Moved to Yack Fest.
i stubbed my toe once
everyone died
And then there was silenceThat I can remember?
Probably when I found out I had to go back to High School to do Math again in order to "really graduate".
Literally had to wake up and tell myself "Dude you're done with Math, chillax"
Luminous beings are we, not this crude matterWhatever it was, it probably involved velociraptors, as portrayed in Jurassic Park.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Mine involved zombies, an airplane, and a freaky numb feeling.
I was also... eight? So yeah. It says a lot that I still remember it to this day.
I had to go back to kindergarten.
And this wasn't when I was like, 8 or something. This was about a year ago.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI had a dream about my dad being shot – when I was just 7 or so years old. A runner-up for worst dream I've ever had, however, was when all of my relatives were turning into statues. (That one was the result of watching too much Barbie movies.)
There're some other really freaky nightmares I still remember, and they all came from my childhood.
Being eaten alive by a big spider.
Everyone became clowns via creepy assimilation.
There was one where I got stung by some mosquito-like bug then my flesh started painlessly sloughing off.
...ehehI can't remember any particularly terrible ones, but I did have a recent one scare me pretty good. I was at my aunt's house and her basement caught fire. Flames started coming up through the floor and burned up her dining room table, which her mentally impaired stepson nailed with a fire extinguisher. I was outside, making sure that my laptop wouldn't suffer smoke damage. We were all sure that the fire was out, but it started up again and her basement was a total loss.
Grossest dream that stuck with me the longest: I was in my elementary school and was eating an omelette that I suddenly realized had poop in it. I swore off anything egg based for YEARS.
Ooooh...right.
There's the one I get quite a lot where I'm running around the village where I live trying to gather my family together to send them somewhere safe. It's night and the horizon is lit by the fires burning out of control in the city. There are the sounds of battle In the distance; explosions, small arms fire and bursts of heavy weapons fire. Sometimes the dream ends there, but more often I put my family on a bus or van and send them North with other civilians.
I'm always in uniform, though it isn't my old uniform, and seem to be in command of a small unit left behind to delay the enemy at the bridge. We build a barricade and dig in. There's no time for a rousing speech and no need; we know why we're there and how this will end.
We wait. Sometimes we hear the rumble of approaching armour (incidentally, the moxt terrifying sound in the world. That bit in Saving Private Ryan doesn't do it justice), sometimes the sky seems to become even blacker as the enemy draw near.
I always wake up before we are contacted, so I don't even know who the enemy are, though certain things suggest a supernatural element is in play, but in the dream I know that nobody has been able to stop them for long and that, if I can't pull something spectacular out of the hat, my soldiers and I are all going to die.
I also know that if the enemy can't be stopped, sooner or later there will be nowhere for the civilians to run to and they will die, too, my family among them.

'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'I dreamed that my mom died and my stepdad kept pretending like she was still alive and refused to have a funeral because according to him she was still alive.
I had a REALLY bad dream last night that I went to the doctor (not my real doctor just a made up dream character) for some problem with my intestines and he said it was because I had cancer in my intestines and didn't have long to live. I was really freaking out and thinking "I'm too young to die" (I'm 30)... and then I woke up, phew
I dreamt when I was 5 that I was on a train with my dad and we were both crying because mom wasn't there. I woke up crying.
More recently I dreamt that a Doberman ran up to me in my room and bit my balls. And I felt it. I'm not sure which is worse.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."I wake up quite often thinking "Thank God that was a dream," but I never remember what I was dreaming.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseFairly recently, a relatively normal dream I had suddenly ended with my mom and another woman getting shot up by gangsters. I was extremely upset and had a hard time going back to sleep for a while.
I can still remember my first real nightmare that I had at the age of five or something. I was at some sort of construction area with my dad and some other folks when a guy got stuck in a giant microwave oven. I was asked to help get him out, but as I ran over everything caught on fire for a brief moment and everyone was gone. Then I saw an extremely creepy winged toaster flying toward me and say something extremely scary to me. I woke up crying.
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"I remember having a dream a month or so ago that my sister died. I can't remember specifics though but I was literally panicking.
I think the worst dream, the most terrifying and painful, was when I was in second grade. And I've had a lot of dreams where I've actually died, but this one..this one..
I dreamed that all my classmates in second grade had come to my house, including the bullies, and two of them had murdered my hamsters. They stabbed Issac, and drowned Eevee in a puddle. It was terrible. I stopped sleeping well unless I was on the kitchen floor near the hamster cages.
Got a degree in Emotional trauma via fictional characters aka creative writing. hosting S'mores party in Hell for fellow (evil) writersI remember right after a friend of mine died, I had a dream that her coffin was in my bedroom and her reanimated corpse tried to pull me in with her.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!My eyes were completely shut and I was unable to open them, and nobody cared the entire time. They finally opened when I was in this car were the wheel was on the right door, and I woke up when the car crashed into another car.

If you are not very careful, your possessions will posses youI had a recurring dream for decades about getting killed by one of these:

Mine's was more of a darker blue, but everything else was the same. It always hit me on the left hand side and that was all she wrote.
My worst dreams involve my dad dying. Maybe it's because of his health issues and me just being paranoid.
"Thanks for the lesson. But I don't need you to tell me who I am."
I had a REALLY bad one a few years back where my mom had some weird parasite infection that was 100% fatal and only had two weeks to live. It was SO vivid that when I woke up I went to check if my mom was ok!
