As someone who cares a lot about reptiles, I agree.
Though I do dislike this show, (complete with a Bile Fascination, of course) I don't see it as the evil, childhood-destroying, timeslot-hogging Dexters Laboratory ripoff most people accuse it to be.* Guess I've been hanging around with the Cartoon Network gewunners for a bit too long. Anyway, I just think that it's a tad mediocre, not So Bad, It's Horrible like how most others say it is. Though I often find myself Rooting for the Empire considering how much of a sociopath the "hero" is.

I wholehearted sympathize with you and offer my services to help you eat tonight - start with the entire main cast of Eliot Kid - I know where they live!! They taste awesome.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.I only watch it for the Test sisters.
Signatures are for lamers.I've never watched Johny Test, if it demonizes reptiles like that, I'm glad I never did.
I can't believe I watched it, period. May it be eaten by the gators, already!
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.I think the problem is Johnny himself. Seriously. He acts quite annoyingly.
I'm not LGBT. I just think Rain's really cool. Apologies if my humor gets too painful.@Panctice Squad Cutterback
Eh, Bling-Bling seems more annoying. His plots are painfully redundant.
Johnny is like the little brother I used to act towards my sis (what with pestering her to helps me with shit).
Also this show isn't as bad Total Drama Island. That show is like a real bad parody of MTV's Real World game shows.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -Mugenx6 Ouit shoe horning in Elliot Kid so much! We know you're in love with the show.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceOh, this show is just so horrible. I cringe any time I see so much as a commercial for it.
Sadly, it's so cheap to make that getting even a handful of viewers makes it successful so it'll say the packing peanuts of Cartoon Network's lineup (though I do consider it marginally better than the alternative: more and more repeats of those crappy direct-to-DVD Tom & Jerry or Scooby Doo movies).

"When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all" Futurama, GodfellasI would actually rewatch more "The new Scooby-doo movies" than suffer through even one minute of this flash animated bullcrap. It's like a tour through the mindset of your basic Screwy Squirrel sugar-charged 5-year old in America/Canada! Johnny plays a Jerkass mostly in every episode, The dog's a Butt-Monkey, There's virtualy NOStraight Man... It's just overdone and very dumb now.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIs this just gonna be another complaint thread?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."@Physical Stamina
I'm getting that vibe from the last couple of posts.
Seriously suggesting this show is worse than Total Drama Island is absolutely absurd.
I've managed to laugh and enjoy this more than Scooby doo Incoporated, and laugh at it than awful shows like Total Drama Island.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenI can't think of any other reason why someone would make a Johnny thread. If we tried to point out the best points in this show, it would probably be it fits the sitcom genre to the point.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThat and the Test twins.
Signatures are for lamers. Not what I'd call a good show by any means but there are other cartoons I dislike more.
(*coughFairlyOddParentscough*)
On my wave, passing oooooooon.... No good will come to this.......
It's a mediocre but watchable show. Certainly nowhere as good as Mystery Inc. (although it's unfitting to compare them in the first place, since they are completely different in scope and storytelling), but nowhere as actively irritating as Fairly Oddparents (I'm still a Tuff Puppy fan, though).
Never watched anything but a single episode of Total Drama, but I know I hated that episode. CN Latin America seemed to discard that show pretty quickly anyway, so I didn't get to give it another try.

To try and keep this from being a complaint thread, I will say that this show had something going for it. Back in the days of Kids WB, the show had fun watchable ideas and the animation was fluid and watchable.
The main problem with the show now is nothing ever changes now: Johnny or his sisters mess things up which gets fixed at the end, villains try to take over city or something petty and are defeated in 11 minutes. Lately there have been similar plots that revolve around an Aesop but its hammered in to the point of annoyance almost every scene (ex. Book reading, recycling). Episodes that do shake things up go back to a boring status quo: talking dukey revealed to parents, Johnny jealous enough to make them forget. At least a few new plots could be made with that change. Heck one of my favorites was the western where at the end Susan tolerates Bling-Bling a little and Gil at least knows the Test girls. Granted, most of this isn't a problem for new viewers but when look at the old eps they would notice something's up.
Okay maybe this was a complaint after all but even the show as it is now, might just be saved if they shook characters up a little or at the very least, take some cues from the earlier seasons.
All of space and time, everything that ever was and could have been... and there's still nothing on tvNow that I think about it the Fairly Odd Parents suffers the same problems even when it tries to do something new
All of space and time, everything that ever was and could have been... and there's still nothing on tvI see, so instead of being a Johnny Test complaint thread, this is gonna turn into a Fairly Oddparents complaint thread. Marvelous.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."... You know, I (almost... ALMOST) tried to turn this into an Eliot Kid complaint (Better yet - HATE...) thread - then realized how stupid and made of fail I was sounding (and acting)... Yeah.
I don't think ANYONE legitimately likes or can like Johnny Test (at least not anymore...IF it was ever likable/good to begin with!) - not even babies. It only keeps getting revived (despite no real ratings whatsoever!!) due to how CHEAP it is and how FUCKING CHEAP CN is trying to be, just so they can pursue more ways to bring shit to the channel that doesn't belong. COLD. HARD. TRUTH!
Also, I hate to say this, but - Seconded. On. End. Of. Thread, Please...
One more thing - x6... YOU ARE ONE LUCKY SON OF A BITCH! We Americans so DON'T want this noise on our channel anymore, knowing how worthless it is!

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Yeah, no. Don't let Opinion Myopia cloud your judgement if no one liked Johnny Test, CN would've dropped it years ago. Just because we don't like it (and even I don't think it's truly execrable) doesn't mean other don't. I'm sure kids with single-digit ages can't get enough of it.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Goddamn Opinion Myopia - I've been foiled again. THAT'S IT - I'm going back to watching something I actually don't hate.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.Waaahhh waahhhh waaaahhhh, everything that doesn't chant praises is an eeeeeevil complain thread now...
Since the last one got locked.
So, I would posit that the reason for the hatedom is the show's stance on Alligators, as shown in Johnny's Royal Flush.
In Johnny Test, alligators are nothing but mindless beasts who eat anything and, alone of all antagonists, deserve to be chopped into their component parts (alligator bags).
As an alligator, I really don't appreciate being symbolically reduced to a mouth full of sharp teeth for the crime of being hungry.
