Working on a manga. With pictures! All feedback welcome!http://www.aniplex.co.jp/lineup/anime/aldnoahzero/
Aniplex website is up.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-06-14/toru-ohkawa-sho-hayami-join-aldnoah.zero-cast/.75565
More casting calls include Sho Hayami and Toru Okawa. And judging from it, looks like Mars is an aristocracy with a monarch.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Well Aniplex USA has inevitably picked up the show: http://www.aldnoahzerousa.com/
Looks pretty interesting I must say.

"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Gargantia was bad?
I mean, I didn't find it very memorable either, but I never really thought of it as being a stain on Urobuchter's record.
Can't say I like the mech designs.
MMORPGs are serious business.Shame Aniplex USA picked this one up...
While Gargantia was very different from his usual fare, Kamen Rider Gaim and now this are proving that he's back to his usual self. And if the latest trailer is anything to go by, we could very well see him challenging Space Runaway Ideon for the Kill Em All Heavyweight Championship. Overall, I think this is going to be another excellent show from the one and only Urobutcher... I just wished Funimation or Viz picked it up instead.

Together, we are one.Except he's not the lead writer like he is for Gaim.
He basically wrote the setting and premise but is letting others handle the actual execution (much like Gargantia).
First episode was pretty interesting, lots of set up of course.
I do like that we seem to have protags on both sides of the conflict, I always find that nice (though with Slaine being from earth who knows).
Not a huge fan of the earth mechs shown so far, but the giant drill ships and brief glimpses of the knights' mechs were cool.
So the princess may or may not be dead, if so it would be what keeps Slaine on Mar's team, at least until he finds the truth.
Stunt double. C'mon, like they would really do it. They shall bring her back and kill her off properly.
That ending. Let's see how many of the MC's friends will be killed off next episode.
I'm afraid it's a new Valverave... Anyway standart anime rules dictate that unless we get a good look at a character's face she isn't dead, did someone else found the episode ending hilarious? not a good place to put a song.
the only connection with Valvrave I see is that they both use common tropes of Sunrise mecha works
Pretty interesting beginning. All things considered it was directed well. Could recognise Hiroyuki's style of music a mile off, so it's not really making its individual mark yet.
And come on. That's definitely a fake double of the Princess. Those Vers dudes set it all up just because they're itching for a war - more like a massacre really. Pretty common scenario in Fictionland, I think.
Working on a manga. With pictures! All feedback welcome!but if it was a double. where is the real princess? and who came up with the idea to use a double? and why wasn't the count informed?
Normally I'd agree with you, but this is Urobutcher we're dealing with here.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.So... he's gonna pull the "You thought it wasn't, but guess what, it actually is?" An "I knew you knew that was too obvious?"
Because right now, that does seem much more obvious than my first theory. The way it was animated... was too obvious that it was obviously trying to make us formulate one idea over another.
EDIT: Too many obviouses...

Working on a manga. With pictures! All feedback welcome! We'll know for sure when we see the opening and ending animations. There's usually a reason why they don't show them in the first (few) episodes.
I feel sorry for those kids who made their wish after mistaking those martian ships for shooting star.
And damn Martian, something tells me the whole incident was done by them rather than a radical faction on Earth.
I'd say it's more like Code Geass honestly, what with the idealistic princess and her attendant from the other side.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.Eh, there's some similarities there, but without the camp it's an entirely different experience
Slaine is oh so moe. I ship him with Emotionless-kun, whatever his name is.
So the martians attack and Coop blew up the moon. Again
Either way, I agree with this post from the other thread
"If music be the food of love, PLAY ON" - William Shakespeare"I wished for world peace."
Oh Gen, you bastard, that line had me on the ground clutching my sides.
Gotta say, damn that was great for a first episode. So far I'm enjoying what I'm seeing.
Also, Kalafina ED, all my yes.
Why does this have two threads, I wonder.

"And you must be Jonathan Joestar!" - SueOh hey Gene Cernan. Totally didn't expect you to cameo. And the usual question, WTF happened to NASA?

ANN got more news of the ED song and some new promotional photos of the show.
The mech designs look interesting.
