Here are some of mine. I have more but haven't quite developed all of them yet.

  • Humans — Standard fare. They make up the majority of the world and can be found in most places. They are capable of magic. Can interbreed with any of the species below and form hybrids.
  • Elves — They originally hail from the forests. Many view them as second-class citizens, with many being at least a little racist towards them. This stems from a long history of elves having been enslaved, and the stigma hasn't disappeared yet. They're capable of magic, and are considered to be In Harmony with Nature.
  • Dwarves — Short, yet burly. You've seen them all before. They are most often found in mines, but are also used as labor around the world. They possess great physical strength for their size, but have limited magic capabilities.
  • LizardmenHumanoid lizard creatures. Feared by many, they often hunt in packs and operate as a clan. There are two kinds of lizardmen. There are those who are intelligent, and those who are feral. Intelligent lizardmen are capable of full speech, and can think as well as any "normal" race, if not better. Ferals are savages that can only be reasoned with by other lizardmen, and even then it's not a guarantee. Much of their tension is between the Great Apes, who are known to be violent on sight. They are not capable of magic, though some possess the ability to sprout wings and breath fire.
  • Great ApesLarge warrior gorillas who are often found in the forests. They are known not to take kindly to non-Apes, but some are willing to interact with those outside of their own kind. They powerful, hard to kill, and the best warriors are known for their fierce intelligence. Have a long history of conflict with the lizardmen, and are known to attack them on sight regardless of whether they had harmful intent. Not capable of magic, though their brute force makes up for that.
  • Werewolves/Lycans — Large wolf-like humanoids. They resided on their own island, and were fiercely intelligent. Despite the fear that many had of them, most had little interest in harming other races, so long as they were left alone. Still, they were given a bad name due to the rumors, which eventually led to one empire declaring war on them. After the conflict was over, all of the werewolves were subject to genocide. All members were killed, except one. This has been known as "The Lycan Genocide" by some.
  • Succubus — An all-female race of highly buxom women. Be warned though, trying to get in bed with these women will get you what you want... before you get your soul sealed away forever. They thrive off of sex, and the power they get from stealing the souls of men. However, this is a curse for them as well. All sex ends with the man losing their soul to the woman, sealed in eternal pleasure as they power their magic. This means that they are unable be intimate with the men they legitimately love. For this reason, succubus are often hunted down and either captured as a prisoner or killed for the danger they pose. All of them are highly capable of magic, and grow more powerful as they steal men's souls.
  • Nightshades — A race of shadow creatures. No one knows much about them, and they are widely feared and rightfully so. Nightshade's are known to be hostile to all, and are viewed as the physical manifestation of one's own worst nightmare.
  • Hybrids — This is any combination of human and another race. Hybrids are often viewed as abominations, and subjected to Fantastic Racism the most. Few have any sympathy for hybrids, which has led to a multitude of problems when the hybrid becomes exactly what they are thought to be.
