A troper recommended one of my fics, Burning Vengeance, on the EVA fanfic thread. Somewhere like, page 8 I think. He also rec'ed one or two of my oneshots.
Beyond that....
If we're going by number of reviews-per-chapter, then Zero Deference is probably my biggest hit (only two chapters, but nearly 60 reviews). When BV has I think one less review, but has six chapters.
On the other hand, I'd prolly have to say that BV is the bigger hit overall, since it has around twice as many people who chose to favorite and follow it.
Rise, my son!
All of the following is Kingdom Hearts fanfic, taking place in my official fanfic universe, The Reluctant Father Universe.
Stupid Questions—This was my first KH fic (indeed, the first fanfiction I had written in a long time). It took a popular genre there, where Roxas and Xion ask Axel awkward questions, and took it to its Logical Extreme. 20 reviews, all positive, 16 faves, somewhere around 1k views. It's what got me really into fanfic.
Invader—My first attempt at writing suspense and action. Organization XIII fights against a mystery figure. 18 reviews, mostly positive, seven faves, 1k views. It was also my first really long fic, at ten chapters of varying length.
Sea-Salt Stories—my short story collection. Lots of bonding between Axel, Roxas and Xion, and eight chapters in, my first attempt at romance (Roxas x Xion). 28 reviews, all positive (admittedly, a lot of them are double reviews from dedicated fans who review every time I post), 10 faves, 1300 views.
I feel good about myself now.

please call me "XionKuriyama" or some variation, thanks! | What is the good deed that you can do right now?My most popular fanfiction is A Shared Existence, a fluffy Evangelion AU.
My previously most viewed fanfic, a God of War II "comedy" scriptfic, has 8,000 total hits. It was posted in 2009, 6 years ago. A Shared Existence has 5,000 hits. I posted it 6 months ago.

Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.ARISE FROM YOUR GRAVE
My most-successful work is In The Service, at 52291 hits, 77 reviews, 78 favs, and 63 alerts...a year after it ended. It's also by far my longest work at 99766 words. A Numbered Existence is at 48346 hits, 43 favs, and 34 alerts.
That said, Life After Hayate has far fewer hits (26072), 60 reviews, 95 favs, and 106 alerts on it and is still active; it's at only 16 chapters compared to In The Service's 29, but it's shaping up to be longer anyways.
All three of these are Nanoha works. Nothing else has connected terribly well by hits (though some have accumulated reviews vastly higher than their chapter count), though admittedly I'm writing in very small fandoms for the most part aside from Nanoha. I was surprised to see that I'm averaging better than 10 reviews per thousand hits on Wings To Fly; I guess Gundam Wing fans are vocal.
Nous restons ici.My most successful is Gaige's ECHO Logs, a Borderlands 2 Continuation Fic. 244,714 hits, 383 reviews, 420 favorites, and 342 followers. The semi-sequel one-shot, Krieg's Log, doesn't even come close, with 4,184 hits, 18 reviews, 79 favorites, and 25 followers (why do people even follow a one-shot?).
No one ever reviews any of my other fics. I imagine it would help if I actually published them.

Even after uploading more stories, my most popular one on Fanfiction Dot Net is the first in a series of stories called: "Epic Dream". I don't even know why, because it sucks.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."I was scrolling through tumblr and found a link to a fic with a caption that was something like " go read this it's great it'll make you cry and it's worth every tear."
so I did and it turned out to be my Big Hero 6 fic, " The Only Payoff." That was a self-esteem boost!
it's my most popular fic—and my longest, nearing 70K and not done yet. Between Ao3 and Fanfiction, it's got around 400 reviews, 300 followers, and 200 favorites.
I'm still not sure how that happened.

Got a degree in Emotional trauma via fictional characters aka creative writing. hosting S'mores party in Hell for fellow (evil) writersI'd have to say my most well-known fiction is an Old Shame "On the Ice" story I did when I was first getting started. It's likely my most well known because A: it's the oldest and B: I delete anything I can't finish.
Wolfsbane706, at your service.
For those of us who write them, and have have written more than a few.
Which of your fanfics are the most "famous" or "infamous" or just have the most reviews, are ones you've seen mentioned beyond reviews on whatever site you put them on..? And how do you think people might half-remember them after they've read them and started to inevitably forget about them in the flood of fan fiction?
Note: These aren't necessarily your best fan fictions or even good works, these are works of yours that you see get mentioned here and there/get a lot of reviews/faves/notes on.
I have a few in the "Legend of Zelda" fandom:
The Great Desert - this one has a tropes page I made on here, added to by its co-writer. It can also be found here: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4665742/1/The-Great-Desert It was written a few years ago, before some of the newer series games, such as Skyward Sword, came out, which is why it has a updated version (that I unfortunately lost interest in and only got a few chapters into). This fic is on the Fan Fiction Recommendations page here. I also saw it collected for "Fanfiction's Greatest" by whomever is running that. - If anybody remembers it, they probably remember it as "That Western/Legend of Zelda fic with Link as a cowboy that got increasingly weird and science-fictiony and generally derailed."
Wolfhide https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4880849/1/Wolfhide is one that seems to get a lot of notations and favorites out of the blue, though it's several years old. People might remember it as "Wait, Stephen King writes Twilight Princess fanfiction now?" or "Holy crap! Poor Rusl! Poor Link?" Or maybe just "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" It's one I think may be a more infamous fic than a famous one. It's a horror piece, fairly graphic. It's got a fairly predictable plot, but from what I've seen, it still seems to provide a jump scare.
Flowers for Fi https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7938593/1/Flowers-for-Fi is on the Fan Fiction Recommends. People seem to like sappy, tragic romances. This if is "That one where Scrapper the Robot stays by the Master Sword to take care of Fi as the ages wear on."
So, have anything that seems to be famous or infamous, that you see mentioned around? In which I attempt to be a writer.
