New theme music also a boxYour third suggestion is decent. The second is busy to the point where you can't actually see anything, and the first is just bad. I personally like 2.3 better than 1.1, mostly because of concerns about how 1.1 will look at wiki size.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.something basic and representative of video games◊

I was thinking this montage◊, although you'd need to focus on a specific section of it (because doing the whole image would be hilariously busy - same problem as 2.2). Probably the lower-left or right?
Moon◊I like 2.3. Not too crowded, and a decent variety of characters.
Check out my fanfiction!2.3 is good.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenGonna have to reserve judgment myself on any of these images on grounds of a poor internet connection.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman2.3 is the best suggestion so far
+1 for 2.3.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.
It's good for the page, but I'm a little bothered by the placement of Link's foot.
Not right away, not right awayI also like 2.3
I like Shadow Hog's suggestion, nice variety of classic video game characters and its colorful.
It probably won't be legible in wiki size though, considering how crowded it is.
And I think we should have enough votes for 2.3? (We have: Completely Normal Guy, Another Duck, tdgoodrich1, Septimus Heap, me, Willbyr, Rethkir, bitemytail and maybe doubleyouteeeff - 9 people).
I didn't actually vote for 2.3 - my internet is too slow to load offsite images in reasonable time and thus I can't look at it.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSame as 11, which is on site.
Check out my fanfiction!OK, then. Vote for 11 there.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYep, I'll vote for 11 too.
Not right away, not right awayThat's plenty of votes; up and tagged. I'm fine without a caption but if people have suggestions I'm not opposed.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Well, wouldn't hurt to name the characters at least: Sonic the Hedgehog, Gordon Freeman, Samus Aran, Master Chief, Solid Snake, Mario, Link, Yuna
Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog, Gordon Freeman, Samus Aran, Master Chief, Solid Snake, Mario, Link, Yuna
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Not really, most people know who they are.
New theme music also a boxI can tell exactly two characters there and only thanks to a lot of on-site popcultural osmosis. So I would suggest to source the characters - we have done it elsewhere too, by the way.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDefinitely source the characters; not everyone's familiar with all the characters, as has already proved.
I've put up that sourcing caption, but left the tag as it was (since consensus, while there, is fairly weak).

I just launched Video Games from YKTTW as a hub page for videogames like Anime. A poster in YKTTW suggested to use an image from Super Smash Bros. since that game is a large crossover that uses characters from various games. I did agree (also because Western Animation uses a similar multi-characters page) but most images I can find have busy-ness issues. The best one I could find is here - any other ideas?
