So Koro sensei could extract the tentacles without her permission... boy, she is going to be enraged next chapter, that is going to be painful to see. And Koro sensei must explain now what exactly happened to Aguri.

[up][up][up]The plea for help in the last chapter leads me to believe that she'll suck it up and get over it.

Hilarious as this development was, I can't help but agree with R Bomber that it has a lot of Unfortunate Implications.

...oh what the hell, it was bloody hilarious, I'll just ignore the implications.

And Karma and Nakamura's response was expected and impeccable.

So what if he went into full bloodlust mode and looked like he was sucking the soul out of that girl. You don't have to assume anything.

Disclaimer: I've never read Negima, so I'm not sure what the implications in that scenario were.

The moral of Assassination Classroom: all problems can be solved with sex and violence.

@Shiny Tsukkomi: I bring up Negima since that series basically codifies the use of Pactios as The All-Solving Hammer. In fact, it was kind of meme that Negi can solves most of his problems by finding the right girl and snogging her out of her mind. Sometimes literally.

Also, the Unfortunate Implication mostly come from the fact that Nagisa, Nice Guy he is, basically... subdues Kayano by forcing intrusive, intimate contact on her. Also, the whole Sacred First Kiss issues. If the author can handle this maturely, then fine, but the problem is more often than not, many authors just... failed at resolving matters like this in a way that can satisfy Westerners. No offense on Westerners. Or Easterners, for that matter.

Actually, if Nagisa just sincerely apologizes after things already cooled down, and Kayano is mature enough to accept his apology, I will be quite satisfied.

She's trying to kill someone and I'm supposed to care about how important she thinks her first kiss is?

I still fail to see all the shipping signs. Is it anything in particular or is it just standard main male protagonist needs to get together with main female protagonist (term used very loosely in this situation)? Because I don't see why I should care.

[up]To be fair, she's trying to kill a perverted tentacle monster.

[up][up]"She's trying to kill someone and I'm supposed to care about how important she thinks her first kiss is?"

She's trying to kill someone and I'm supposed to believe that all this was stopped just with a kiss?

[up][up][up][up]"The moral of Assassination Classroom: all problems can be solved with sex and violence."

Pff, I wish. There is no sex or violence in Ass Class, but only role models that solve all the difficulties in the most simple, quick and easy possible way.

Now that's more questionable, but the idea is that it just momentarily surprised her, which released the control of the tentacles and then she began to react like she normally would.

Well with Nagisa calming down Kayano, the main problem of the arc is (probably) over.

Yep. Everything is going to be peachy keen, everybody is going to stay best buddies with each other, and everyone is gonna gear up to save Christmas from Shiro after listening to Koro-sensei's tragic yet somewhat predictable backstory. I'll be a tad disappointed if that's what ends up going down.

I found the anime's entire soundtrack the other day. There's two songs listed that strongly suggest that the adaptation is going to make it to the island hotel.

Chapter 133 spoilers are out.

Okay so, our God of Death was fake, and the real one was Korosensei!

Suddenly how the last one failed in his targets and how Korosensei is so apt at giving tips how to kill him makes a lot of sense that it's not just at super-creature context. Holy. And that no one knew what he was like, it was fair game an assumption that someone could have impersonated his title. For all the "real God of Death" theories thrown around, I don't think anyone actually pinpointed our octopus teacher out. This image really does look like him now even...

Mad props, Matsui. I don't know how you do it but it's fantastic.

Other spoilers apparently include Akari saying that she wasn't sure she could return to normal student life with everyone after deceiving them for a whole year. Nagisa reassures her it's okay and she cries from his words.

Shiro's face is revealed.

Images of those over here.

The anime is taking a break this week, but the raw for Episode 0 is out. I think most of it is just a ridiculous story that Koro-sensei made up.

Chapter 133: I think Black hoodie guy is probably either a modified G.o.D. or Takaoka.

  • Everything that didn't surprise me: Koro-sensei is gonna die this March. The world is still in fact somehow in danger regardless. Nagisa is not a sexual deviant. Kayano is going to be ok.
  • Everything that I didn't see coming: Koro-sensei was the original G.o.D, and Shiro seems to be missing an eye.

So this all happened because she's basically a reasonable person.

This thing with Kayano made me wonder if Korosensei doesn't actually want to destroy the world, but will be forced to by the tentacles and he can only hold out until March.

Yeah, I have to give props to Kayano for not jumping to conclusions so quickly. Those tentacles are pretty nasty to the mind, so why do people insist on implanting them near the head instead of somewhere else?

Maybe he's a conditional time bomb. The tentacles rooted in his "heart" will go berserk and blow up the planet if Koro-sensei just stands there and lets himself get killed, and he has to be assassinated with the intent to stay alive in order for that not to happen.

As someone who writes fanfic for Assassination Classroom, I find myself torn. We're finally getting answers to some of the big questions. Of course, I came up with my own answers long ago and wrote stories around them, so I feel a bit unsettled. I knew that the canon explanations would be different when I wrote that stuff, though I managed to guess a surprising number of things correctly, including that Koro-sensei's death is inevitable, and that he didn't intend to let them know until the very end. Given that, I thought I'd be okay with accepting the split, but I'm surprisingly not. I guess it'll just take time to reconcile my feelings, because I still love the true, original version.
