NPC BIO

Name: Navi

Age: Dunno, The damn bird won't tell me.

Gender: Female? I think? Maybe. It's an irritating little robotic Parrot.

Appearance: Gokai Birdbrain

Kind: Canon Character from an AU world (Same world as my Marvy-Chan)

Powers: Supposedly great at finding things, people, places...without ever having seen or been in their proximity. Though mostly just the power to get under Marvelous skin with little effort.

Side: ...Cosmos by way of Marvelous, though not a fighter, primarily remains on the Galleon

World of Origin: AU World of Super Sentai

Personality: Talkative, chatty, doesn't know when to shut up, tends to act a bit put upon, generally nosy, and a little belligerent towards Marvelous.

Bio: Acted as the Red Pirate's navigator until the Cook (Basco's) Betrayal, has remained with Marvelous in the short time since. The damn bird's origins are unknown, at least to Marvelous, beyond the fact Akared had it already when she joined the crew.

So, um, Vita didn't work out, I'm going to be having her get reassigned or something. And I'm replacing her with, um...

  • Name: Arisu
  • Age: 18
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Have two examples!
  • Kind: OC
  • Powers: Arisu is a mage, with the affinity of Scent. This gives her an advantage in learning and casting spells based around Scent, and things that can be connected by concept to scent. Within her affinity, Arisu has learned spells to mask scents and produce scents. One such spell allows her to smell like Lavender at all times. Other spells have more insidious purposes, like masking the scent of dead bodies or blood. Arisu has also learned a set of spells outside of her affinity. These are mainly buffs cast on her knives, accelerating them so that they can cause rather violent explosions on impact. She is quick on-foot and skilled with knifeplay, possessing a great deal of knives tucked into her longcoat. Cooks so poorly it can be considered an offensive skill, and is capable of converting a clean house into a highly cluttered mess(then shoving all of that in a closet if anyone is coming over).
  • Side: Cosmos
  • World of Origin: World of Original Setting
  • Personality: Arisu is a fairly energetic person, not easily tired or stopped. She is also a massive, massive pervert, flirting with cute girls at every opportunity, including her partner, Natsumi. She also frequently teases her partner, often about certain attributes. As well as perving on her partner as frequently as possible. And on other girls. Really, perversity is a major theme of Arisu's. She is more restrained if Natsumi's present, but not by very much. She enjoys spending time having fun, especially if that fun includes cute girls. However, Arisu also has something of a short temper which is easily risen. She is also disgusted by the harm and killing of innocents, and will have nothing but a desire to kill the perpetrators. Arisu is also... unhinged, and very prone to violence. While she won't simply kill or harm anyone, and directs her urge to kill against those who deserve it, Arisu enjoys killing and will sometimes go out to kill murderers or other such people to satisfy her urge to kill if she has not had a job in a long time. Natsumi is easily capable of restraining her from killing, however, though she may be somewhat disappointed if she is not allowed to kill those who are truly terrible.
  • Bio: Arisu awakened one day on the streets of Tokyo, cold and alone and confused. She was only about seven years old, yet did not know how to speak or understand any language. She had no memory of how she had come to be there, or even of her own name, or... much of anything. She was taken in, briefly, by an elderly couple. They named her "Arisu" due to her resemblance to Alice, of Alice in Wonderland. They also helped her begin to learn Japanese. Unfortunately, the couple passed away before any formal adoption could occur shortly after she turned eight, and Arisu had already begun to struggle with her urge to kill. Frightened and bewildered, she fled to the streets again and wandered.
    A few months later, she stumbled onto a strange, white-haired young woman. The woman seemed quite preoccupied, but could not ignore the wandering, confused, and frightened young girl. Deciding to temporarily take Arisu in, the young woman eventually revealed that she was a mercenary. She explained that she could not provide a permanent home, but would care for Arisu for as long as she possibly could. It is with this woman that Arisu received much of her education, including the entirety of her magical education. She also gained a desire to become a mercenary, both to curb her killing urge by being hired to kill those who deserve it, and to make money. After spending two years with this mercenary(who also inadvertently educated her about cute girls), Arisu awoke one day to discover that, as promised, the mercenary had been forced to leave without being able to take her along.
    While deeply saddened, Arisu decided to put the skills she had learned to use... by breaking into the home of a rich family so she could get some food together before going on "bad guy-killing and cute-girl-talking-to" missions. However, she was caught by the thankfully-sympathetic family that owned the house. The Kuroki Mage family, as they were soon revealed to be, began to construct a plan: They would raise Arisu, both out of genuine care for the girl and also to provide their daughter, Natsumi, with a bodyguard and retainer. However, they did not expect that Natsumi would be swayed by Arisu's will to become a mercenary who kills those who truly deserve it.
    At sixteen, both girls suddenly vanished, later re-emerging as a mercenary duo, offering their services to those who needed their aid. While their mission repertoire briefly expanded to include missions that are slightly less well-intentioned as long as they don't involve killing innocent people(kidnapping, as long as the target is returned unharmed, was once a kind of mission they would accept until a certain incident), they have mostly stuck to only accepting missions that adhered to their ideals. Natsumi has become aware of several things since meeting Arisu: That Arisu has an urge to kill people, and is a massive pervert. Arisu, on the other hand, curbs her urge to kill by seeking out yakuza and murderers and killing them herself if it gets to be to much to easily handle. As for her perversion, well, Arisu took a page out of her temporary caretaker's book and likes to pick up cute girls.

Alright, you're accepted, though keep these two things in mind.

  1. Backstory needs to be modified to fit with the Cosmos recruiting (unless that is to be done IC)
  2. Make sure you don't get too overboard with the perviness. That's not my ruling, that's TV Tropes'.

OK, if we're resetting a few characters then here's me replacing my original SI sheet:

  • Name: Jonathan
  • Age: 20
  • Sex: Male (at first)
  • Appearance: Short and slight, to the point of possibly even looking like a girl from behind. Short, scruffy brown hair and sad looking brown eyes.
  • Powers: Gets turned into a Unison Device as a result of picking up Reinforce Zwei’s Power Key.
  • Faction: Cosmos
  • Personality: In a word: Shy and introverted, at least until you can break the shell. If you manage that, then you're dealing with an individual who's probably slightly too hyperactive for their own good or anyone else's, but also slightly distrusting of people who want to help.
  • Bio: Jon's reclusive and introverted nature can be traced back to being abused by members of his peer group at school. As a result, he's picked up a certain distrust of people who honestly want to befriend or just help him, in case they turn around and backstab him as well. As a result he turned to the Internet for an escape once he finished school, although getting out of the house and off to college helped immensely in making him a bit more of an open and level human being. And the rest... well, that's what we're here to find out, isn't it?

Name: Celty Sturluson & Shooter

Age: Celty can no longer recall either her own age or Shooters, after being parted from her head, likely at least a few hundred years. It’s only been about ten though since her head was stolen.

Gender: Female (inhuman, Dullahan) and....headless likely male horse that’s taken on the form of a motorbike

Appearance: Celty and Shooter

Kind: Canon(s)

Powers:

'Celty'

Celty is slightly stronger than humans (on average, though back home there was at least one several degrees stronger than she was), and is capable of an unnatural level of physical regeneration (quick but not instant takes time and cannot regrow lost or missing limbs). This has rendered her effectively ageless though she can be killed. She is capable of controlling the shadows around her, to an extent, especially when agitated, and is also capable of forming physical matter from their substance (Her catsuit, scythe, etc.) Her form of sight (lacking a head) is strange, and not even well understood by she herself, and is hard to block as there is not a physical ‘head’ with eyes to cover. Large amounts of bright light, while not really painful to her, will SEVERELY hamper her ability to use shadows.

'Shooter'

Shooter is Celty’s horse...or Bike, but really horse. He, like her, is a creature of myth, and is capable of much the same as she, control shadows to a limited extent, reforming himself from the shadows that make up his physical body (i.e., Horse to motorcycle, to Horse and buggy) He does not issue the usual ‘noises’ associated with motorcycles, being surprisingly quiet when Celty rides him, though when surprised, agitated, happy, etc. he may whinny or neigh. Which has led to a few odd looks.

Side: Cosmos

World of Origin: World of Durarara!! (Japan, Ikebukuro District of Tokyo)

Personality: Celty is...oddly pretty normal, and down to earth. Generally confident and optimistic, Celty tends to support those she considers friends, though she is a little..people shy, at least when it comes to forming associations. As she’s never quite sure how anyone will take to her not quite human nature. Wears a motorcycle helmet in public, everywhere she goes, as a method of hiding her rather unique nature. She enjoys watching movies, surfing, riding (Shooter, in either of his forms) And is...more than a little leery of cops. She’s also somewhat afraid of the concept of life on other planets, and aliens in general. Finding the concept a bit terrifying. Her former housemate, Shinra...really didn’t help with this. Celty’s also incapable of actual speech without her head, and uses a pda most commonly for communication.

Shooter is protective of Celty, and generally apathetic towards others, though tends to strut (wheelie and such tricks) when complemented. He’s fairly intelligent, and can get a little jealous at times if Celty shows interest in other modes of conveyance.

Bio: Celty is a dullahan, a creature from Celtic lore who guides souls to the afterlife. Not much is known about her early life. The earliest point in her history that is known is the day she woke up to find her head was missing. She remembered her name, her abilities, and what she was but not much else. Celty still felt a faint connection to her head and used it to travel across Ireland in pursuit of it. Eventually, her search required her to cross the sea to japan and so she stowed away on a ship inbound to the small Island nation. She is eventually discovered by a young Shinra Kishitani who promptly brought this to the attention of his father, Shingen.

Celty and Shingen worked out a deal where he would keep Celty's secret while she would allow him to perform a full autopsy. Celty agreed and went through with the procedure but eventually passed out from the pain. Once she arrived in Japan, Celty would continue her search while acting as Shinra's caretaker when Shingen was away. Her search has gone on for over ten years, Cosmos contacted her shortly after a blow up in Ikebukuro (the District in Tokyo where she and to her occasional ire Shinra have settled) caused her unique nature to become more widely known. Celty jumped at the offered assistance in locating her head in exchange for her assistance in thwarting Chaos, and has in the time since coming to Cosmos world taken up a job as a courier, and gotten herself a small loft apartment.

Eh, I think the best reference I've seen is the flash..., it's not Wolverine, not even probably a third of wolverines, but it's enough that the Autopsy was..horrible, given they were having to cut, and recut, areas as Shingen and Shinra worked. And obviously, it won't regrow her head, ever, nor if I recall any other limb if she actually loses it.

Hm... I'm a little iffy on her pseudo-immortality, even though this is the sort of RPG where killing isn't allowed unless it's accepted by the person whose character is getting killed in question.

I guess you're accepted until I start seeing problems arise in the RPG.

I'd be willing to knock it down to general agelessness if that makes you more comfortable, the only reason I left it like that was, well, DRRR itself danced around the subject of is she/isn't she, beyond that if her head was destroyed, she felt that the rest of her would immediately follow no matter how distant she was from it.

Hello. I found this and it piqued my interest.

Name: Thomas 'Cobalt' Jaspers

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Appearance: Your usual Caucasian with slightly tanned skin and spiky brown hair. He has empty eye sockets instead of eyes (will explain later), and a birthmark that is three spots in a curved line underneath his right eye... Socket. His outfit usually includes a dark blue bandanna around his neck, and pale blue jacket with darker sleeves rolled up to his elbows, having black and teal striped on the cuffs and a checkered pattern on the hood and on a circular bit of cloth patched onto the top of the right side of the chest. Other than that he wears a checkered wristband, pale brown jeans, a white tee with a black and white bullseye, and navy sneakers. He is around five foot six.

Kind: OC

Powers: He grew up in a family of mages and magicians, gaining magic that enables him to mess with minds and create illusions. The ways he can mess with minds include creating and altering dreams, nightmares or thoughts, weak mind control and slightly altering emotions. One spell he was taught as a child enables him to see without eyes.

Side: He doesn't really consider himself on either side and just assists whoever he feels like helping at the moment.

World of Origin: I've never really thought this out, actually. I just thought him up on the spot when I first created him.

Personality: Usually very hateful and pessimistic, he is easily angered and doesn't trust others or cooperates easily. Very rarely he can be caught in a better mood and can be a bit cheerful and joking then. Thomas is also amoral and can become violent quickly when angered.

Bio: Thomas was born on June 12th, 1998, into a family of magic users, with very strict rules on discipline and punishment. One night as a young child he had peeked into a book of spells owned by his father, and was punished by the removal of his eyes. Later on, Thomas ran from home and came upon a normal family in a normal town, liing with them up until about a year before. Over the years he had grown into the type of guy he was today, due to being hated and bullied about how he was different from his lack of eyes and ability to use magic, whenever in public and even at home.

If the spacing is messed up, I'm not very skilled in HTML or whatever coding and such tis forum uses.

Now to the meat and potatoes. I'm a little iffy on the mind control, even if it is weak. Other than that, I didn't really find a problem with the sheet.

Hm... Not sure. On one hand, I can take your word for it, accept you, and if you do mind control on a whim or more times than what is considered rare, we're having a serious talk that may lead to a booting out. On the other hand, I could say "no" out of fear that you will (ab)use mind control. I'm leaning to the former option, though.

There's one thing that's really bugging me about that one that I kind of need to mention honestly... If he's from another world (which he kind of has to be, since there's no magic on our world and thus he wouldn't have been born into a mage family), how would he have no ties at all to either of the factions? Since in order to be brought into our world he'd need to have sworn allegience to either Cosmos or Chaos...

He also has literally the worst ever personality for roleplaying (no ethics, no morals, no attachment to anything, and unpredictable and short tempered—essentially Chaotic Evil verging on Stupid Evil) combined with tampering with people's minds. What you have, right there, is a character that is only fit for trolling and being a jerkass.

This looks interesting! Let's hope I formatted everything right.

~~~
"We must always give it our best! …That wasn't it, was it?"
Name: Hubert Oswell
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: Yes.
Kind: Canon
Powers: Hubert is built like a Glass Cannon: hard hitting and quick on his feet, but easily knocked away or incapacitated once you catch him. His weapon is a modular dualblade — a double ended lance (though it looks more like two swords on a stick) that can be disassembled into a pair of pistols that fire magical bullets. The change between weapon forms can happen in less than a second, making it possible to mix long-range gun skills with close quarter blade techniques.
Dualblade Assault Artes: His dualblade skills involve a lot of spinning and quick-stepping, and a few moves are borrowed from sword techniques. His more complex artes are supplemented with elemental magic, but these skills can only be performed after he gains some momentum over his opponent first through basic strikes.
Twinshot Burst Artes: Because of the magical nature of the bullets, most of them lose power and fade away around 75 feet.
  • Flare Shot: A single burst of fire from one pistol. Can be chained.
  • Aqua Bullet: A double burst of high-pressure water.
  • Aerial Barrage: One shot strikes the ground, making it erupt and send the target into the air (if it is light enough), followed by a series of rapid shots as the target falls down.
  • Rolling Thunderbolt: Jumping high into the air and aiming at the ground, Hubert fires lightning from both his pistols. It splits and covers a medium-sized area.
  • Covering fire: Hubert fires homing bullets while jumping backwards. Used defensively.
(He vehemently denies that his fighting style has anything to do with the comics he read as a kid.)
Hubert also has a pair of healing techniques under his belt: Antidote heals status ailments, while Healing Wind repairs moderate wounds on people within a small area.
Side: Cosmos
World of Origin: Ephinea (Tales of Graces)
Personality: A frosty exterior — to the public eye. Lieutenant Hubert Oswell is a sight that commandeers respect, and though he is unfriendly and unapproachable, people who spend time with him quickly realize that he is just as human as anyone else. He denies his soft side whenever people bring it up, much like any other Tsundere, preferring the cool image he has built for himself. (Certain individuals make it their goal to break this facade and get him flustered over a variety of embarrassing things.)
A young man of strict order and dignity, Hubert gets frustrated when things — even small things — don't work his way. His usual composure can also be broken by moments of haughtiness, or when he berates people for not meeting his expectations. He has great tactical prowess and a sharp eye for detail. It's hard to earn his trust. His manner of speaking is quite refined; it calls to mind the speech of nobles. He knows the power of connections and first impressions, and carries himself with proper posture and purposeful strides. Nevertheless, Hubert still has a thing for superheroes — especially the Super Sentai Sunscreen Rangers. Not that he would admit it.
Bio: Second child to the Lord of Lhant, Hubert was given up for adoption by a certain Mr. Oswell, a wealthy and influential man in the desert continent of Strahta. At the beginning he was the shy and sensitive kid who would always get looped into his older brother's shenanigans — nearly getting him and his friends killed at one point in time. His bitterness towards his old family's choices (especially when his brother, the rightful heir, ran away to pursue some foolish dream of becoming a knight) and his new one's relentless expectations only served to make him cold towards the world. But in the seven years it took for him to reclaim his hometown of Lhant, Hubert has taken several levels in Badass (and a few in Jerkass). At 17, he became the youngest lieutenant of the Strahtan military.
After getting called, he accepted to rally troops for Cosmos, laying low at first in unfamiliar surroundings and gathering information.
