I do like the Tron Lines. Will help make them feel alive rather than just machines.
It mentions specifically that Rita is trying to ressurect Goldar, who was originally created to penetrate a force field surrounding the Zeo Crystal. She wants to present the Crystal to her master...Lord Zedd, who got half his face burnt trying to steal it.
Also, Rita used to be a Green Ranger.
I'm taking that with a grain of salt, feels a little bit convoluted, mostly the stuff surrounding Goldar and the Zeo Crystal, but some elements feel natural. There was some fan concept art that depicted Zordon as similar to Dr. Manhattan and that could be really cool if the "Zordon is pure energy now" is true.
I was thinking too that Rita's appearance is definitely Ranger-esque, buying the theory she used to be the Green Ranger, as it looks like the Ranger costumes but burnt and shredded. And the weird markings on her face, that could be imprints of the visor for the dragon powers.
I like the idea of Goldar getting his badass cred back.
Okay, wow no. Goldar better not be a goo monster.
It looks like they forgot to paint it.
So is Goldar a gold T-1000? Or if we're sticking with the Toku route, Doras?
The article makes a good point
Goldar looks exactly like the Megazord, just covered in melted gold slime. Even has a similar head shape and matching horns. So, if Rita's the Green Ranger, can Goldar be her team's Zord corrupted? Are we dealing with more slime-based villains a la Ivan Ooze?

On the subject of the Goldar toy, a video of one of my favourite YouTubers giving his own two cents on the matter.
So far, Andre has been one of the more cautiously optimistic voices regarding the movie's redesigns (certainly more optimistic than I am, at any rate), so it's interesting seeing where he's starting to have his doubts on certain creative choices the movie seems to be going for.
I also hope he's right about the "gold blob" Goldar just being his initial form, partially because I've always been a fan of multi-stage monsters in the Godzilla movies, like Hedorah and Destoroyah, and mostly because otherwise, making Goldar a blob monster just reaches "make Galactus a cloud" levels of "WTF were they thinking?!" in my eyes.
I want to think we're dealing with a shapeshifter.
Want to.
Urgh, stop making sequels before the movie is even out.
Okay, I can understand that Lord of the rings managed to make it as a trilogy in theaters, but please, make a (seemingly) stand-alone movie, study the box-office, and then you can make a sequel. Did somebody learned from Fantastic Four ?
If it was, say an Interquel or Prequel, I would understand, but the movie isn't even out. We haven't even the script leaked.
I'm not crazy, just creatively different. Not as bad as Avatar having Avatar's two through four announced.
(V)(;,,;)(V)More like two to five
This wouldn't be much of a problem if we actually had a real trailer to show us what the Power Rangers movie will be like rather than a teaser.
Guys, the announced sequel is a comic book.
It does say that they hope to make seven movies, though.
Never really been a Power Rangers guy, but I'll probably go see this because goddamn that music is cash.
Also, funny short story: I went to see Rogue One with my mom and the trailer for this movie played. She was able to figure out that it was for Power Rangers before it was made obvious, and I have no idea how she did.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Ah-ha-ha-ha, remember The Last Airbender and all its plans for sequels? Or The Golden Compass? Good shit, those plans.
M. Night has said Last Airbender 2 is happening as recently as August 2016.
I want to like this but then we see the toys. Show me another trailer with more fighting.
Speaking of toys:
How will the Rangers even drive the Megazord like that?
Wake me up at your own risk.Reminds me of Ninja Storm's Storm Megazord's Lightning Mode. In that it's an obvious man in a suit.
(V)(;,,;)(V)I was thinking that too, which is weird, because there's no chance in the Abyss of Evil that this Megazord won't be CGI, and yet it looks like it will have more man-in-suit proportions than the version that was actually a man in a suit.
So it won't look like shiny metal from the Money for Nothing video. That's a start.
