So, how should we do this? Play-by-post, or IRC? IRC has the advantage of being closer to a tabletop with the dice-rolling and regular sessions, but Pb P doesn't require everyone to be there at the same time. I'm fine with either.
If it's Changeling The Lost we're talking about, I'd rather have IRC. Pbp almost never goes well in the long run, in my experience.
Maybe we should do a separate thread for this.
I'd love to play Changeling but I suspect my timezone may drop me from any irc games.
Gimme yer lunch money, dweeb.Always wanted to play Alternity again, but no one seems to know it.

I'll set up a thread for the game, then.
Running a game of Maid RPG sounded like a great idea to me, until I realised that it would entail spending five hours a week in a room with the kind of sickos who'd want to play Maid RPG.
Eclipse Phase has a pretty awesome setting, so I want to run a game of that. Maybe I can manage to give the players a bit of freedom, just wandering around the solar system and doing whatever they want.
Also, I've been meaning to run at least a one-shot of Pokemon Tabletop Adventures.
I really want to play Paranoia, but I have already read all of the adventures that I own and none of my friends are creative enough to make some up, so I am stuck with G Ming. I would like to play online, but I only have a tablet and I can't install the software used by the main online Paranoia community. I suppose I could play through Tvtropes, if enough people are interested, though.
Do what I do. Don't have a system.
I run paranoia using a Zodiac Die, an Alphabet die, and color die. I have ways to determine if it's a success, but the players don't know it. And not knowing why or WHAT you are rolling makes things so much more funny.
System-wise, I use Roll to Dodge style dice rolling, but with a d20 and taking into account people's stats.
But what does that have to do with anything? My problem is that I am the only one who can GM it among my group.

I have some vague ideas for a game set in alt-history Venice. Probably using the Fate system.
Gimme yer lunch money, dweeb. Why are you worried about the rules if you are running Paranoia? The rules are exactly what you/Friend Computer say they are. Contesting them is treason. Treason is punishable by death.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I just said that I wasn't worried about rules. I'm worried about being the only one in my group willing to run the game and thus not getting to play it. Although it is extremely fun to be the GM in Paranoia, I would like to try it as a player.
I have no background in roleplaying whatsoever, but I want to, solely for Paranoia and Dont Rest Your Head.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableHaving spent the last couple days reading the Legends of the Wulin corebook, I really want to try it. Unfortunately, our group has an impressive backlog of games we plan on running already, so it'll probably be awhile.
I've never actually played a tabletop game, but if I did, I'd play Strike Legion. I mean, fuck, it's like TV Tropes incestuously impregnated itself and spit out one of the most ridiculous(ly awesome) games this planet has ever seen.
Exalted would probably be my next choice, largely for the same reasons as Strike Legion.

Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-Wow that game is insane. Remind me never to show it to anyone in my gaming group, I have trouble making challenges for 'normal' Space Marines.
On topic: Finding a load of things on 40k fan sites that my Deathwatch players would just shrug off, but is still pretty nuts, has made me want to run Rogue Trader at some point.
RT's pretty fun. Though the main caveat of the game (Especially the pre-made adventures) is that your P Cs venture anywhere without anything bigger than a tiny escort. Which is sort of silly when the game gives the ability to have entire battalions in their own ships. Why WOULDN'T they venture out with an escort of 1000 soldiers? The pre-package adventure in the corebook falls victim to it: all the combat encounters they designed fall appart if the players remember "Oh, we got a ship with 60k+ crewmembers and an unlimited number of lasguns in the cargo hold". Which is an issue especially if you are going for a more "Explorer / Treasure Hunter" game type than a pure commerce / military endeavor type game where they end up never getting their hands dirty, but I found that got sort of boring fast.
Still, it's a fun game, but one that does require a lot of planning.

It took me long time find anyone interested in playing Witch Girls Adventures. It's a pretty amateurish at times but I really appreciate that someone trying to make role-playing games more accessible to a wider audience.
Got to give Rouge Trader a try. I have friends said that they would be interested in a game but nothing develops

hashtagsarestupidWhat makes it more accessible than other rpgs?
Is designed to appeal to 'tween' girls. And I appreciate that as a twentysomething college-age male.
Seriously though the media could be more inclusive to younger and female players.
