To be fair, that is what Alector was made for. And despite how ferocious he is, he isn't all that bright.

Also, any Kamen Rider or Super Sentai ranger worth their salt can beat him down or break even... Some of the time.

Even so. He is so strong he doesn't need to be smart.

He has 60mm of steel plating, which means you'd need an anti-mech weapon to hurt him, nevermind that unless it's a laser he could just dodge it and deliver a kick that would slice you in half unless you're Superman or Goku (because if it can slice through steel you aren't going to fare much better). You can't hide from him, either, because he has every sensor in the book.

I'm not trying to come off as hostile. If I am, I apologize. But I genuinely believe anyone submitted that isn't from Dragonball or Exalted would actually be able to win in a fight against him, and it is just not fun to face off against a character who can No-Sell every attack you have before killing you in a single blow.

And again, I'm not the GM, so whatever ends up happening I'm fine with and I'll stick with the RP.

Well, I'm still thinking about how a Cosmic Hero would have gotten to here.

It would be easy to cut out some of the odds and ends by having my character being isolated here. That is, randomly fell through some portal while on a mission assaulting the Demon Force and is here without being able to contact her Union and request support or go back.

But I could also have my character hired out to someone here which means she would have contact back to the Unions and probably can periodically port back to spend the money earned and buy more weapons to use. If Earth is introduced as a member world of the Union, Earth would be willing to help in times of crisis and especially to assist in any invasion by the Demon Force. Though the union itself would not go with the day to day stuff and let Earth handle its own problems, allowing them to post missions up to the Union for small stuff where Cosmic Heroes can take the missions for payment. The problem with this comes from if Earth could choose to trust a faction from another universe that is primarily made of Robots and a handful of Magical people (and some Magical Robot Girls :P)

The Artium might be able to strike a bargain with the Demon Force to gain assistance though that would come at a price they might not like either.

The 60mm steel plating was to ensure that he won't get hurt with small-arms fire and light AA weaponry. Though I will admit that the whole 60mm is too much now that I think about it, Maybe perhaps equal to 25mm?

Also, a necessary drawback for him is that his plasma weapons are extremely energy inefficient; meaning that he only uses them for finishing moves and the like.

The character I'm looking to take might be too much if that would be a problem. Modern small arms fire probably wouldn't do much to a Cosmic Break character and AA artillery would be somewhat effective.

But then Toybox Girl packs two compact missile launchers for mid range fires cruise missiles. The power of these weapons could be comparatively wherever you want, but they are pretty strong for Cosmic Break weapons.

She 'is' a Mech.

[up][up][up]And the exaggeration is a bit much, I doubt he would take DBZ characters to take down.

He would hardly be the weirdest thing they ever made, having developed technological telekinesis (zero-point energy, gravitons, manipulation of electrical attraction, so many choices) and telepathy as mere examples. Then there the fact humanity would probably try deliberately hunting realities that give superpowers out like candy, and they would try reverse-engineering some of the stuff UFs display.

In all, I would say he would count as an Artium ARM so he would be rather limited in his actions. Besides that, you guys really shouldn't worry too much about balance for yourselves as I figure most of you will fight for humanity. At first, heh heh heh

Hmm... I do have one suggestion regarding any robotic characters: That they only recently arrived in this reality. Besides that, even for standard Artium units, they could probably manage surviving/avoiding missiles. I would say this world's Humanity wouldn't agree to joining, at least until the Artium War is over. Though I do see them having representatives or other things established to get a steady line of Universal Foreigners coming over.

Well, I never did differentiate her model enough from the original. I could change missiles out to Railguns if you think missiles would be useless.

Not useless, just it wouldn't be an overwhelming edge. Whatever you do for the application will most likely be acceptable, so I would love to see what you do. Besides that, to everyone, should I wait for more applications first before making the Discussion?

Oh, well that's not so bad then :P. Except I already changed it on my thing so I'll go with Railguns. It helps justify her as a separate model from the original. I don't intend to have an overwhelming edge, unless that's what you want me to have :P.

  • Name: Toybox Girl Beta (An OC model TBG)
  • Race: Zias Geo-cell robot (made out of nanobots)
  • Appearance: A young Cosmic Hero of 2 years based on the original model. She appears to be a black haired and green eyed young high school student wearing black bike shorts and a dark red skirt attached to a belt that has small rectangular metal boxes attached. and a red armless shirt which shows her midriff. Her forearms have a mechanical part over them looking like sleeves while she wears tall fancy black socks that go into some large mechanical boots. Unlike the original, her color design is entirely red and black on these mechanical parts. Her backpack is a sleeker and somewhat more compact design, though still giant on her small body and has two obviously weapon ports on the top.
  • Abilities/Skills/Powers:
    • Wonder Bits: Like all Cosmic Heroes, Combat generates an excess of power in her soul. This Cosmic Power is the main point of the unions as it is normally harvested from returning heroes to be funneled into the revival of the Arks of Strength, Wisdom, and Bravery. Cosmic Heroes can naturally summon a Wonder Bit using the excess energy they have during combat.
      • Slayer Bit: Toybox Girl has custom equipped a Slayer Bit design into herself allowing her to summon a remote controlled flying Katana held by a mechanical hand. This is especially useful in defense in melee combat, her weakest area of combat.
    • Broad Radar: Toybox Girl has an upgraded Radar allowing her to pierce stealth technologies and magics to detect enemies within several kilometers though this Radar doesn't allow her to directly target those she can't get a visual on.
    • Sniper Sight: A particular boon to Artillery Bots like TBG-B, the Sniper Sight upgrade to her Targeting system is designed to allow for targeting the enemy without detection.
  • Inventory:
    • Toybox Beta: Toybox Girl Beta wears her giant backpack almost all the time. It has much of what she uses for combat. Like all Cosmic Union weaponry, Toybox Girl's synthesizes the ammo they use on the spot and she holds large amounts of ammo at a time. The backpack is connected to a hard point on her back through which she communicates to it and ensures that it cannot be easily taken. Should the connection be severed, by disconnect or by force, the backpack automatically warps out, and can be warped back in at her leisure though it takes a valuable moments to bring it back. Without the connection the backpack can also be fired by manual override by small buttons if you know the 10 digit password, though without the connection it also takes manual aiming.
      • Arms: Starting up with the part that can swap out, the backpack has two arm slots which can be swapped out for a variety of other arm parts, though she would need a garage to do that for her.
        • Toybox Girl Beta AM x2: Both of her arms are currently lightweight Railguns. The launch small projectiles that have small explosions when they strike something and are designed for prolonged close and mid-range combat having extra large ammo capacity.
      • Cruise Missile: Her backpack is mainly two large Railguns. Two weapons ports open up to reveal the gun and they take a few moments to charge before firing large powerful projectiles that make large explosions when they hit. These are designed for very long range combat, dangerous to use at close range. The power of the guns pushes her body back when fired, which is partially stopped by the boosters on her backpack.
      • Toybox Girl Beta BS: A typically strong Booster, this booster provides her fast and precise movement through the air with Secondary boosters at several points to adjust her path.
    • Ark Key: The Cosmic Union established a warp path to Earth to allow for assistance to come should the need come. As is normal, this linkup allows for communication to the Cosmic Ark and with this Ark Key allows for instant teleportation back and forth. As the Key is tuned to Toybox Girl's particular Cosmic Energy waveform, it has to be hacked before anyone else could use it.
      • As Earth is not a world that has not agreed to be under the Cosmic Ark (An Agreement which would mean Earth would also need to provide resources in return) it is not officially given protection of the Cosmic Union and as such requests made for assistance are turned to missions for heroes that volunteer their efforts for the reward.
  • Bio: Created by the inventor C.S.-tan, Toybox Girl Beta was quickly given the choice and allowed to join the Cosmic Ark and became a part of the WIS Union. With the ongoing Uninon wars against the BRD and DOS Unions, new bots are in constant demand. Toybox Girl Beta was created to fit within the three bot command that consisted of a modified Aqulia and the original Tristar. While this commando is aligned with the WIZ Union it often seeks out and does other jobs to earn more UC for upgrades, as most do. They trained hard and fought many practice battles in her first week of life to prepare her. Then they served in the Union Wars, the team winning key battles on two different planets. However things took a turn for the worse as they were ambushed by the Chaos Union while on the giant planet Arcantus. Tristar fought hard in front with Aqulia in the air blasting enemy after enemy. Toybox Girl was far back and away from the action as usual, shooting cruise missile after cruise missile into the fray. When things seemed almost over, several Chaos Hipporoids teleported in. They immediately swung their deadly swords and destroyed Tristar. Toybox Girl held still and aimed, firing her full barrage of missiles supporting Aqulia's Stardust Cannon, taking out one of them but the other two were going straight for her. Aquila came down from the sky and landed in front of her. "Stand Back!" He braced and aimed all of his onboard weapons and began an Alpha Strike. An impressive sight, few things manage to survive the full assault of an Aqulia's Alpha Strike with all of his weapons firing nonstop. It ripped through the first and damaged the second but it dashed forward into the barrage, cutting him in half. Enraged, Toybox Girl cried out and attacked again, finishing off the last. But she was now alone in her commando. In the following weeks she grieved for her lost comrades who were the only people she really knew in this world. Then she threw herself back into battles in the united battles of the unions against the Chaos. She made a name for herself in her lone commando in the countless battles.

  • Toybox Girl Beta worked through her grief for her comrades though and after orders from higher up, knowing her predicament, she was forced to work with others and become a member of the team again. Though she overcame some of her issues and warmed up again, Toybox Girl Beta still preferred to take on missions solo and take dangerous solo tasks when in groups.

  • Now, her commanders seeing that she needed something to change her scenery and pace, she is on extended solo assignment to assist in the defense of some far off planet from the Union called Earth run primarily by organic humans. Though not yet a victim of the relentless Demon Force, Earth was actively seeking assistance from other worlds against a local robot faction. Her post here is also as a scout unit to detect advance signs of Demon Force incursion.

@questor: While the extreme power of his plasma weapons would make their status as finishing moves irrelevant to any character below Super Weight 3, I suppose that's fair in the grand scheme of things.

I'm not the GM so I can't force you do to anything you don't want to, and I'm going to stick around either way. But as it turns out, after a quick google search, an Abrams main battle tank has over 1000 mm of composite steel armor, so in retrospect, I guess I'm more fine with the armor, then.

[up] Solution. It doesn't. End of story.

Its an RP, Power is what it needs to be. And as this is an OC, there isn't any canon to draw from to even say things like how much composite material it could barrel through.

My laptop doesn't work right now, so I'm stuck using my Play Station. Interneting is hard this way, so I won't start the RP for a while. Besides that, character is accepted and this is gonna be fun to watch unfold. Besides that does anyone have plans on how they'll interact?

[up] Nah.

My plan is basically just "wing it while keeping in mind the personalities and motivations of the characters I am playing as". I find that interaction is more natural that way.

Well, when thinking of day to day activities I was thinking that TBG-B might need a cover ID in the city. I would suppose that the most fitting Cover would be a high school student fitting her appearance.

For that she could use someone else's character for the role of parent, and at the same time probably in charge of making sure she stays in line given that she is a guest here.

Of course NP Cs could fill these rolls too.

Given that three of the other four characters would fail miserably at being a cover, you might need to create a second character. I wouldn't be able to manage an NPC like that. I suppose self-defense and survival training would be a semi-common school routine as well. Basic pen and paper with some projectors, but no computers as another thing. Oh, and swimming is more common, freaking love swimming.

Of which from Cosmic Break all bots manage to float. :p. She is probably less dense than humans making her lighter. But still has great physical strength compared to a human

Keeping her cover is going to mean keeping her natural abilities a secret.

Do you want a big sheet and all? The npcs playing parents could be handled like any other, minor plot devices. Probably won't be mentioned outside of my own posts unless they were to put on Red Shirt s

Thanks, and either one would be fine. Though another native to their reality would be nice, but I would also like for them to be outnumbered as well. Introducing a character that is a writer would be a very nice addition however.
