Looking forward to it.
I'm intrigued to see if it works.
How wouldn't it? It's just telling a story in the setting, yeah?
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.More or less. It just seems like an odd pairing, due to Borderlands being big on gameplay yet weak on story while Telltale products tend to be the opposite. Honestly though, Handsome Jack. That's all I need to know.
#IceBearForPresidentThis did catch me by surprise, especially since Telltale does have two ongoing projects and is formulating a Game of Thrones game. Still interested to see what the take would be, seeing that I really like the Borderlands games.
I did see that there are some people surprised that Telltale is taking a goofy property, nevermind the times they did so with the likes of Sam & Max.

I now go by Graf von Tirol. Two words: Handsome Jack.
Speculatin' time! Anyone else here think that this would take place between the two Borderlands games?

I now go by Graf von Tirol. That would make sense. Explain Handsome Jack's backstory a little more, maybe even let us see his wife. And considering the fact that it says "Borderlands," plural, leads me to believe we might get to actually see planets besides Pandora.
I don't expect the story to leave Pandora any time soon. The series has been called Borderlands from day 1, and we still haven't left the non-homeworld of the Na'Vi.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. But Borderlands doesn't refer exclusively to Pandora.
Oh good, I was afraid this got scrapped in favor of the Pre-Sequel. Not that I have a problem with that, I just want both. Which we're getting. So I'm good.
God, I want Rhys to be gay so bad. Dat smoulder. *shiver*
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.Apparently a trailer is coming out tomorrow.

Episodic? Hmm, I'm usually pretty wary of those.
But this does look pretty fun.
Oh really when?I want.
That's Telltale's entire MO. It's worked for their last 3 games.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I just want a release date already!
Granted, Telltale usually release shortly after they make the official big announcement and stuff so...
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing. It's already up for pre-order on Steam, with a release date of November 2014.
November 25th to be exact. I've never played a Borderlands game but I've been meaning to play one of telltale Games's series so I'm thinking of playing this one. That trailer was especially nice.
And it's out! Downloading now, haven't had a chance to play it. This works out well for me; I've been having trouble playing Dragon Age: Inquisition because of RAM concerns, so I can play this while I wait for that to come through.
No discussion about the Telltale/Gearbox collaboration?
