Okay, this is an interest check for a reboot of a Jojos Bizarre Adventure rp I had planned a while back, based particularly on the third series, Stardust Crusaders and series five, Golden Wind. The basis, is that the American Government has managed to bring Kars; the ultimate life form, back to Earth. Of course while now, he's an immortal vegetable, Vampires and others are still desperately trying to reach him, you are going to play a team, with the mission to try to kill him once and for all.

This Rp, you can choose to be either a stand or Ripple User, with of course plenty of impossible posing.

Will the setting be be utterly bleak and dark just for the sake of being as edgy and grotesque as possible?! And will it feature a ridiculously overpowered "boss" that will utterly trash all the player characters during their mere second fight, utterly alienating everyone and killing the story before giving it change to start?!?! Hmmmmmmmmm?!?!?!

...OK, leaving the sardonic remarks aside, I've got the feeling you're trying to bite more than you're able to chew, dude... A Jojo story is some really, really, REALLY difficult to do, because how utterly deranged, intricate and unpredictable Hirohiko Araki's style is... And I'm sorry to say this, but I don't think you have what's needed to create that kind of atmosphere and tension.

Uh, why can't there be a original villain? Kars was never seen again, the narrator said so.

Why can't this be a retake of another part like how Part 7 and 8 are retakes of Part 1 and 4?

Super Robot! SUPER ROBOT! ◥▶◀◤ Also, if some of my posts don't make sense, please take note that I might lack slee

[up] [up]hey V, and yeah, I kind of understand your worries. It won't however, be uberdark. .

[up] Now, who said Kars was going to be the big bad? And, while you're right, Kars never returns to Earth... you're utterly right. This Is a what if situation. As for why isn't it a retake, I just didn't want to do that, and honestly? I think a quest like series three and five would work best for an RP.

Erh... I don't know, d00d... Old habits die hard, and after reading a certain post of yours in another RP thread, I've got the feeling you like being "EXTREME!!-GR1MD4RK!!!11" a little bit too much for my taste..

Besides, I've got the feeling you haven't improved enough in the "Game-Mastering-thingy-majik-stuff" department to try to so something as ambitious as this... HELL! I'm massive fan of Jojo, and even I wouldn't dare to try to GM something like this because it requires a special kind of crazy-awesomeness that very few people have... Even my kung-fu isn't strong enough for this mission, d00d!

Sorry for insisting on "deflating" your hopes so hard... But, I'm saying this because I still have certain stem for you, d00d... So, I want to spare you, and others, (I've had the bad luck of getting involved in way too many "stillborn stories" as of lately... It's quite frustrating to be honest) from the disappointment.

I'd like to see if this works.

[up][up] Yeah, I understand your fears, and worries. Fuck, I'm not exactly sure I'm up for Gming, that's why I'm on the look out for a co-gm.

[up] Let's hope it does.

@Troy: Yeah, getting a co-GM in order to run the most intricate aspects of this... That's actually a good plan... Unfortunately, I don't think there's anyone around here capable of (AND/or interested in) taking on such a difficult mission. (once again, you require a very specific kind of crazy-awesomeness)

In any case, do what you feel is right, d00d... Just be aware of this: My predictions always turn out right, and my prediction is that this story will die before it even starts. I prefer to apply the words of wisdom of a certain cyborg-pirate and say: "Always abandon a lost cause"... Too many disappointments (story writing-wise) as of lately to try to salvage something that has no hope. In other words: Don't count on me for this, d00d.

Edit:

By the way, the part that really bothered me about the post I've linked up there wasn't the character himself, but the opening narration, with little gems like:

"[...]the entire area was lower than the rest of the city, and the streets were flooded with four feet of raw sewage on a good day, on the roofs, connected by shanty bridges combined of scrap metal, wood and cables, there were people, sick, dying, dead, or starving."

That sounds like you're trying to paint a fucking hellhole of a place for the mere sake of being edgy. Yeah, I know the story is supposed to be Cyberpunk... But I call shenanigans on your case, because even for such kind of setting, that image you're painting up there is absolutely FUCKED up, man! Not cool, d00d, not cool...

As I've mentioned in the past, I'm all up for dark themes and hard-hitting stuff... But all that bleakness and tragedy has to have a meaning behind it, as well as a certain "light" to it in order to contrast and accentuate the darkness. (otherwise you end up with Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy setting up fast) Once again, I hate stories that are edgy just for the sake of being edgy... They're utterly trite.
