The slashes, combined with the energy ball and Divine Buster, finally put an abrupt end to the Colossus' life in one fell swoop.
Time seems to slow down, as the light on its tusks and Sigil fade, and after a pause, the mighty beast collapses heavily in a lifeless heap on the ground, shaking the Arena.

I'm sure Nanoha and me would find that a lot more upsetting if the durn thing hadn't shot first and Played Possum when she tried to let it off the hook.
I'd give you a CMOA, but then I'd have to give every Colossus fight a CMOA.

Nanoha holds out her staff, forming another barrier at its head. Unlike the others, this one is less Instant Runes and more pure force, and clearly more powerful. The hemisphere of violet energy deflects every tentacle which lashes across it.

-Since the cooldown is over, the Juggernaut performs another Blade Fury, cutting down any nearby tendrills-
Lovepilled and Hopemaxxing
The tendrils force their way into Joshua's body by phasing through his chest, with a rather painful squelching sound, and creepy black smoke comes out of his mouth. Strangely, this does no damage at all, and Joshua will be unharmed from this, if maybe a little shaken.
The other tendrils continue their unrelenting assault, desperately trying to do the same to the others.

With a snap-hiss! kind of a sound, Raising Heart ejects another spent Cartridge, and the power of the Protection Powered shield redoubles.
"Stay back! I'm too young for this!"

The tendrils decide to give up on Nanoha, and they all lash their way into Joshua.
His attempts to pull them out fail, as they are intangible, and they disappear completely into his body.
This has little to no negative effects on Joshua besides some slight trauma, and if anything, gives him a slight (very slight) power-up.
After that, the battle with the Colossus is truly over, and all that's left is a rocky corpse in the middle of the street.
This time, it really is over.

Canon. They're the Colossus' soul taking up residence in your own. It actually doesn't have any really negative effects, and if anything makes you slightly stronger, but only when you kill all of the Colossi is when it gets real bad.
