Anything you want to share that you are thankful for this Thanksgiving?

Don't be a spoilsport and post just to say you can't think of anything.

For me, it's how I'm actually able to take my future seriously and not give up trying (which happened to be my frequent fault). There have been setbacks this year and some disappointments, but there was development for sense of responsibility and some outlook for what to do after this year. I'm not sure how next year is going to be, but I've decided not to run from it and instead deal with it. And I'm more willing to take action without being so afraid of it.

I'm also thankful for having avenues to discuss and share.

I only really became active on the forums this year, and on top of that I returned to the US and got to meet up and go to cons with some other internet "friends" (I use quotes because I still think it's questionable how real a friendship can be without physical interaction, which I have now achieved so yay!), so I'm thankful for the chance to socialize and meet a bunch of cool people.

I'm thankful that I got out of a really boring job into one that gave me a renewed sense of purpose. I feel like I've learned more about myself and about life in general from the few months I've been back than the whole year-and-a-half I was in Mauritius previously. So, I'd say my life has really taken a turn for the better, and for that I am truly thankful.

I would have to say my friends. Its good to have people who make shitty days seem perfectly reasonable. And my girlfriend too, but she's lumped in with friends. tongue

And my parents too. Oh, and leading a middle-class lifestyle where my needs and wants are met to some degree or level.

  1. Healthy body and mind - I have no defects.
  2. Physique - I am taller and all around bigger than average. It adds to the self-esteem, I guess.
  3. Wealthy and supportive family - Well, wealthy is pushing it a little bit, but money was not a real problem in my life.
  4. Luck - No serious accidents or disasters happened to me yet.
  5. Time - I am glad that I wasn't born during World War II or Korean War.

The fact that I made myself come back to these forums after disappearing? Seriously, you guys are pretty cool. Would have regretted it if I did what I usually do.

I am thankful for my intelligence, along with determination at homework, and to gain a good deal of weight! (Don't worry folks. One of these days, I'll trump the ol' meerkat metabolism.)

I'm thankful for my parents, who gave me a great childhood and upbringing, which I'm also thankful for. Also thankful for being born in the country at this time that I was, though I'm not entirely sure who to direct my thanks to for that. Thankful for Touhou and all my other favourite pieces of fiction, for being there. And finally, really thankful for all the avatars people have been sharing with me.

You know, I couldn't think of anything until just now (I could use the usual responses, but I like to have original ones).

I'm thankful that I wasn't made to say what I'm thankful for at Thanksgiving dinner. Because that would've been awkward.
