Iiiiin other news, this fic seems interesting, though the tags have me slightly worried.
But goddamn. Only 7 chapters in and I already love it
I've decided!
I'm going to write a Crack Fic...involving Yang's severed arm.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Would it involve a certain serial killer going on a date with it?
I could make a reference to it.
I'm going to start classy and have White Fang members wondering who should have it and should they try wiping their butts with it.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. What, it doesn't go on TV as a member of the Addams Family?
Oh come on. Thing doesn't punch out nearly enough things to have been attached to Yang.
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.It IS the hand that got cut off. Maybe it's the wimp hand.
Maybe Yang's hand went on to work on Good Eats instead.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I think some random person who lost their arm in a grim attack got Yang's grafted on as a replacement. Everyone is kind of confused when it tries to punch everything when the patient is asleep.
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go."The White Rose of Vermillion" updated if anyone cares. I don't remember what's going on in this story and I honestly don't care anymore.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I'm surprised no one is talking about this but the RWBY fan fic React Watch Believe Yikes due to specified "Legal Reasons". Probably done by a group who mass flags fanfics they don't like.
Made a edit over here: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FanFic/ReactWatchBelieveYikes
I got the tip off while browsing Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/RWBY/comments/57vwu0/react_watch_believe_yikes_one_of_the_oldest_and/
To be fair, they're flagging fanfics that are mostly illegal on FFN.
How about an Aswang, Nue, Kolbold, Kelpie, Mothman, or Chupacabra?
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’Never heard of the Aswang. Expound please?
Isn't a Nue that one yokai that's always twins and has electricity powers?note If so, I already have a Shock and Awe person with the Raiju-based character (also fuuuuuck the "Faunus only have one trait" thing >.>).
Kolbold could work, as could a Kelpie. A Mothman or Chupacabra-based character would work better for a villain personally.
So I was able to think of the third member's base: Will-o'-the-Wisp/hitodama (thank you Chandelure for reminding me that those things exist )
This can probably explain better than I can. As for the Nue, the most I remember about is the animal hodgepodge bit. Head of monkey, body of a tiger, and a snake for a tail. I think Zabimaru from Bleach was one.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’Aswang: a human by day, monster when hungry shapeshifting, corpse eating, ninjafast monster with supersenses. It steals the bodies of the dead during the funeral, leaving behind a banana trunk shape-shifted to look like the corpse while he steals it away to eat it. You can tell the body is fake because it has no fingerprints. It can change into any animal, though it usually becomes a really big black dog or bull. An aswang is identifiable by seemingly bad hygiene, sallow skin, and the fact your reflection will be upside in his eyes when you look in them. It has superhearing, but it needs to focus sounds properly by sticking it's head in a well to get good reception. Paradoxically, they make very good neighbors. If you live next door to one, you'll think they were awesome, and it's totally safe to leave your kids with them, who'll see them as a cool uncle. This isn't a power, they're really that nice, the corpse-eating thing aside.
It's a monster from the Philippines, though I believe some malay cultures have similar, similarly named creatures hat aren't as demonized by the Spanish. They're almost universally male. You do NOT want to know what the female equivalent is.

... That is surprisingly much more metal than I was expecting
Can't help it, I did my thesis on these things.
By the way, no offense to the poster, but that link about aswang conflate two different creatures, the Aswang and the mananangal. Some people assume it's a case of Bizarre Sexual Dimorphism, but from my research, they' come from two distinct lines of lore that got conflated in modern times. The latter are actually closer in the territory of demonic Magical Girlfriends originally, though Spanish influence eventually moved them to be more like predatory succubi who eat fetuses by melting them in the mother's womb and sucking them out with a ridiculously long hollow tongue.

Didn't know that, thanks.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’
Then the show would be even more inconsistant than it already is.
