This page has no image because pages with medium specific subpages are not supposed to have images.

Might as well lock it then.

It's okay, we can discuss options.

The reason we leave the main page blank is so that it's "medium-agnostic", but I can see us putting up a real life image. It's not a medium.

We did that for Paranoia Fuel. I like the second image in the OP; smaller is better, as there's a size restriction of 350px on images.

Historic-costume geek speaking here. Neither of those is particularly pimped-out for the time period they're from. In fact, they're both actually quite plain for a court dress of that era. To me, pimped out means "extravagantly decorated and elaborate, compared to other dresses of the same era."

I was kind of thinking the same. It's not particularly pimped.

Here are a couple suggestions. The second is from a reality show, not sure if that counts. It is one of the documentary style ones, so the dress is really what this girl would have worn regardless.

The first one counts. Even for Elizabethan, that's elaborate. The second, again, is quite simple and plain for the time period it is from.

That's right. If you want it pimped out you would have to go with The Tudors instead of The Other Boleyn Girl. There's one similar to your examples◊ and another illustrated◊. I think it would be better to go with another time period though. Perhaps something from Marie Antoinette? There's [1]◊ and [2]◊. There's also The Duchess [3]◊. Although I think something fantasy rather than historical would be better. Star Wars has the senate one◊.

I'd support 10.1, it's a painting of a real person, so it's not medium specific.

Check your subpages, guys. There's already a good pic on the Real Life page, unless everyone's determined to replace it.

We're talking about the Main page, not the Real Life subpage.

I don't see a need to put a pic on the Main/ page; the suggested pic is the same kind of image that's on the RL page, and finding someone living that's not from a work and wearing a blingy dress would just be another kind of RL image.

In favor of Amidala's from Star Wars, as there's already a different picture for the Film subpage. Here's the Senate Dress◊ without a watermark and if that doesn't work, she had a huge wardrobe.

Doesn't Pimped-Out Dress have a subpage for everything, including Real Life? Speaking as a newbie, how would that be avoided for such pages? With a picture of Trope-tan?
