The trope has nothing to do with Schrodinger either... shall we replace the butterfly with a picture of Erwin?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Yeah, what's this trope about again? It doesn't seem to have any relation to Schrodingers Cat or Butterfly of Doom.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Yeah, I haven't quite figured it out. I thought it was like Or Was It a Dream?, but the description says they contrast. I figured it was like the top at the end of Inception. Maybe this trope needs some serious TRS.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. On first glance, it should be merged with Or Was It a Dream?. But yeah, that goes on the TRS queue.
In the meantime, the image illustrates the name rather than the trope, and ought to be cut.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! So it has nothing to do with Butterfly of Doom, but rather the Butterfly refers to a Chinese philosopher who couldn't figure out whether he was a butterfly or not in a thought experiment. It would be lovely if the description clarified that at all, rather than relying on the quote.
I think the difference between this and Or Was It a Dream? is that OWIAD is about there being some hint that the dream took place (but you are definitely awake now as well). This is about the dream took place... but you may have never woken up.
Either way, NOT going to be easy to illustrate.
Seconded.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. How about this one? It's slightly more indicative of the trope — a dream that the dreamer isn't sure whether it's a dream or not.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I'd be happy with that. Not perfect, but good enough.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. That's much better.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Much, much better. It clearly illustrates at least what the trope is about, while the current (despite being pretty) does not.
Yes.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Yeah, that goes well.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanGo for it.
That's seven votes in favour, so it's up and tagged.

Good find. Caption or no?
"...dreaming of butterflies dreaming of me dreaming of butterflies."?
"Was I dreaming, or did I just dream I was dreaming?"
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I think the old caption would suffice.
Dream a little dream of me... :P
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI like that best of all.
After reading the tropes through, I think I have the distinctions pegged down.
- All Just a Dream: An adventure turns out to have been a dream.
- Or Was It a Dream?:... Only for a clue that suggests the dream really happened.
- Schrödinger's Butterfly: A character discovers they are in a false world (VR, illusion, dream) and gets out. Only to have a lingering doubt as to whether they really got out or just changed the simulation.
So OWIAD has a "dream" prove real and is used only for dreams. SB implies the simulation is ongoing, and encompasses more false reality scenarios.

No consensus on a caption; locking up.
It's... just a butterfly. This trope isn't even about butterflies. It's just the Trope Namer, but it doesn't help illustrate.
