Exactly What It Says on the Tin
Feel free post your idea for game you wish someone would start or, if you're a GM type person, peruse this thread to see if there's anything that looks interesting that at least one other person has interest in too.
Once again, who is interested?

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.Pathfinder, everyone is summoners.
Three things:
1. Revive my first venture for an RP where players play normal characters (all from fictional media) as they rely on wits, weapons, equipment and their intellect to survive. I may have to change the way it plays out so that it's not a typical multiverse crossover thing where fighting is involved.
2. Do a Drifters-like RP where public domain characters are the good guys, along with some who are controversial in actual history.
3. Revive the Cold War-era special operations RP where the CIA and the KGB use multinational teams under their control to wreck havoc covertly against their enemy's territory and spheres of influence.
I was thinking of something similar -in a way- to 1, but instead of having normal characters, my idea had normalized characters. That is, originally powerful characters, but somehow turned completely human and/or powerless, and forced to either survive in the wild or do menial tasks like cleaning, cooking and the like.
Because I know we all want to see an overly powerful villain cleaning a toilet with a toothbrush.
That would be awesome to see, but I ain't heading for that route.
An SCP Foundation based RP would be quite neat.
Is it okay to show this off?

Generally speaking, I'm looking for any kind of mecha RP that allows for freedom and creativity in mech creation rather than providing a list of skeleton mechs and possible equipment. Would appreciate openness towards the super robot genre or at the very least an acceptance that real robots are not the only kind of mecha and that being a stickler for realism in mecha is kinda silly since the whole concept runs on rule of cool anyway.
If we're talking fandom to make things easier, a Gundam G Generation game. It's a crossover that allows characters and Mobile Suits from any continuity and has Build Fighters style balancing across the board so OYW units can compete with Seed or 00 units if enough work is put into them and/or if the pilot's skilled enough. The ability for players to customize their mobile suits within reason would be quite appreciated, but just being able to take most any MS and not have to engage in powerwank to justify one's choice or feel shafted when paired against modern show M Ses would be key here.

"incomprehensible metallic droning"It'd be cool to see a transitional mecha RP that went from Real Robot to Super Robot in a Lensman Arms Race, with mechs constantly swapping out parts along the way. Maybe parts could be used from games like Armored Core, Front Mission, or SLAI early on. Hadn't heard about SD Gundam G Generation, I should check it out.
I may start a post-cyberpunk RP, if that has any appeal.

Flesh is a design flaw.Depends on the story.
Justanid I like your idea as well, though it kind of hinges on an RP running long enough for the progression to kick in. And, in my experience, it's best not to bet on that.
Something like SRW OG where both kinds of mech are around and supers are just very advanced and expensive units that get funky gimmicks because they're powerful enough to allow themselves to get them would work too. I just want a mecha RP with freedom to be cool and do whatever when it comes to your giant robot. I'd also be very okay with throwing in kaiju because why not, they're dumb fun as well.
As for G Gen, Overworld is the latest game in the series and it's one of those games you'll only get a real kick out of if you're really big into Gundam, especially since it isn't translated. Gameplay gets a bit stale and stages take really long even if your forces are all tearing through the enemy. But the balancing deal where you can take more or less any unit and use it to very little detriment is great.

"incomprehensible metallic droning"Honestly, I'd like to see a Prototype style Rp, with a zombie apocalypse and people developing strange powers, there was one here a while ago, but it unfortunately died, which is a shame.
Good to be backWould anyone be interested in a Mecha RP where any character or mecha concept works if one can somehow justify it? Extremely advanced alien technology would be the reason humans can even make mecha there (short for Mechanical Armor), and since all our media exists there too there's also in-universe justification for simply using your favorite mecha.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Troyand, convince the others that a literary crossover would be a fantastically fun idea!
For duty, duty, must be done, the rule applies to everyone;@Lass: I would be interested in participating, but I'm very busy and your insistence on pushing the idea isn't endearing me to it. Just because you place the idea on here does not mean that someone's guaranteed to use it.
Lass, I'm going to take a break from my usual wise-ass persona and indulge in a rare moment of sincerity. I don't have them often.
If people have repeatedly failed to show interest, they aren't interested, okay? I know it can be hard to let go of an idea you're sure would be awesome, but pressing it is only going to put people against it further. If I'm not mistaken, you even created a whole new thread for this, which hasn't gone anywhere.
I'm sorry, but I learned the same thing when I tried to make a Bioshock rp. I've been here, and... it's probably not going to happen. Not any time soon, at least.
So, now for everyone's daily serving of Vitamin Smartass...
Let it go!
Let it go!
Can't hold it back anymore...
On a serious note, anyone have a character archetype they're really love to play sometime?

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.A BioShock RP sounds cool... your RP had 7 people express interest and 3 characters made. How big a group were you looking to get?
I'd love to try playing The Omniscient, as I'd have no idea where to start and it might be fun trying to figure out how.
How many pages did you dig through to find that?
I mean... I suppose I'd need to consider that. I'd love to finally see my old idea put into action.
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.Hmmm.
A Spy RP where the Rpers go on missions and the such. Set somewhere in the near future but with future tech like performance enhancers like in GI Jo.
Sort of like Cherub- Anyone read that series?
Even if a time machine was invented, and man discovered how to live forever, not a single thing would become more convenient.
Someone spying, sneaking and from the distant future, huh?
Guess I'm the monster for your job then.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.
Does anyone else want to GM/participate in a late 1800's / early 1900's literary crossover? A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen /Anno Dracula sort of thing.
