So they're just going to cram Marie even in places where she wasn't in? I don't know how to feel about it. EP 2 had some good laughs for me but only almost after the second half of it. Bonus for adding Ai into the girl outing and giving Marie more time without Yu.
Can we get the Adachi social link? Please?
We'll most likely Adachi social link after the third Marie episode. It'll probably be the first episodes focus on Marie meeting the group and second Yu bonding with Adachi and the murder case as the background focus. It makes sense especially since Adachi with Dojima are a major face when it comes to the case. This'll likely cover ep 4-7. 8-13 will be closing things with the ski-trip Hollow Forest dungeon then Izanami battle.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenConsidering the first anime aired like a year ago, I don't get all the complaints about the pacing or Continuity Lock-Out. This is a side series in the vein of Full Metal Panic Fumoffu and Rock Lees Spring Time Of Youth.

The first anime started almost three years ago, actually. The pacing also has almost nothing to do with whether there's a prior adaptation but rather how quickly the story proceeds. Also some ancillary stuff like how well it transitions.
Come the Blu-ray release of the anime I'm pretty sure you can watch this in conjunction with the old anime. It's like the missing potholes of much of the anime.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenEpisode 13: Marie is revealed to be the killer!
@Fluid
That bitch! ><
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenEpisode 2. Man, even the opening anime acknowledges that Persona 4 is pretty much fucking everywhere at this point.
Holy shit of a timeskip, and suddenly we already know Kanji. Cool.
Man I missed that simple, straightforward logic of Yosuke's. Bikes = girls.
Yuu tried. But Yuu failed. At least guy's having the time of his life.
That ED was great, both song-wise and visually. For good or for worse, ED and Marie moments were the best of the episode.
"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueThis episode was hilariously over-dramatic. I was seriously expecting Yu to pull some Death Note level scheming with those Scary Shiny Glasses. That final tableau of him arriving home was just the icing on the cake.
Truthfully, I'd thought he'd pull it off by coming back with all the girls on both arms, winning the whole thing hands down.
Guess I was wrong.
One Strip! One Strip!Same here! What with last week's episode I expected his swag levels to be over 9000. Picking up a few girls shouldn't be any trouble; guess he's still just a dork at heart.
Episode was pretty cringeworthy overall IMO, but I loved Marie, which is surprising as I'm usually one to dislike additions to canon, just because...
But she's so cute!

So, Kanji's here already. Not gonna bother with the gang's trials at all. Because the first anime already covered that.
What? Yu's Swagmaster Level isn't God-tier!? Did the world end?
Marie had a fun time hanging out, for sure.
Get off the moped, Adachi!
Casualty: Yosuke's moped. It will be missed.
Well, Yu, if there's one thing you can be proud of, it's this: Now, you don't have to show up before Nanako in only shorts and gag glasses. note
Next time, the beach. And Rise and Kuma are a part of the gang.
Yu you are one sorry player. >_>
Couldn't even get one phone number goddammit!
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenNo phone number is better than being yelled at by Duke Nukem.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!I was looking forward to Yu being called "a shit bird" by an angry married man on the phone.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenMe, personally, I don't like how they're skipping a ton of shit and keeping it as a twelve episode anime... but we already have another anime that deals with the meat of the general story of the game. It actually doesn't concern me nearly as much as it would've.
I mean, let's be honest here. It's the same story. Same characters. Same character arcs. Same twists. Same lines. Same everything. It would feel like a rehash upon rehashes if they adapted everything from start to finish for Golden. On its own, it definitely feels like they're skipping way too much - it's like they're just focusing solely on Marie and (possibly) Adachi for the future, but since we already have another anime for it, I don't mind, like I said.
If it were up to me, I'd probably just stick with one anime - adapting Golden while keeping the majority of the general story intact, just with Marie as the Deuteragonist. You can basically consider Golden as the second season, more or less with the New Game Plus thing.
WAIT A MINUTE! Did Marie ever say "eclectic loutwets" at all? She didn't? Blasphemy! That's her Catchphrase, dammit!

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Oh man, never played P4 before, but Golden Animation is hilarious!
Did Yu just parody the ending to Ashita no Joe at the ending of ep. 2?
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit! He did. It's kind of a stock parody in Japanese works, apparently. I remember Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann doing it as well.
I'm torn on Golden. Even considering it's more or less just a supplement to the original animation, the pacing is still wonky. On the other hand, it's nice to see the additional content without shelling out for a Vita, and given my low standards for humor I find this rather amusing.
Torn about Marie too. She's a superfluous addition to the cast, but Kana Hanazawa is rocking the Ricchan voice.
I was so disappointed. They had half of the beefsteak conversation, but they cut off right before Marie says they should just call it fsteak. Unforgivable.
I'm pretty sure Fsteak was added on localization. I can't imagine the guys at Japan knowing about Hiimdaisy
I am reliably informed by the Persona4 page that it was a complete coincidence, and the Japanese word used was "fusuteki."

The point is they cut out the joke, which perfectly encapsulated Marie's alien perspective in both versions (the original being turning bifuteki into fusuteki). That's the real problem with it. Losing that makes her less.
@Handsome Rob
Hey, it's good promotion material for Marie for her appearance in the upcoming Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.
