- Appearance: Look familiar?

- Race: Half-Dragon/Human
- Personality: A girl who finishes what she starts no matter what. She is a loving girl, compassionate, inuitive and humanitarian. She is responsible, kind of gives off the aura of a 'teacher' or a big-sister figure. Those are her positive traits. Her negative seem to be that she can get nervous when overwhelmed and she has a quick temper if people don't listen to her. Her hobbies are writing poems and singing to herself so being creative is a large part of her persona.
- Abilities:
- Adept Sword Fighter: Ingrid is excellent with a sword in hand.
- Precognition: Even in a young age Ingrid fought against many foes. This accumulated into an ability akin to precognition when fighting.
- Dragon-blooded Daughter: By having the blood of a dragon, ailments (sickness and status effect, using RPG terms) do not effect her. It also allows for heightened regeneration when out of battle. Offers resistance against supernatural curses and poison. In addition to this, Ingrd is capable of showing her nature as a dragon through extension of wings, formation of scales and a tail. This allows for speedy flight and enhanced strength.
- Equipment:
- Divine Arm — Excalibur: The sword belonging to the famous King Arthur in the Matter of Britain. It is a sword crystalized and created by the Lady of the Lake that shines as bright as the sun. It is simply an existing version of the swords that King Arthur used with others being Caliburn and Collbrande, meaning there is more than one iteration of the same blade. Excalibur is considered a powerful blade that can even cleave into the heavens. The phenomena the blade exerts is 'glory'. When the blade is invoked, a wailing storm of Ether is released causing intense strain on the user. If it wasn't for Ingrid's Dragon heritage, her body would be torn from the inside out due to the strain. When invoked and the sword swung, the released Ether is thrown forward in the form of an intense blue and gold beam.

- Writes poetry, good artist, writes songs and sings.
- Bio: A girl who ran away from home with the Divine Arm Excalibur in tow. Britain wasn't very impressed that a member of the royal family kind of ran off with their countries sacred treasure BUT it does rightfully belong to her. She went to the academy and became a student in order to find asylum from her own native country. Her desire is to change things in Britain to fit her own standards rather than those of her father.

Question... I'm thinking I might have my character be sort of an artificer-type, using Ether in conjunction with various crazy contraptions. Would that work, or would all those things count as Divine Arms and not be able to be made by P Cs?

@Kayube: There can be equipment that utilizes Ether without having to be a Divine Arm such as magitek cellphones or laser guns, yes. Divine Weapons are simply things that use Ether to bend the laws of physics and concepts such as a sword that is always sharp no matter what it cuts into or a gun that shoots bullets that are not slowed down by air resistance or humidity. Divine Weapons can also be manufactured by PC characters if they have a knack for inventing, but they're much less effective and powerful than D.W.'s that already exist. I should've been a bit more clear, eheh.
And now it's time for more world building, with the various races that populate the new world!
- Humans: The most common and numerous race in the world, with a myriad of ethnicities under its belt. No special trait besides being able to produce offspring with most other sapient humanoid races and are overall well-rounded.
- Elves: A generic term used for the genus closest to the spiritual side without being spiritual in nature. Known for their long life span, pointed ears, fine features and racial characteristic of being able to manipulate large amounts of Ether more easily than most others. In general very refined and distinguished. Very common in Europe. Can be further subdivided into High Elves, Wood, and Dark Elves. Commonly converts Ether into fueling magic.
- Half-Elves: Longer lived than humans but shorter than full blooded Elves and are capable of showing old age unlike regular Elves. Not quite as naturally skilled with Ether manipulation like their full blooded kin, but of hardier constitution.
- Dwarves: Squat, compact, and hardy humanoids who has much more strength than their frames would have you believe. Beards are pretty much necessary. Very good at creating Magitek things but for some reason suck at using Magic themselves.
- Giant: Beings who reach great size, usually around 4 m high once adulthood is reached. Due to their proportions, they are physically one of the naturally strongest races. Able to take vast amounts of punishment and deal it out, they are living juggernauts. Their ability to use Ether is considered poorer than most other races.
- Nature Spirit Clans: A catch all term used for supernatural entities who are living spirits. They produce much more Ether than nonspiritual races, but are stuck with using Abilities that relate to their elemental nature. Examples include...

- Appearance: "Of course I'm a witch! What else would I be?"
- Personality: Mafuyu is a cheerful girl who fully embraces her nature as a witch. Having a deep admiration for firepower, especially firepower that is lasers, Mafuyu adores her usage of ether for firepower. Explosions, too, are something she likes. Mafuyu has a large appetite, and yet no ability to cook any kind of food whatsoever. This is naturally somewhat frustrating for her. She tends to jump into situations without waiting for help and without thinking. She is intelligent, but she rarely thinks things through before getting in the middle of them. She adores her Mause, Zee. She just also likes using her as a targeting assistant. Mafuyu enjoys a good fight and is an eager and confident girl.
- Abilities: Mafuyu is a Witch, an aerial ether-user who flies using a broomstick. She is skilled in flight and the control of her broomstick, as well. She is almost entirely a long-range fighter, save for a single spell in her arsenal.
- Four Stars Burst: A spell that generates four 'stars', round blue orbs of ether than float about Mafuyu's body and can be remotely controlled by her. They are roughly the size of a fist each. Mafuyu casts this spell by sacrificing coins in order to generate the orbs. By sacrificing more coins, she can bring it up to...
- Eight Stars Blitz: Much the same as the above, except with twice as many 'stars' firing twice as many lasers.
- Starfall Rhapsody: A function of her broom itself, Mafuyu can charge up and fire a huge beam of ether as a blue laser. It takes up a lot of ether, making it a weapon of last resort, something only to be used if absolutely necessary. It is highly destructive.
- Sapphire Meteor Direct: Mafuyu's single physical attack, Sapphire Meteor Direct fires a laser from the rear of Mafuyu's broom, propelling it towards the target with enough force to cause serious damage on impact. Mafuyu doesn't use it often, being more of a ranged fighter.
- Equipment: Mafuyu carries an array of coins to use as sacrifice for her spells. She also deploys a set of armor in combat:
- A Witch's Wardrobe - Black Magic Shell: Something to the effect of this(the girl's armor. Except black and with Mafuyu's witch hat), Black Magic Shell is a program deployed in the form of a suit if armor. While it does not offer very much protection, it does offer more protection then Mafuyu would have without it.
- Armor Shell: An Armor Shell specifically for her broom, this deploys over her broom and prevents damage to it. After all, a wooden broom would be very susceptible to destruction in a fight.
- Zee: Mafuyu's Mause, Zee(appearance pending) is a loopy, tiny chibi girl who uses a large spotlight to aid Mafuyu's targeting.
- A Witch's Wardrobe - Black Magic Shell: Something to the effect of this
- Skills: Mafuyu is an "anti-cook", a cook so incredibly bad that any attempts to cook on her part can only be referred to as "anti-cooking". She is decent with aiming, but requires assistance to be able to hit fast targets.

Well, here goes.
- Name: Kaharani Dairen.
- Age: Nineteen. Her birthday was just three days before the RP's start.
- Gender: Female.
- Race: Spirit-possessed Human. That is, Dairen is human, but she has an especially close connection with the spirit of a long-gone hero, and it sometimes possesses her.
- Appearance: Dairen's preferred attire (disregard the bow, arrow and quiver).◊ TADAKATSU's possession tends to overwrite her body a bit...◊
- Personality:
- Dairen: Dairen is a goofball. If it makes her look odd, Dairen probably did it at least once, as long as it's nothing too tasteless — speaking in verse for an entire day, yes, dying her hair with a dozen different colours, no. Beneath that oddness, however, hides a focused if lazy person. She's smart, she likes knowing stuff and learning new things, but half of the time she can't be bothered because of some reason or the other. When she's angered, however, Beware the Silly Ones comes into full effect; her tantrums, thrown only very rarely, tend to be very damaging.
- TADAKATSU: The spirit of Honda Tadakatsu, the famous vassal of Tokugawa Ieyasu from ages long bygone, is very much the same as was in life; a person of honour, virtue, uprightness and unparalleled might. In life Tadakatsu was an unbeaten warrior, and traces of that still remain, especially in the spirit's tendency to declare its might to the Heavens.
- Abilities:
- Spirit-possessed Dairen, the fusion of body and spirit: The ability from which all of Dairen's other abilities are derived, this is the state of being able to channel the spirit TADAKATSU. This is a passive ability that is always active as long as Dairen is awake and conscious.
- Wielder of the Spear: After years of sharing a body (in a sense) with TADAKATSU, some of his fighting skills have bled over to Dairen, particularly those concerning spears.
- Declaration of Might, Unparalleled Warrior: When Dairen declares TADAKATSU's might to the heavens (by shouting), some of his strength and grace bleed over to her. This is effectively an activated self-buff.
- I am TADAKATSU!: By declaring her union with the spirit, Dairen allows TADAKATSU to take control of her body. In that state her physical abilities and skill with the spear are greatly increased, but she loses control of her body.
- Equipment:
- Divine Arm — Tonbogiri, Dragonfly Cutter: Honda Tadakatsu's famous spear. Its blade is so sharp that even a dragonfly landing on it while it is still will be cut in half. In TADAKATSU's hands, the edge becomes even sharper, cutting through reality into the substance underneath it to fire slashes of sharp æther at TADAKATSU's foes.
- Skills: TADAKATSU knows most of the skills required from a Samurai — swordsmanship, Tea Ceremony, flower arrangement, calligraphy, etc etc. Dairen has Encyclopaedic Knowledge, plays the Shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute) with no small skill, and is more knowledgeable about ancient music than a college student should be.
- History: Dairen is the scion of the family of a long-lost war hero, which, centuries before, moved to Japan from their home, Israel. There the family intermarried with the family responsible for Honda Tadakatsu's shrine. She was enrolled into Masamune Gakuen at a young age, and until now stood by as the school continued to lose ground; when her family's shrine fell to the hands of a rival school, however, she was roused into action, vowing to take her ancestral grounds back.

Personality: Masamune's personality can be summed up in one word: FLASHY!
That is, everything Date tries to do involves a massive amount of hotblooded passion and even more importantly, dashing style. While this can often result in him coming off as a brash and over-dramatic airhead, he actually puts a surprising amount of thought into his actions, with concern for his friends and the people around him at the front of his mind. Masamune eagerly dreams of uniting the East under the school to regain its' glory and perhaps expanding the school's influence and relations even further.
Abilities:
Equipment: Masamune's "Eyepatch" is actually a magical replacement for his damaged right eye, allowing him not only full vision but also letting him "See the Invisible", some examples including things like footsteps, air currents, lines-of-sight, and weapon trajectories, but totally doesn't let him see through people's clothing at all. Also notable is the iconic crescent moon helmet Date wears into battle in order to "inspire the masses." Though mostly for show, he can detach the crescent and throw it like a boomerang as an emergency weapon.
Finally in times of war, Masamune can call on Masamune Gakuen's collection of six Masamune swords:
Honjo Masamune, Fuudo Masamune, Hocho Masamune, Kotegiri Masamune, Truman Masamune, and the Yawarakai-Te.
Skills: In addition to being a highly skilled swordsman and tactician, Date believe's that "A man's passions should be as deep as the ocean and as numerous as the stars!" Thus he has a wide variety of not-so-fleeting passionate hobbies ranging from painting to cooking to poetry and more, with levels of success and skill varying from unbelievably good to soul-shattering horribleness. He especially loves cooking and often attempts to cater for Student Council meetings and diplomatic affairs by himself. Finally, he's fascinated by other nations and cultures and tries his best to learn about and from them.

- Personality: Hibiki is an extreamely calm and sometimes impulsive individual, acting without thinking in some situations he considers to be the best way when it's clearly not. He has difficulty remembering people's faces and names but can often later remember it when that person isn't around.
- Abilities:
- Hibiki can control Ice, creating ice shards, armor or Ice pillars and more.
- Mixture Of street brawl and martial arts, he also have little amount of martial knowledge on how to wield a blunt weapons.
- Acrobatic skill from practicing Martial arts
- Equipment:
- Blast gauntlets which increase his fist damage and allow him to blast some of his ice power with punches.
- Shoes designed to let him move on ice in the way he wants either sliding or normal running without slipping.
- Skills: Hibiki mostly shines with using computers and programs, he often come up drawing concepts but due to lack of drawing talent he ask professionals do them. He also shine's with videogames and studying.

Based a fair bit on Kyoukai Senjou No Horizon, the setting takes place in a Magitek world with tons of Shōnen and Slice of Life influence. Here's hoping it's interesting enough.
In a far off future of an alternate Earth, a mysterious event had transpired somewhere in the the 21st century that caused a breakdown the veil between the human world and the supernatural world, causing the two sides to collide and merging into in similar but wholly different world, causing massive global disasters and rearranging the very shape of the earth and several laws of physics. As the survivors of the violent fusion waited for the new world to stabilize, they began to learn from each other and recreated civilization together. Building up from the cataclysmic event known as the "Wake", an entirely new world was born from the ashes of the old two.
The various races have now found that due to the reworked laws, every living thing in the world (and some very special inanimate objects) can produce a substance called Ether. Soon, the new world was saturated int the substance, which was discovered to hold a myriad of effects once refined that could only be described as miraculous. Ether could fuel "Abilities", or "techniques that utilized Ether to create certain phenomena" and be used as fuel for weapons such as the Ether Bomb which were highly destructive in nature. Quickly utilized for warfare, the world was quickly torn asunder yet againby the mistreatment of Ether. This resulted in various laws imposed on the restriction of Ether usage of all countries so that such an event would happen again.
In the thirtieth century of the new calendar, the world is divided into various city states, each ruled by Academies which in turn are ruled by Student Councils. War is treated more like a global tournaments that happen every 4 years between the Academy Students and politics are heavily based on who wins these contests of proxy wars- dubbed Summit Selection Tournament, the winner of which would be able to have the most say in the direction of global policies for the next four years.
Our heroes of the story are based in a city built upon a 7000 meter long flying battleship called the Masamune, hoping to regain their former territories of the collective Far East that had been portioned off to the various super powers of the world because of their losses in the previous Summit Selection Tournaments. As the 108th Tournament approaches, Masamune Gakuen prepares to bet their last remaining territory to win back all they lost. It is their last chance to win independence and recognition, with nothing left to lose...
