A Game of Portals

The fic is written by Kallin, and details portals opening between the lands of Westeros and other fictional worlds. These currently include: Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Pokémon: The Series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Star Trek: The Original Series, with more franchises to be included later.
This fanfic provides examples of:
- Deliberate Values Dissonance: The Fellowship of the Ring are horrified when they discover that Robert is planning to assassinate teenage Daenerys Targaryen, being unfamiliar to the cutthroat nature of Westeros' politics.
- In Spite of a Nail: Daenerys is still saved from the assassin who wishes to kill her with poisoned wine, though instead of Ser Jorah, it's the Doctor.
- Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: Team Rocket strikes again! Jessie, James, and Meowth follows Ash, Misty, and Brock to Westeros, where they again try to kidnap Pikachu. However, they do so while the trio are journeying with a group of Night's Watchmen, including First Ranger Benjen Stark. Needless to say, they are captured at sword point by the experienced swordsman.
- Mistaken for Clown: When Robert Baratheon sees the Sixth Doctor for the first time, he assumes he is some sort of jester, due to his infamous coat.
- Ominous Fog: What Prince Zuko's ship arrives through to get to Westeros, specifically off the coast of the Westerlands.
- Hostile Weather: The gigantic storm in the Vale that Avatar Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph (along with the team pets) arrives through to the mountainous region.
- Point of Divergence: The Sixth Doctor and his companion, Peri, unwittingly kidnap Jon Snow in their Tardis while trying to escape Winterfell. They end up a few months ahead of time in Essos, near Khal Drogo's khalasar. This will undoubtedly create several butterflies, as Jon is no longer in Westeros to join the Night's Watch.
- Portal Crossroad World: Westeros itself is becoming this, with portals opening up leading towards such worlds as Middle-Earth. No mention is made to whether or not Essos, or indeed the rest of Planetos, has become this as well.
- Teleporter Accident: How Kirk, Spock, and Bones arrive in Westeros. One minute they are beaming down to a mysterious, desert planet, the next they are in the lands beyond the Wall.
