My suggestion is this. [1] Because nothing says "Like father, like son" like the Father-Son Kamehameha. Try saying that 5 times fast.

Edit: I swear I linked an image on these forums before, why can't I do it now? Edit: Eh, close enough.

I don't get a father-and-son relationship from the image.

Yeah, that works. They are an example in-universe, and they look similar and have a similar combat move.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

I don't see it. I guess that works only for people familiar with the work.

I think it would be more clear if it was a pic of Goku and Gohan actually together and out of Super Saiyan mode.

I don't see a difference. Is there a more family-like image?

Sadly, the new one (@6) doesn't work for me either. Honestly, that could be anything... I'll try to look for an image myself to be more constructive than to just shoot down your suggestions, though.

I don't know how you would show this. They would have to look related but in two different generations and have a noticeable similarity between them. I'd say the suggestion looks like the same person if you didn't tell me they were father and son.

Maybe pair a picture of Darth Vader with this?

[up] That could work. Luke and Vader are really iconic.

Zulässig.

As much as I love Star Wars, I'm not really liking the Luke/Vader picture in post 13. I also think it would be good if anyone looking at a picture, even if they've never seen the work before, can understand that one person is the father of the other. (Though, considering it's Star Wars, that's probably a small group that won't know) Something like the one on Overlord Jr., for example.

And also, I know people don't like reusing images; a similar Luke picture is already the In the Blood page image.

And then, double also: If that Luke and Vader picture winds up beating out all the other suggestions... It feels like Turn Out Like His Father would probably be a better fit for the image.

[up] Hmmmm...considering that that's part of the plot of Dark Empire, that pic might actually be a better fit for Turn Out Like His Father.

Dark Empire and In the Blood uses the same image.

[up] Dark Empire's pic could be switched out with the cover of the omnibus.

Considering that Like Father, Like Son is a super trope, any one of the images in the sub trope pages can qualify. That said, we should be getting images for those pages instead of this one. I'm tempted to open a whole slew of discussions on these.
