DJ Shadow. I've heard good things about him, but... his stuff just doesn't do it for me.
Any craze that involves a song or dance, I just blow off. I just prefer to sit in my cave and glare down with a sour Grinch frown at all the "Call Me Maybe"s of the world.
Somewhat related, but I take a perverse pleasure in reminding Lady Gaga fans that she's only in it for the money, just like everyone else.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatHomestuck. Trolls. Enough said.
Besides that, Earthbound. From what I know of the story, it's amazing, and the gameplay is fairly unprecedented... but the whole game is just so god damned ugly. Ick.
月を見るたび思い出せI honestly can't imagine anyone liking Earthbound for the gameplay. It just looks incredibly standard.
...You do realise that this is the perfect setup for a "Your Mom" joke, right?

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.I have tried to get into anime, but the crazy fans scare me and I don't really understand Japanese culture enough to truly get it, if you know what I mean.
FIMFiction Account MLPMST PageYeah but "I wanna get into your mom, but can't" sounds more like an insult towards yourself.
Just find something that looks fun regardless of culture. There's bound to be something. That, and I'd say a lot of anime fans probably don't "get" Japanese culture anyway.

whateverHanna is Not a Boy's Name. The story sounds cool and the art style is amazing, but I don't want to get invested in something that's going to end abruptly.

I just can't seem to form enough of an emotional connection with any of the characters in any of the series. And dear god, the fucking fairy-sidekicks with their high-pitched voices... What is the point of that?! They're already cute! Why do they need to shriek at me, too?
This is a shame, because I love the sheer potential of the magical girl genre. I love magic and costumes and wands and accessories (even if the Precure ones are all totally meh to me), and I like vague hints of schoolgirl lesbian stuff, and I like to feel that evil's been punished.
So no Precure for me. I'll just pretend Diamond is Not Crash/Unbreakable is a cute witch series that happens to star a pompadour'd delinquent and his bros, and give my love to it instead.

A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!I've said this before but Azumanga Daioh.
It's doesn't look offensive in the least, and I might even enjoy it, but... ehhhhhh... I'm just not motivated at all to watch the show.
It didn't hit me the way Lucky Star did.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!This. (also because it's damn long and I don't need another long archive binge. I already have 2 ever-lengthening ones I've been putting off).

Homestuck: Every time I've sat down to try and get through it, I just wish it was a standard webcomic or something and I didn't have to do anything but read through it. Just need to get in the mood for clicking shit I guess.
Game of Thrones: I suppose this is more through lack of trying. Hell, I have the first season on Bluray. Still can't be arsed to watch it. From what I've heard, it sounds ludicrously oversexed for my tastes anyway.
The Walking Dead: Outside the Telltales game, I honestly couldn't stand to deal with another DRAMA with zombies in it as a gimmick. However, the original comics do pique my interest somewhat.
God Of War: By all accounts, I should love this series. For some reason, the entire visual style of it just bores me. Especially Kratos' design. Far too into the stereotypical muscle bound TESTOSTERONE MAN area for my tastes.
YUUGI WANTS YOU FOR DRINKING BUDDYNothing. There is nothing that I want to like but do not. Either I like things or I do not like things. I'm a bit like Yoda in that regard: do or do not, there is no 'try'.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'That makes sense. Some of us feel disinterested and it just ends there.
whateverHomestuck.
The Walking Dead series, mostly because of my unfortunate "the comic is just so much better" snobbiness.
Oh yeah, and similarly to Topo, Game of Thrones, but only because I just can't get around to watching it.

please don't capitalize my handle. I just don't like it.I've made it like 4/5ths through Homestuck.
An apt metaphor here:
Reading Homestuck is like trying to climb a tower.. but instead of the Rapunzel of Story Resolution at the top, you have Hussie who's busily laying down more stone.
Did I mention that the tower exists in thirty-seven different dimensions?
And coated with veggie oil, which is on multicolored fire.
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.Oh and you may or may not have done this before in the future.
I tried to get into Problem Sleuth, because unlike Homestuck, it looked genuinely interesting in the beginning. But the format was just... ugh.
In fact, a lot of webcomics. I even made a thread about it where people heavily criticized me for hating webcomics. But the webcomic format really makes a lot of good stories inaccessible to me.
Different strokes for different people, I guess.
One of my friends hates having to wait for updates. It agonizes him.
For me, updates are a nice thing, but not utterly needed.
That and I've got so many webcomics that at least one updates any given day.
It's not about the updates. I can keep up just fine once I have to wait for the updates. It's the archive binge part that makes it painful. I have long accepted that I will never be able to catch up with Megatokyo or Misfile, for example.

Ah.
I love archive binges when I have free time.
It's not about the time, either. It is more about poor site design. Even when I have free time, the whole "click button, go down page, reposition mouse, click button again" thing, repeated over a thousand times, becomes unbearably painful.
Has it ever happened to you that you find yourself really wanting to get into but for whatever reason can't. Well what was it and why. Answer me.
