If permission is granted, I like the new image. If not, the old one is fine.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. It's much better. Also, licensing is in English.

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerFor those people not maniacal about reading every single post made in the Wiki & Forums section: Here is the original reason for the thread.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI like the new one more. We should get permission for it.
I must be cruel, but to be kind That bad may begin, and worse be left behindThe bluehaired fairy looks like an Innocent Fanservice Girl, not sexy.
In the context of Innocent Fanservice Girl, fanservice means sexy...
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableA character doesn't have to be seductive to be sexy.
Evil is my favorite color.Innocent fanservice girls are sexy.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I think this◊ would be better.
With that visible cleavage, I don't think it's acceptable...
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. This is the source, by the way, so again, we need permission for it.

I prefer the new pic to that one, honestly. There are some artists linked on the page, but I doubt we'd be able to get permission to use their works, especially the one that's selling all of them as prints.
^^^ That bar seems really low. Can you elaborate?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I think the current one is the best of the suggested, though the others aren't really bad either.
I don't see how it's not acceptable.
Check out my fanfiction!Yeah I think of unacceptable as, like, bare nipples. A somewhat low neckline isn't going to scandalize very many grandmothers.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Alrighty, maybe I was being a tad hasty with that earlier post. If it's alright with everyone, then I won't raise any further fuss with it.
That said, I prefer the current page image.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Current is best.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerActually, at a second glance I think I prefer lexicon's suggestion on the grounds that the anatomy is better.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableWe vote for the current image... For rather obvious reasons. (We choose the image after all)
"It's better to burn out... THAN TO FADE AWAY!"I dislike the replacement. Tropes about a character being attractive are supposed to be in-universe as a general rule, yeah? I mean sexy fairy is not in and of itself a trope :\ So the picture should make it clear that sexiness is part of the fairy's character and be evident through body-language, expression, etc (other characters reacting to the fair would be ideal).
She is wearing a translucent teddy. Lingerie pretty much means "supposed to look sexy" don't you think?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.^ I did not even notice it was transparent until you said so. She looks like a generic fairy to me, if a little on the creepy side.
These sorts of tropes are a magnet for pile of "X type of thing I found attractive" misuse, I thing we really ought to be careful about choosing a picture that is not going to add to that.
I don't think the fact that the fairy may also be subjectively sexy (in addition to being an objectively "sexy fairy") should be a strike against it. Bad examples of anything will show up, and should be removed.
She is more overtly supposed to be hot than Disney!Tinkerbell is, I think. And both are hot women with wings... not all fairies are.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. That's really overthinking it. We don't need an image where everyone fawns over the character to state the in-universe part—the image barely does anything for these cases of misuse. A % note works better.
She's pretty obviously supposed to be pretty attractive and seductive. No one is fawning over the Evil Is Sexy pic, but she looks like a seductive Woman In Black and can't possibly give the wrong impression.

Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
The pic on Fairy Sexy was recently changed without a thread. The old pic wasn't very good, but the new pic is a pixiv illustration that we may need to get permission for. Old vs. new, respectively.
EDIT: The pixiv page is in Japanese, so someone will need to translate to address the permission issue.
