're up to. That is, if they ever stick around for more than a split second.
  • *Powers and Abilities: Raymond is a fairly good shot, but his true power lies in his left eye, usually hidden underneath his eyepatch. When it's on, he still has a small amount of power, which lets him see through walls, and read people's surface thoughts. But when it's off, he can probe directly into someone's mind, including searching their memories, hypnotizing them, or even outright controlling them. However, such efforts need Raymond to make eye contact, and the last one — outright controlling people — requires him to be at point-blank range with the person he's controlling. He can also fire a laser beam out of his eye; aside from just doing damage on contact, it can also melt through solid surfaces, though it takes at least 30 seconds to do so.
  • Assets: Raymond lives in a small apartment in the heart of Starline City, which he also uses as his office. He also managed to gain possession of a magical key in one of his previous cases — ' THE CASE OF THE WHISPERING HORNS ' — which lets him freely travel between the wards. All he has to do is insert the key into a door, turn the key, and the door will open, with Raymond's intended location on the other side. This means that he could travel from Silicone Street all the way to Paradiso if he wanted to, so long as he knew of a doorway somewhere in that ward. While it wasn't too useful at first due to not having been in many of the wards, over time, he was able to garner an adequate connection of doorways.
  • Bio: Raymond Reynolds was originally not Reymond Reynolds. To be perfectly honest, Raymond Reynolds doesn't have a clue as to who he used to be. One day, he woke up but-naked in the middle of an allyway in Silicone Street, and found it hard to remember certain details. In fact, he could barely remember a single thing that directly correlated to himself. He could still remember everything else; information about all of the different wards, about the rules of the world, about everything that didn't involve his personal life; just not much about himself. But there were still a few things he did remember; that he suffered greatly in his past, and wanted to ensure that no-one else suffered; and that the powerful and corrupt had, in some way, wronged him, and that now, he wished to due onto them whatever was done onto him.
    • It wasn't long before he saw some shards of broken glass in front of him, and noticed something rather peculiar. His left eye was now... rather colorful, to put it mildly. It was all the colors of the rainbow, and practically lit up the entire allyway. He closed it straight away, and promptly cleared the area, finding himself a spare scrap of cloth to cover himself. But he would soon discover that this eye gave him power; power that he would use to help the helpless, but also to help himself; to take down the powerful and the corrupt. As for finding out about himself, it wasn't exactly his top priority, or at least not after experiencing some strange dreams. In those dreams, he found himself running from a mammoth serpent the same size as his eye; its mouth was open wide, and it's laugh was cruel and monstrous. It frightened him so much that he didn't want anything to do with it. Who he used to be, how he acquired his strange eye, those horrible dreams; none of that mattered. He wished to live in the present, and not dwell on the past; a past that, as far as he was concerned, was no longer truly his anyway. To him, whoever he used to be was long-gone; from now on, he was Private Detective, Raymond Reynolds, helping the helpless and taking on the powerful. (Within reason, of course; you can't take down an entire Government by yourself, can you?)

  • Name: Hilario Cordeiro, AKA "El Santo"
  • Gender: Male
  • Species: Alien Robot
  • Appearance: Standing roughly 5'8" and somewhat fat, Hilario is neither the most athletic nor attractive man in the world. He typically wears suits that make some effort at hiding his somewhat-terriftying girth.
  • Personality: Cordeiro has a burning hatred for "la burguesía", the people he has deemed to be too selfish, exploitative, or simply rich, to be allowed to live. This is a significant factor to his personality, as he focuses all of his energy on bringing Starline City into a new age, at the hands of the Common Man. He can be somewhat personable when necessary, but his heart and mind constantly burn with the desire to spread wealth and happiness.
  • Ward: Tropica
  • Goals: Equality and harmony in Starline City. And the destruction of la burguesía.
  • Bonds: Justice, equality, La Restaurante de Tropica, bananas, roller skates, and the Montreal Canadiens.
  • Enemies: La burguesía.
  • Powers and Abilities: Inspire others to overthrow la burguesía. His voice is silky smooth and his words always seem to strike a chord with his listeners.
  • Assets: Hilario owns very little, only the bare necessities. He lives in a low-quality apartment on the poor side of Tropica, constantly printing posters and screaming slogans out his window.
  • Bio: Hilario Cordeiro was manufactured in his grandmother's home, a modest three-room house located in a rural village. ] His creators, Enrique Cordeiro and Elia Floria Cordeiro, were alien schoolteachers had spent their entire lives in the village, and had been working hard on making a robot to 'fix' the current situation in Tropica.

The family lived in poverty, leading them to send Hilario to the city, which Hilario later described as being "a pure hell. Inequality, injustice, and intolerance." Hilario's early life was poor, but very happy, though he still witnessed the injustices of this world.

Cordeiro's hobbies included campaigning, speaking, and postermaking. He was particularly interested in the Later, the rest of his 'family' moved to the city.

Soon after, his 'family' died, and he was left alone in the world, bound to follow the values and goals his creators had instilled in him.

I'm really not clear on what's wrong with my character; his fellow villains in this are a Misanthropic Conductor motivated by a burning hatred of pop music and a dude who likes to break things for the sake of breaking things.

If you could explain any specific points wrong with the character or something I could scale back, please do, but as it is I'm worried he's a bit underpowered (Basically Hockey Batman as a villain) with a relatively believeable personality (He's unpleasant, selfish and generally sort of a jerk jock played for laughs but he has a few redeeming qualities and he's willing to accept worthy opponents and generally have friends if they can prove themselves, though he'll keep snarking).

Bio: He was a petty criminal long before he became a Star. Living in the trashiest parts of the Wards, he wandered for longer than he can remember before he was taken in by a family that didn't know him. At the time he didn't realize they were a coven of lesser demons. He found out but it didn't matter to hm he finally had a family. Slowly, he lost most of what made him human and he became more like them. Monochrome and his family wandered from ward to ward. He would steal and do whatever necessary for him and his family to survive and in retun they taught him all they knew about runecasting and ritual magic. One dark day, he awoke to the sounds of fighting and saw his family being assaulted by Samson Cresting. He escaped using the stealth suit and later found out that Samson had banished most of his family to some outer demension, never to be seen or heard from again. Monochrome swore an oath of vengance that day against Samson and Starline.

  • Name: Ivy 'Lilliana' Geneva/Angel Princess Liliana
  • Gender: Female
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance: In her normal form, Liliana is a five foot six mousy girl with brown hair that partially dangles over her green eyes. She doesn't have much of a chest to speak of, and in general she's the kind of girl you could ignore. Except for the white & gold accented glove fused to her right hand, which allows her to become Angel Princess Liliana, a five foot eight long blonde haired girl with wing-shaped blue irises. In addition to this physical transformation, she can generate and change an angelic outfit at will, which she uses to create outfits for her singer career. White, blue and gold are however the only colors she can use for her outfits.
  • Personality: Liliana is, quite simply, a nice girl who likes seeing the best in people and is slow to anger. She might be disgusted by actions or dislike something, but usually it never reaches full blown hate. Besides that, she does have trouble interacting with the individual and does better talking to people if she doesn't think of them as individuals. However, when in battle or generally transformed Liliana is more prone to anger, likely due to the voice's influence.
  • Ward: Was born in Pleasantville, and now dwells in Nova.
  • Goals: Liliana doesn't have many goals of her own, simply wanting to be a singer due to her love of music. The angelic glove she's bonded with however forces her to act against evil, and as a byproduct of her forced crusade she willingly wants to help people in general.
  • Bonds:

    • Arcana Apocalypse, a relatively new [ARMMORPG] she sponsored that has the basic plot of being set after a magic destroying event, with the players' goal being to restore it somehow. She mostly enjoys it for the graphics and soundtrack however.

    • Music, as she's been a fan of musical tapestry ever since she was a child. She's especially fond of peaceful and impressive pieces, though less so of child/joke/yelly songs. Playing music will easily help calm her, and music is one of the things she'll be vicious & motivated about if anyone disrespects or abuses it.
  • Enemies: She has no hate for the most part, really only targeting evil to maintain good health. However she is wary around angels and angelic entities, due to having the glove forced onto her by a group of half angels.
  • Powers and Abilities:

    • Angelic Attributes: When transformed, Liliana possesses the ability to fly, in addition to all around enhanced physical attributes. She's also immune to toxins, however evil has a sickening effect on her regardless. Blasts of evil magic is the direct means of making her sick, whereas staying around evil without fighting the source will gradually weaken her as if a punishment.

    • Angelic Magic: When transformed Liliana can use light, electricity, ice and sound magics. While not very potent by themselves, Liliana can summon an angelic staff to focus them through. In particular, she favors the Sound/Staff combo so she can launch cacophony blasts and use it as a microphone for her singing. She's skilled with the light aspect enough to make wings of light and project a barrier, with her lighting & ice magics coming down to simple blasts.

    • Deep Concealment: The glove is worked with powerful magic to conceal certain aspects, such as it being the source of Liliana's power and of the voice that communes with her. Beyond that, any other secrets it might hold are unknown.
  • Assets: Liliana lives in a simple enough Nova complex, with television and a computer within. Her fondest possession however is her massive collection of records, tapes and [CDs] along with the proper devices for playing them.
  • Bio: Ivy, for the most part, was a normal girl with a normal life in Pleasantville. The only really unusual part about her was the shyness she had, leaving her with no real friends or much of a social life. Her parents were of course concerned by her shyness, but they themselves weren't very remarkable people. When it came down to it, Ivy was the kind of person who could go missing and nobody would really care all that much. Which is why the Nephilim chose her to use as their puppet for their father's crusade against evil.

It began simple enough, with the youngest male becoming the paper boy for that route and slowly establishing a connection through simple looks, waves and hellos. His awkward proposal for a date winning her over, if only so she could judge his intentions. The interruption of the date by a blue-eyed blonde haired boy however led things to rapidly escalate, with the Nephilim trying to attack him and only stopping when she yelled at the Nephilim about why she wouldn't date him again. The Nephilim left angrily, and the newcomer offered to escort her home.

The next day, Ivy found her home being broken into by the Nephilim and quickly got taken back to their home. Tied to a chair so she couldn't escape, the Nephilim began a binding ritual and in the process slipped on her right hand a white & gold accented glove. Eventually, before the ritual ended, Ivy heard the Nephilim shouting about a "demon with crystallized evil" attacking them. To her surprise, the boy from yesterday suddenly appeared in the room, firing a red & black blast from his gauntlet at one of the Nephilim. However the ritual had completed, intense light shining around Ivy as her body burned with pain. With her transformation complete, the boy looked on horrified while the last Nephilim smiled.

Until he got hit in the chest by a powerful blast of light, knocking the Nephilim into the door in front of her. Dropping a dull red and black crystal from his gauntleted hand, the boy called out if she was okay. Liliana looked over herself, shocked by the physical transformation, and yet felt okay with it. Snapping herself free from her bindings, the boy brought her to the nearest HUNTERS guild for her to be examined.

The analysis of the magic on her made it clear that the glove was permanently fused to her hand, but as far as the magical doctor could tell she was perfectly fine & could trigger the transformation at will. The boy, having introduced himself as Samson Cresting, was excited by this and offered to train her. Liliana accepted, deciding it would be good knowing how to use her new powers. However, as she trained with Samson, Liliana started getting inexplicably sick. Samson figuring out why, he left her and as soon as he was gone Liliana started feeling much better physically. Emotionally, however, she was very sad at losing her first friend. That's when the voice spoke to her, a mimicry of hers that convinced her to pursue a musical career.

Thus, for two years the now eighteen year old Liliana has been a freelance singer while moonlighting as an evil-fighting superheroine. The voice constantly keeps her company, while Liliana herself devotes most of her earnings towards helping the common folk.

"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."

Second character:

  • Name: Zack Kaiwii/The Kahuna
  • Gender: Male
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance: Handsome, muscular Polynesian male in his late twenties. In his civilian role he mostly wears casual beachwear. As the Kahuna he wears a grass cloak, tiki mask and wrap around skirt.
  • Personality. As Zack, cheerful and outgoing. As the Kahuna, fiery, charismatic and intense.
  • Goals: To protect Tropica, especially the remaining natural parts. To a lesser extent this extends to all of nature and he has been occasionally seen in the Embrace and Atlantica.
  • Bonds:
    • Terri Kanawha, his maternal grandfather and teacher.
    • The land of Tropica
    • Surfing
    • The Tropica working class which he sees as exploited.
  • Enemies:
    • Developers and polluters of all stripes.
    • The tourism industry because he sees it as the root of the development industry. Not tourists, not industries exploiting and polluting. Oddly he's rarely violent towards the tourists themselves unless they are being actively destructive or obnoxious. He does have a tendency to preach at them though.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Tattoos: He has four tattoos, one on each limb, a Polynesian style representation of one of the four natural elements. Note: These only become visible when their power is being used.
      • Earth: Right thigh. Enables him to telekinetically control plants and accelerate their growth
      • Air: Left upper arm. Can summon and control winds, from a mild breeze to gale force
      • Fire: Right upper arm. Can shoot streams or balls of lava out of his mouth. In his more irreverent moments he's been known to shoot it out of...other orifices.
      • Water: Left Thigh. Can telekinetically shape and control water. This includes being able to make bubbles of air for underwater travel.
      • Change: This one is over his heart and unlike the others is visible normally, becoming invisible when he's in his Kahuna persona. It enables him to change from Zack to Kahuna instantly, also summoning his mask, costume and air board from hammerspace and putting whatever he was wearing into hammerspace.
    • Surfing: He is good enough that he could compete professionally if he so wished. Which he doesn't. He does however give instruction out of the Kaiwii Surf Shop
    • Escrima: Has become very skilled in this martial art

Note: His power level varys with his location. They are at their peak in Tropica and nearly as high in the Embrace of Gaia and Subnautica. If he ever went to Silicon Street, Pleasantville or Nova they would be virtually non-existent. Other wards fall somewhere in between.

  • Assets:
    • Tiki Mask: Serves two purposes. concealing his identity and it enables him to contact the nature spirits of Tropica which he uses as his eyes and ears.
    • Airboard: This is a traditional wooden 18' surfboard engraved with magic symbols which can fly. Top speed 20 mph.
    • Kawaii Surf Shop: Owned by his grandfather he now runs it for him. It is the first floor of a small house in which they live.
    • Combat staves: A pair of short (2.5 feet)hardwood rods which he uses in combat.
  • Bio: Zack's parents were and are servants in one of the more prestigious hotels serving the tourist trade. Growing up he was never attracted to their lifestyle, seeing them as "Pleasantville wannabes". With time he has come to see them as victims of the system

His grandfather was another story. He loved hanging out at the old man's surf shop and listening to his stories of "the old ways". Gradually story telling turned to teaching after the old man revealed that he was one of the few remaining Tropican shamans.

Terri wished merely to pass on the knowledge of the old ways and magics but as he grew older and looked at the exploitation of the natives and land Zack knew something had to be done and the Kahuna was born.

Note: The Kahuna is a divisive figure in Tropica. Some, especially the industries to whom he is a constant gadfly see him as an eco terrorist, others as a Robin Hood.

I will fly someday!
#72: Mar 11th 2015 at 2:10:06 PM

Well then, it seems that I have yet again been dragged from my comfortable dark borrow to join up in something really interesting. Here we go I guess.

  • Name: Captain William Armstrong

  • Gender: Male

  • Species: Extraordinary Human

  • Appearance: Reference Picture The manly body of William is a great sight to behold, being a 2.5 meter tall man with a powerful, muscular build. Usually with a great smile on his face, he's bald with bright, warm blue eyes and a great, big mustache. While he works in Nova, he's dressed in a simple shirt with a jacket on top. But when he must come to the aid of others or it's time to travel the world, no puny shirt can withhold the power that is his chest.

  • Personality: William is a large man with an even larger heart. He's a man who enjoys life and helping others, always ready to lend a hand or give the best advice he can. With a constant smile on his face, a positive outlook on life and the strength to do what he wants to do, he'll be the best man you'll ever come to know.

  • Ward: He works mainly on Nova and has an apartment there, though he has a house that lies in Embrace of Gaia that's one of his more favorite locations to stay during his travels and vacations.

  • Goals: To protect the innocent and those not weak enough to defend themselves, and to seek out and live life to the fullest, while inspiring others to do so as well.

  • Bonds:
    • Stalwart Defender: William uses his strength to defend the innocent, the weak and the adorable, swearing to never let them get hurt as long as he can stop it and always do the best he can to uphold that.
    • Live Life: He lives life to the fullest extent, he'll never be docile and let life pass him by. He travels the world, meets new people, learns all he can, wrestle with great beasts, passes on his ideals to those who listen and does the best he can each day.
    • Tiny Things & Cute Animals: William loves things that are small and adorable, from a cute little child that he'll let ride on his shoulder to the adorable nature of a small turtle, William loves all the small and innocent things of the world.

  • Enemies:
    • Evil-doers: William hates those that would commit evil and hurt those innocent.
    • Oppressors: Anyone is entitled to their freedom, and William won't stand for those who would try to take it from them.
    • Bureaucracy: The strange, complicated workings of the thing that is bureaucracy, is a confusing labyrinth of endless time and paper. Things would just be so much simpler if we'd just talk it through and not have to bother with all of that.

  • Powers and Abilities: William has no magic spells and he wields no fancy weapons. His gift and that which he has spent his life perfecting, is the strength of his own body.

    • The Manliest Man of Manly Men: William is a manly man of a man and his power is that of Men. Standing at his 2.5 meters, his body perfectly sculpted with thick, strong bones, great frame and muscles and a thick skin, he's the ultimate specimen of mankind.
    • The Power of a Titan: William is a man of strength and has spent years training his body. He can easily lift an adult human in his hand, lift up a buss and throw it, leap gigantic lengths to scale buildings several stories high or if necessary, even hold up an entire collapsing building if he needs to.
    • Adamantium Skin: While it isn't actually made of adamantium, you could be fooled that it could be. Strong and thick with a superhuman ability to regenerate and heal damage, he can easily take blows that would normally kill a normal man and never fears to put himself in the path of danger to protect others. In fact, that's exactly what he does.
    • The Aegis of Stalwart Defense: Williams only tool he carries with him into battle is the Aegis of Stalwart Defense, a great artifact of the combined effort of both technological and magical craftsmanship, creating a huge, towering wall of a tower shield that dwarfs any normal man in its weight and size. Made of one the strongest metals in existence and with self-repairing nanotechnology, enchanted and engraved with magical enchantments of both defense, durability and warding, the Aegis of Stalwart Defense gives the user the ultimate defense. Blocking and withstanding the force and damage of anything that comes its way, stopping the sharpest of blades and able to completely withstand the most powerful of magic

  • Assets:
    • A large, high quality flat in the finer parts of Nova.
    • A great cabin house that he built and decorated himself in Embrace of Gaia.
    • A tiny talking, magical kitten named Holly, she follows him everywhere, usually riding in his pocket, on his shoulder or on top of his head.

  • Bio:
William was an extraordinary child growing up, even then being large while also kind. He pushed himself, helped those he could and had a insatiable urge to explore and as the years went by and he grew older, the gift he had became clearer and clearer. A giant among those around him and a powerful body, he was the greatest of friends and the greatest of athletes. When he came of age, he left his birthplace of Pleasantville and set out to explore all that he could. He traveled all around, seeing many things and learning just as much, all the while he fought against the elements and nature itself in a effort to improve himself. He returned an even greater man then when he had left, and he had decided that he would join the police force to defend the innocent citizens of Starline City. Moving there and successful in joining, he quickly proved a invaluable asset to the force. His strength and resilience meant he would always jump in front to defend anyone without fearing for himself, and his joyful and friendly demeanor gave him a great ability to talk and calm down civilians and criminals alike. It wasn't too long, now Captain, that Armstrong was asked to join ERIU, the Extreme Risk Intervention Unit of Nova PD. He accepted, knowing his skills and abilities would be valuable to them and it would send him into situations where he might be the only one with the strength to protect the victims.

Always accepting.

Hilario Cordeiro: Uhh nearly approved, though problem is that even though there are poor people in Starline, a draw of the place and what the Great Hero caused is that the place is a literal land of plenty.

Monochrome: Not exactly accepted... again backgrounds relying on murder of an innocent family unit by a Star? It clashes a bit with the tone.

Ivy 'Lilliana' Geneva: Approved.

Zack Kaiwii: Approved, though lava only from mouth please.

Captain William Armstrong: Approved.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.
