Chris Nolan, I guess. Memento, Inception, The Dark Knight Saga - all great.
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)I don't even need to explain it.
Sam Raimi.
Evil Dead 2. No other movie will tell you more about this very weird man than that one.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatEdgar Wright. Don't make me choose.

Gotta' agree with Edgar Wright, my favourite movie of his being Shaun of the Dead.e also made my favourite TV show, Spaced.
Gentlemen, as of this moment, I am that second mouse. No love for George Lucas?
"I'm afraid I just blue myself" - Tobias FunkeNot anymore.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatTim Burton, Corpse Bride I'll just leave it at that.
Jackie Chan
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackSidney Lumet. The man has made many of my favorites and none (that I've seen so far) that I dislike.
Dog Day Afternoon, Twelve Angry Men, Deathtrap, Network... too good a track record to get any less from me.
Seconding Christopher Nolan. My favourite is Memento.
Scepticism and doubt lead to study and investigation, and investigation is the beginning of wisdom. - Clarence DarrowI have to choose?
Torn between Danny Boyle and Christopher Nolan.
For Danny I'd say 28 Days Later.
For Nolan? Memento.
Quintin Tarantino.
Kill Bill. Nuff said, I think.
Actually Kill Bill would a good justification If I wanted to choose the least favorite director.
One candidate for my favorite director would be Akira Kurosawa, because of versatility and consistensy and some of the best movies I've ever seen (The Seven Samurai, Rashomon and Ran).
Twelve Angry Men left me speechless. Did you already watch Ikiru? I'm pretty curious if it's a great movie. Knowing Kurosawa, it'll probably exceed my expectations.
"I'm afraid I just blue myself" - Tobias FunkeIt's an interesting question but I don't think a certain director is what makes a movie good. None of the movies I really like were directed by the same person. My brother loves M Night Shyamalan.
Brad Bird 'tis my pick.
Guilermo Del Toro.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I would say Kubrick, Tarantino, Spielberg and the like, but they all have films that I don't particularly like. Tim Burton is probably the Director whose works I consistently like the most. However, I refuse to see Dark Shadows because its more parody than true homage to the original series. Regardless, Burton's dark humored surrealistic style is just always aesthetically appealing, even in rather lackluster things like Alice.

"Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools" - Napoleon BonaparteOoh, good question.
I really like Robert Zemeckis for some reason. Not only is he a consistently good director but he has a stable of good cinematographers and composers. He brought on Alan Silvestri to compose Back to the Future, for example. He just consistently good and I always enjoy his work even if the script sucks (like Flight).
I'm a skeptical squirrelSam Peckinpah or the Coen Brothers.
Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia and Fargo, respectively.
Sam was just such a tragically flawed figure. His films reflected that heavily.
The Coens almost go without saying, really. It's just incredibly hard for me to pick a single favorite film of theirs but Fargo is very representive of their style.
You can get what you want and still not be very happy.Kathryn Bigelow or the Coen Brothers. Probably Bigelow, if I had to choose.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~Is and always will be David Cronenberg.
Body Horror and Mind Fuckery - two great tastes that go great together.
