See, the problem with the having just the first two panels of the VG Cats one is that it makes little sense unless you know what the notebook does. The last panel, on the other hand, is just terrifying.

5. I just see Santa drinking something in the first, and someone who definitely doesn't look much like Santa in the second one.

The first and second, or just second, panels of the original image are fine. 5.1 also works because it's clearly a hip-flask shape.

I also like the images in #5.

It's obvious that he's drinking alcohol, which goes against Santa's squeaky clean image. Give the tropers some credit here. Plus it's textless, which is a bonus in my book.

Speaking of which, maybe this trope should be renamed? It shares a name with the movie Bad Santa.

The images in 11 are decent, but I still prefer Willie Stokes.

I tried proposing a name change for the trope, but unfortunately there are currently 100 repair shop threads.

I like 11.1. Also, to the earlier argument about the VG Cats pic: I doubt very seriously that anyone is going to see Santa holding something with Death in the title and think it's a good thing, especially with the dissonance caused by him singing that song.

That looks more like Badass Santa than this trope.

If the reason you want this renamed is that it shares its name with a work, then it's not a sufficient argument.

Ahem, getting back on topic, I'm still liking the images in post #5. Willie is unkempt, surly, and obviously drinking alcohol, which distinguishes it nicely from Badass Santa.

I'd assume the cap was shrunk while the number of threads was still under the old cap, but over the new one.
