The multiverse is such a gorgeous place, wouldn't you agree? Such potential everywhere in every single corner. Golden, glowing warriors fighting for good, black, dark villains struggling for evil. Innocent children running through the fields of flowers and others struggling to live another day. Endless wars. Eternal peace.

I love it all.

But you know what? I love it all so much, I can give them more. The power I have is astronomical. I can give them whatever they wanted. Eternal life. Happiness. Love. Anything they wanted in the palm of their hand.

But you know what? It won't be that easy.

No. They have to PROVE themselves.

In my world, there is no such things as 'free hand outs'. There are no such things as 'the easy way' and 'genosity.'

No, they must EARN it.

So here we are my friends. Warriors, villains, innocent bystanders from various dimensions, from various worlds and various time lines. Unique powers, different mindsets. Fighting styles. All gathered in one place. All fighting for the same thing: Anything their heart desires.

Are you smart enough to last? I sure hope you are.

Let's begin.

....

This is a tournament style fighting, similar to the Original Character Tournaments hosted on Deviantart from time to time. But now it's your turn to fight this time, with a character created of your own accord. Characters from your mind will fight with other peoples characters for not only their lives, but a wish for anything they can possibly imagine.

Are you game?

I'm warning you right now everyone: there is a very, very good chance your character will die or be kicked out of the tournament. I don't want that to detract from someone joining on the chance your character will lose, I want this to be fun for everyone involved, win or lose, it is just a game after all. So again, if your character loses, I do not want to hear any drama as a result of it. The winners will be decided in a manner between me and 3 other judges. People will lose, people will win, and we'll just have to accept it. It's nothing personal, at all.

Okay, with that out of the way, let's get to the character pages:

  • Name: Self explanatory.
  • Age: Again, self explanatory.
  • Appearance: You're sensing a pattern right now, aren't you?
  • Powers: Are there any powers your character contains that are unique to him or his universe? Does he have no powers? In that case, how does he or she or even it fight?
  • History: This is a big one. I want you to come up with something detailed and descriptive, completely forgoing the initial idea that you could very well lose. I want you to give me something to work with, along with everyone else. Think of it in your mind that your character has all ready won. What has your character done in his world? What will he or she do when he wins? Does he have any family? Is he good or bad? You be the judge.
  • Personality: Again, self explanatory, and do be descriptive here as well, as Character Development DOES become a central theme at one point in the match.

All I ask is NO OVERPOWERED CHARACTER MARY SUES. I cannot stress this enough. Make them balanced, make them powerful, make them flawed. Other than that, the rules will be put in the discussion page when we have enough fighters.

Let the games begin!

Define overpowered in this setting. Is the average strong person like someone from Halo or someone from Touhou?

All right well maybe not over powered, since it's bound to happen in this universe(s). Basically, make it so your character can lose, has flaws and weaknesses and stuff. It's not fun if your character is impervious to all attacks. Also, don't make their powers TOO powerful, like...the ability to wipe out a continent with a flick of his wrist. Powerful, but not TOO powerful.

I could be interested in this sort of thing... How many powers are we allowed to give our characters? 1-3 or more?

Here goes nothing.

  • Name: Cad

  • Age: 22

  • Appearance: Human. Male. White. Dark hair. Dark eyes. Not particularly attractive. Wears a dark green trench coat and a stetson of the same colour.

  • Power: His only supernatural power is the ability to create a single duplicate of himself. He has difficulty controlling this ability at times. The duplicate is sapient (indeed, Cad and Other Cad argue constantly) and cannot be truly killed; Cad can simply recreate him. Because of this, to Other Cad's dismay, Cad often uses him as cannon fodder during fights. In combat, Cad uses dual laser pistols as well as a great variety of homemade explosives (including fire, electric, ice and spike grenades.) He's not the strongest fighter, instead relying on trickery and frustrating his opponent to win.

  • History: Born on Earth in the 29th century, Cad eventually became a gun for hire. He performed many jobs throughout the solar system, working for all sorts of unsavory types. Despite this, he does have a heroic side (which often manifests in Other Cad.) During an attempted assassination in a chemical factory on Io, a shootout started. During the firefight, Cad was accidentally covered in a combination of different, strange chemicals. The chemicals gave him his duplicating ability. Cad has viewed his power, and Other Cad, as a nuisance ever since. His parents are still alive and well but Cad often forgets to write to them (to his annoyance, Other Cad always has to write for him.) Cad's reason for joining the tournament are simple; we wants all the money, drink and girls possible. Other Cad would rather have world peace but probably isn't going to get it.

  • Personality: Cad is arrogant, sarcastic, hedonistic and egotistical. Other Cad is kind and empathetic (a manifestation of Cad's hidden heroic side) but is also quite sarcastic, cynical and meek. The two of them argue almost constantly due to their different takes on almost everything. Other Cad insists that they are the same person, whereas Cad insists they are completely separate.

Sounds interesting. I'll give it a go:

  • Name: Uhgg Tharn
  • Age: 27
  • Appearance: Male. Thick unibrow and a head of thick brown hair. Wears heaps of animal pelts that form a thick armour around him. His shoulders pads are adorned with large pointed teeth, and he often charges into other people with them. He is quite tanned, and has a grubby appearance.
  • Powers: Is eight foot tall and has the strength to match. He also has a large, enchanted club. Spikes grow out of the club, and if anything is cut off of it, it grows back.
  • History: Uhgg is from a species that was known on earth as giants. Hailing from the age of myths at the start of humanity, Uhgg and his tribe are the last remaining giants on the planet, as the rest have been hunted to extinction. As the strongest hunter of his tribe, Uhgg is fighting in the tournament for the protection of his people. If he wins, he will wish for a safe area for his people to live.
  • Personality: Uhgg doesn't trust humans, and is secretly afraid of them, which he tries to keep hidden at all times. He is quite stupid, even for a giant, and is easily tricked. However, when he is sure he can trust someone, Uhgg will give his all to protect them. Really likes small animals.

  • Name: Michael Skye (nicknames include "The Knight of Sacrifices")
  • Age: 23
  • Appearance: Michael has obviously led a very hard life, going by how scarred up he is. Some of these, he put on himself in desperate times, others come from close battles. There are some hints that he dyed his naturally dark blond hair black, and his gray eyes seem dark, perpetually set into unhappiness. He might've qualified for Bishonen once, but he has a collection of scars on his face, including across the forehead, one going right next to his right eye, and a cross shaped one on his cheek. He always wears a suit of very dark blue armor, with some hints there might be a mechanical portion to it, such as numerous vents that release bright gray steam at all times during a fight. It looks like its pretty hefty armor. The helmet has a piece hanging over the eyes, and a tuft of gray hair hanging down from the back of the helmet. It would appear he also carries a shield on his right forearm shaped somewhat like a sword. The chest plate has an appearance somewhat inspired by human musculature. The shoulder guards are tear drop shaped, and end in black spikes.
  • Powers: In terms of weaponry on hand, he is carrying two short swords, and a dagger. They are normal weapons, nothing special about them...until he draws them.
    • Restless Knight's Soul: His Curse / Spell Core. This ability is a dark reflection of my other protagonist character Matthew Streika's capability to make swords. Michael cannot make weapons out of thin air, what he does is he makes everything he touches into a deadly weapon with middle level* magical capabilities, and he is then compelled to use it on whatever he logs as an enemy in a very skilled manner.
    • Suppressive Traumatic Presence: He is a scary guy, though not by choice. This even manifests as an ability. He makes people afraid on a primal level, and some even start forgetting who they're fighting and what he does.
    • Mirhyor's Charm: In exchange for being unable to stop himself from fighting in an utterly brutal manner once he gets started and feeling no pain, his strength and speed capabilities go up by about 30%. This only ends when it becomes obvious his opponent is out of the way. This ability was not always like this.
    • Marks of An Individual: A pair of marks on his palms, linked to more spiraling carvings on his forearms. These unique magical runes let him use Mana to increase his strength, speed, toughness, but only one attribute at a time, and at a limited value. What is unique about this ability is that he can also use more at a time, but also that when he is using Mana, he becomes covered in an obscuring haze, which makes him look like a very badly seen picture on a low quality video. Like his steam, its light gray.
  • History: Michael has not lived an easy life, by any stretch. Starting from his youth of watching a man brutally murder his mother, and then going into forced conscription into a militia and increasing desperation to end the fighting. When he killed his own commander for ordering a village destroyed, he was cast out of his country and slandered as the worst of villains. It was at this time he met Mirhyor, a fairy-like creature, who made something like a Deal with the Devil with him. In exchange for helping him, he would return her to her rightful place. He was given a powerful suit of armor she created, and a Charm by her. He then found his Spell Core amidst another battlefield. Tragedy struck just when Michael and Mirhyor were about to reach "the Home of Fairies". Mirhyor was slain by Michael's countrymen, who followed him all that way trying to bring him down. It was the ensuing battle that led to him fully developing his abilities. After this, he found his way through Mirhyor's sister to the Tournament, based on the chance that it might let him heal his world... and bring back the woman he loved.
  • Personality: In spite of his vicious behavior in a fight, outside of a fight, he is actually an Extreme Doormat, so nice it really hurts. He is always self-effacing and polite to most everyone, even people he might've pummeled in a fight. He seems to have troubling memory problems about what, exactly, it is that he does to people. One thing about him, though, is that he absolutely refuses to give up, and this was, in the backstory, taken to a dark, deconstructed level. Currently, he does show...signs...of some unhinged traits. He almost seems bored or expecting of a fight, though really, its more that he has become so used to battlefields that he is really uncomfortable when removed from them, mixed well with a case of PTSD. In battle, he is a Screaming Warrior, one hell of a Blood Knight, and a dedicated Combat Pragmatist.

  • Middle Level approximately means not weak, but not too strong either. He still needs to use it in a skilled manner. If the thing he's grabbing is already magical, its capabilities increase.

Name: Shado Judas

Age: 28

Appearance: 6’1, white hair, blue eyes, wears a red trench coat and leather gear.

Powers:

  • - Teleportation
  • - Enhanced Speed
  • - Enhanced Durability
  • - Enhanced Endurance
  • - Enhanced Strength
  • - Enhanced Vision, Smell, Hearing
  • - Enhanced Healing (Not Super)

Combat Skills:

  • - Excellent Swordsman (Wields a Unique Super Alloy Black Katana named “Vengance”)
  • - Good Pistoleer/Marksman (Dual Wields Two 12 Round, .50 cal Pistols “Penance” and “Purgatory”)
  • - Highly Proficient Unarmed Combatant

History: Shado hails from a futuristic dystopian world which resembles feudal Japan called Dartan. All forms of firearms are banned in order to promote peace, this has allowed the Global Elite to subjugate and easily rule over the masses. Society is tiered, with the nobility at the top, directly underneath is the aristocracy, then the military, which answers directly to the previous two, then the rest, also known as Squalors. The Squalors are ruled by the iron fist of the dictatorial government and nobility through the use of the military, with a strict ban on anything of cultural significance. The bans were to prevent rebellions. The ban on firearms most evidently, however people from the Squalor were not allowed any form of weapons at all, therefore weapons, swords and the like, soon became a status symbol. Apart from the standard armed forces which kept civilians and the peace in check, a force was required to combat any resistance fighters who manufactured/used firearms: The Arbiters.

Shado was an Arbiter, genetically created to be a perfect human weapon. Equipped with the most advanced bio-medical enhancements to make them faster, stronger, more powerful and skilful than any other human. However the most important genetic alteration was allowing teleportation. The people of Dartan had already created teleportation that could be used on non-organic material. However trials on organic or human subject inevitably ended in utter failure, and death for the participant. However alteration of a certain chromosome and DNA as well as the addition of a particle modulator to the human body at birth allowed for instantaneous faster than light teleportation at a complete whim.

It was with these abilities that Arbiters were able to completely destroy any form of rebellion, regardless of enemy firepower. However on a raid in an ancient religious building Shado spotted something that would change his life, art. Seeing such an expressions of the human soul being oppressed by the totalitarian autocracy caused Shado to undergo a complete existential rewiring.

Realising his entire purpose was to create oppression, fear and destruction; Shado became the first Arbiter to defect. Over the next few years Shado led a worldwide rebellion, fighting against the tyranny of his world. Shado knew he could not defeat every Arbiter with his skills alone, so he claimed his only advantage, guns. Using guns Shado managed to hunt down his old comrades and destroy the facilities they, he, was made in. In the coming years the Rebellion grew to the point the government revoked its gun laws to arm its own forces. But it was too little too late. With the only, and most powerful, Arbiter left alive and a massive head start on fire arm manufacturing the rebellion had a clear advantage and its victory was swift. Shado established a democratic government and re-established culture and freedom. And after a few years Shado faded himself into obscurity.

This peace, however, was not to last, mankind had been granted too much freedom, too much power. Wars broke out across the planet and humanity delved into a dark age of anarchy. Shado, overcome with grief and remorse at what he had unwittingly brought to humankind, now wanders aimlessly.

Personality: Arbiters are engineered to be emotionless, stripped of their humanity. The bio-engineers must have missed something with Shado as he still experienced remnants of emotion. Mostly cold and reserved, Shado still displays very little emotion however can and does experience a whole host of emotions. Shado is sympathetic to the less fortunate and weak and has a strong sense of justice. In combat Shado regains his engineering, he is an apathetic killing machine, economical and efficient.
