Amazon is an epic series, but in a lots of ways the main character is basically "Japanese Tarzan as a Friend to All Children, but also Bloodier and Gorier".
Yeah. I know about the Bloodier and Gorier part.
Now I kinda find myself looking forward to it, if I ever get to it.
Who would be a good choice for Amazon by the way? I don't know of many characters who fit that Japanese Tarzan type that you mentioned.

One Strip! One Strip!Humanized Kimba? Pre-DB Goku? N from Pokemon? Keenan from Digimon Data Squad?
Oh wow!
I forgot about Keenan / Ikuto.
He's around 15 in the series epilogue, so if I gave him another year (or had him be older than he was during the main series), he'd work pretty well.
Thanks man. It helps that Savers / Data-Squad is another series I'm familiar with (which is what all the shows I've chosen have in common, though I've seen less of Yu Yu Hakusho, but enough to know all the important stuff).
One Strip! One Strip!Or maybe just have Amazon himself?
Just an idea. Also, a reminder that manga versions of any Kamen Riders of the Showa Era are different individuals. Seriously, other than names and forms, they've nothing else in common.
Amazon, however... he only has that one promo pictures drawn by Ishinomori, so no manga version of him.
Also, been playing Ground Zeroes—trying to S-Rank everything—to prepare myself for The Phantom Pain... with how dark that game is, I'm considering making a crossover with Kamen Rider.
Of course, if I have to do it like Metal Gear, I have to go all philosophical and stuff. Fortunately, the manga version of Kamen Rider has all that, so I can read it for more info.
If I do it chronologically, then in Snake Eater, Naked Snake/Big Boss would have met Cyborg009 and friends.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.Let me guess. You want to include the other Ishinomori heroes along with KR?
You know it!
... Is what I would say, but not really.
Again, if I'm gonna do this chronologically, then the Snakes will not meet everyone.
Naked Snake/Big Boss will most likely to meet The 00 Cyborgs in the Snake Eater decade. In Peace Walker, the one that make most sense to me would be Kamen Rider X, considering that the game took place in '74.
Still, there are time gaps between those games; maybe I could have the MSF fight the Black Ghost, teaming up with the 00 Cyborgs. Ooh, maybe I could have them fight Shocker before they took Hongo Takeshi... Big Boss as a Kaizou Ningen. Yes plz.
Buuut it would ruin canon, and since he's gonna be a bad guy in later games...
Anyway, Phantom Pain takes place in '84, so Kamen Rider ZX and BADAN is around; if I used the Spirits version, it would fit well since the threat is global.
Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, though... would be difficult. For now, I think I got the Big Boss Saga covered.

A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them. You can have Big Boss as a modified human and still keep his ultimate Fallen Hero status.
Hell, it could potentially even help to contribute to his downfall. Make for a nice contrast against the Riders (and future!Raiden).
Big Boss would fit as Eternal.
... There is something extremely wrong with that sentence of yours, Psyga. I dunno what, but it felt so goddamn wrong to me.
Like... No. Just no, man.
Anyway.
That would be one way to deal with the story, making Big Boss/Punished Snake/Venom Snake into a Kamen Rider but without all those hopefulness the Showa Riders have.
... Maybe I should wait until I finished The Phantom Pain to figure out how it will work.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.Grunting in pain, the Blue Ranger was the first to speak up. "I propose that we savagely brutalize its macrocosmically hideous posterior."
The Red Ranger groaned, trying in vain to massage away his headache. "How about we just kick its big ugly butt instead?"
Despite the helmet, Blue Ranger actually looked offended at the remark. "...that is exactly what I just said."
Okay, maybe I'm just petty, but let me say this:
Hideo Kojima is thrice damned bloody fucking blighted Magnificent Bastard.
....as true as that is, what does it have to do with Tokusatsu?
Oh, sorry, just ranting. I compelled to write that because the plans on above posts. Writing that on MGS forum won't end well.
Random idea: Kamen Rider Over Coffee. Everyone encounters the Denliner eventually, even if only in the movies. It's a Kamen Rider-only Coffee shop, where off-duty Kamen Riders bitch over dangling plot threads and plotholes and random advertising episodes withthe only people who'd understand. And no one likes Decade.
I'm guessing there will be a lot of Onore Dikiedoooooos!!!!! going around.
And it makes sense. He did murder most of them. Sure, he was supposed to do it, but still. That's the kinda thing you hold a grudge over.
One Strip! One Strip!Had a sudden idea for a Codex Alera/Kamen Rider Gaim crossover. That's a two-front war against hyper-adapative super-monsters. Just imagining Vord Invess... or worse, a Vord Invess Overlord Queen...
Well, after an atrocious 54 weeks, I have FINALLY finished my Megazord vs Sachiel fight.
How does Shinji make things worse?
One Strip! One Strip!Well, he did accidentally bring an Angel to the MMPR world...
Sound like par for the course with him.
Then again, since he didn't do it on purpose, and probably feels awful about it, I doubt the rangers will say lock him up and hate him without telling him why, and make him feel infinitely worse, to the point where he tries to fix things out of desperation and ultimately cause even more harm.
What era of Power Rangers is this? You didn't mention what Megazord.
One Strip! One Strip!Progress Report on my Kamen Rider OOO x RWBY SI-Fic, Dusts of Avarice.
4000+ words, and now I'm entering the fight scene.
Yummy is a Mantis-Jaguar Yummy, as a tribute to the Jaguar monsters from V3 and Agito. Since Dusts is my second SI-Fic, and the former two were the first two of their respective era, I say why not?
Besides, there are no spider and bat monsters in OOO.
Any advice on how Velvet's fight scene? I wanted her attacks to be more kick based, but how do I describe/narrate it?

A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them. It's an AU of MMPR season 3. Kat's the Pink Ranger, but they're still using the Mega Ninja Falconzord from earlier in the season, and even still using the Power Cannon from the first season. Additionally, the Return of the Green Ranger arc hasn't happened yet.
If you ever look it up, Rob, I should tell you that the first three chapters or so are total garbage (they were written years ago, when I was an even shitter author than I am now).
I'm fairly satisfied with chapters 5 and 6, though.

Cool.
I got some stuff. I'm still thinking on my Kamen Rider / Shin Megami Tensei crossover.
A while back, I watched some Let's Play videos of both Devil Survivor games (the latter being the original 3DS version since RecordBreaker didn't exist yet). I stopped both games just before the actual path choice, but I've recently started watching Overclocked again, right from where I left off on the Let's Play (which means I'm seeing Atsuro's route right now).
I'm gonna use it for research purposes, while I continue my viewing of Black and Kiva (something I've been talking about on the main rider thread).
If I get the time, I may finally start writing down some ideas for what I want to do when I get everything I need.
I might also take a look at a Soul Hackers Let's Play as well. I did want to see if I wanted to use Amami (that was the name right) City as a base (maybe take some cues from Tatsumi Port Island as well).

One Strip! One Strip!
So remember that idea I came up with way back; another insert random anime character into the role of a different Kamen Rider Character type thing? Not the similar idea with Riders vs Sentai, (though I might still come back to that one) but something where there were three main riders, representing different concepts behind how they transform: Technology, Biology, and Magic.
I decided to try look at it again (though whether I'll ever do it is up in the air), using three rider identities: Kamen Rider Amazon (representing biology), Kamen Rider Faiz (representing technology), and Kamen Rider Wiseman, representing Magic.
I even came up with two potential anime characters for two of them: Yusuke Urameshi for Faiz, as his delinquent attitude and initial loner persona in the early series before his death is a good choice for the more unrefined brawler style of Takumi, and Mami Tomoe for Wise(wo)man, due to her being part of a Magical Girl series, and thus acquainted with magic.
Not sure who to use as Amazon but I would need to watch Amazon first before I could do it anyway.
The best part is, the three riders represent three different Rider eras (Showa, Heisei, and Neo-Heisei), so I like it.
In case anyone still cares, I'm still working on my Shin Megami Tensei / Kamen Rider crossover. In addition to still watching Black and Kiva as more research, I'm also going to finish Devil Survivor Overclocked, and Devil Survivor 2, both of which I watched up to the alignment split (and in the case of Desu2, I'm going to start from the beginning with Record Breaker), but I'm also waiting on Persona5 to see if I can use some stuff from that.
This story is gonna take a long time, but I'm not giving up on it (out loud that is; it's likely never gonna happen, but in case I'm wrong, it doesn't hurt to keep it in mind).
