The Voice (of insert country here)

I assume everyone by now knows what The Voice is, and there might be some currently running (I for one know that the UK is currently running its second season). I myself am a fan of The Voice (of Holland) since the first season.

So yeah, what are your opinions? What tallent of your country or any country did you like the most? Who did you think didn't deserve the title of The Voice (of <insert country here>) of <insert year here>?

I myself didn't agree on the winner of season two of The Voice of Holland (Iris Kroes). Mind you, she wasn't a bad singer, but she also wasn't exactly unique, she didn't really have a distinctive sound. In my opinion, the runner-up was in that regard better (Chris Hordijk).

Thoughts on season 4 of the US version: Judith was probably the best singer, but Danielle still deserved the win.

I watched both seasons of The Voice UK... I really think that Leah Mc Fall deserved to win the second one.

Season 5 starts tonight, guys!

Thoughts on season 5 of the US version: It was great to see someone from Team Adam win, but I mostly lost interest after Caroline left.

I just stopped watching the Dutch edition altogether, although it more had to do with Na No Wri Mo consuming most of my time, and fucking darts being on at the same time.

Is it just me, or is everyone in this thread talking about a different version of the show?

Well, the Voice is pretty much worldwide. It wouldn't surprise me if German watchers would talk about the German edition, or if kids would talk about the Kids edition.

Do you guys have The Voice Kids? I know we have it in The Netherlands.

Nope. Here in North America, we only have the normal US version.

In other news, Season 6 starts February 24, with Usher and Shakira slated to return.

I know the Jamaican side of my family is so excited that Tessanne Chin won. All I see on my Facebook is stuff about her.

Does anyone have any favorite contestants from this season? Mine include Caroline Pennell, Matthew Schuler (at least before his infamous "It's Time" performance), Cole Vosbury, Holly Henry, Nic Hawk (yes, I liked Nic, sue me) and all of Team Adam's final 5 (especially Preston Pohl).

Thoughts on season 6 of the US version: Although it's great to see the right person win (as well as one from a non-Shevine team), several good aspects of the show were removed or changed for no good reason, and the season as a whole feels empty in retrospect.

So, this happened to me tonight.
I have a crush on Adam and Gwen, but I don't want my mom to know I swing that way... Anyway...

My mom: Look at that girl's bob cut on TV!
Me: It's cute, but I wouldn't get it.
My mom: Adam Levine would love you.
Me: No he wouldn't.
Adam Levine(on TV, talking to the contestant on The Voice): I love you.
My mom: See?!? -starts laughing-
Me: -cracking up-

Now that the blinds are over, does anyone have a favorite? If I had to pick one, I'd go with Blessing.

I don't know all their names, but there's definitely a ton more talented artists than any other year so far.

The pairings for the Battle Rounds have been revealed! I'm a bit sad to see Luke & Griffin paired together; hopefully a steal will be used.

What are everyone's thoughts rolling into the live shows this week? My two cents:

• Taylor is the only person on Team Blake who I don't particularly care for.
• Pharrell's team probably isn't as strong as it could've been, but he has my favorite (DaNica).
• Ricky & Taylor are my favorites on Team Gwen (I'd normally love someone who sings OneRepublic and Ne-Yo, but I can't get into Ryan at all).
• Adam's team is the strongest overall (even if I personally would've picked Blessing over Chris).

We vote for Chris over here because he's native to our local area~ My mom's friend works with his dad.

Anyway, I LOVE Matt Mc Andrew. I could just pinch those cheeks. >w< And Gwen looks super attractive at the live shows, holy shit. .////.

I love Matt too, but my ideal set of finalists would be Craig, Luke & DaNica (with Jessie getting the wildcard).

Then again, Craig & Jessie are following me on Twitter, so I might be biased.

I'm not too find of Craig, but eh. Country just isn't my thing.

You could definitely tell Gwen and Ryan had a little thing for each other. xD

For what it's worth, Jessie Pitts has confirmed on Instagram that selection of next week's wildcard will be done via Twitter. Great. This is incorrect!

Thoughts on the season: while I would argue that the right person won, and I'm glad to see the knockouts and live playoffs return, I still feel that the talent pool felt a bit lacking at times.
