Do not mock Ultraman Taro. He's one of my childhood heroes. Taro kicks ass.
But seriously though, he came before Grendizer, so...
This reminds me, why don't we have an Ultraman in any of the Super Robot Wars game, that would be awesome.
Anyway, saw Gaim 23 and I am loving Shogun Gaim, can't wait for whatever plots comes after the To Qgerx Gaim one hour special (which is also something I want to see)
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them. That wasn't mockery. It was a compliment.
Ultraman probably has lower odds of getting included in SRW than Godzilla, honestly.

The way you typed it made it sound like one... Sorry, as I said, he's one of my childhood heroes and my brain just instantly decided to think of it that way ^^;
I know that, but at least they made this
Same developers of the SRW games.
Kinda sad they never made a Super Tokusatsu Taisen 2011.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them. How could comparison to an Uncle Go 'bot ever be anything but a compliment?
I already have tried Super Tokusatsu Taisen. Got a few levels in, up to Kamen Rider 1st vs Komouri Ningen note , but ultimately decided that I wasn't too interested in it.
As I said, my brain decided to see it as a mockery, I dunno why (you know how funky the human brain can be )
What is that game's story anyway? Obviously someone wanted to take over the world (OF COURSE) or destroy it, but how and why and who are the people involved?
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.I have no idea. Naturally it's not big enough to have a fan translation patch, and I didn't bother trying to look for a faq or anything that might have a script, either. I'd say odds are high that SHOCKER has something to do with it, though.

But since it's a game based on the SRW series, I bet there's someone else behind it.
Oh, and I remembered; that game is also the basis for my Toei x Capcom fanfic (which I still haven't continue; God this is hard)
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.Given that there's a set of Original Generation heroes, an OG villain is more than likely.
I do get a Guyver vibe from the original characters from that game.
Welp, this week we shall wait for Kamen Rider Taisen to be on cinemas (which we non-Japanese have to wait for months for its DVD/Blu-Ray to see it) and maybe avoiding the one hour special of Gaim x To Qger to avoid spoilers... No fair T_T
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.Ah, Guyver. Yet another manga on my to-read list.
I also just saw the latest ep of Gaim.
It's spectacular, but that's a tale for the Kamen Rider thread.
Anyway, I've finally decided on the full line up.
After looking at the advice from others, I've swapped out Abare Blue for Bouken Blue which means:
Riders:
Kamen Rider Ryuki: Shirou Emiya
Kamen Rider Skyrider: Jet Link
Kamen Rider Saga: Mamoru Chiba
Kamen Rider Marika: Kagome Higurashi.
The White Wizard: Van Hohenheim
Sentai:
Black Condor: Joe Asakura (I decided why the hell not?)
Fuck Yeah!! Both sides complete. Phew. I spent so much time decided who would be who, I'm still unsure of a plot. But who knows? Now that I've gotten this far, this thing might see the light of day. There's a lot more to work on, but I want to thank all of you for realizing how awesome I am for coming up with this for your ideas and suggestions. I still got a lot of research to do (gotta read Love Hina now, maybe watch some of the anime as well) and possible some other things, but this was fun.
I wanna see where it goes, though that won't stop me from trying other ideas as well.
One Strip! One Strip!DO NOT WATCH THE LOVE HINA ANIME. The anime flanderizes Naru and Motoko into bashfic fuel, and is generally inferior to the manga, so just stick to reading the manga.
Also, you consistently have writ Schwarz Bruder like a Wiki Word. It irritates me.
Sorry about that.
I'll skip the anime then. I guess that's the reason Naru in particular takes so much flak from the Fandom.
As for the Schwarz thing, I keep copy and pasting the previous lists, and I never fixed the error.
......And I think I still won't.
One Strip! One Strip! This may not count as fanfic per say, but I just wanted to ask:
How would YOU adapt Kamen Rider for the US of A?
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatSomewhere along the line, I already posted my ideas for adapting Kamen Rider Double (Detective Noir set in Detroit, with a Gaia's Vengeance plot; called "Kamen Rider Gemini"), Kamen Rider Den O (Set Right What Once Went Wrong, vaguely like Power Rangers RPM in tone, but with a plot more slightly more akin to The Terminator; didn't have a name for it), IIRC Kamen Rider Kuuga (probably the most faithful of the adaptations I suggested; called "Kamen Rider Inheritor", since The Hero is "the inheritor" of the original Kuuga's will and powers), and I forget if I brainstormed for anything else.
Since I'm Indonesia, I dunno jack about the USA other than what I've seen on TV and the internet.
You know what should be done? Kamen Rider The First/Next style show. Without the random crap that made First and Next bad.
This may sound bad, but I just thought up of an American version of Kamen Rider V3; make him someone of African descent. From what I've seen on TV and online, black people always have it rough. So I think, this black Kazami lives in a relatively normal neighborhood with the occasional gang members harassing his neighborhood. Then one day, when he decided to stop one activity, it turns out that gang member is actually a kaijin, Scissors-Jaguar. Aaaand you know how this goes in the original.
Honestly, an American Kazami Shiro played by a black man is the first thing that came up in mind. It just fits so well... Surely it can be done better by someone else, but that's the one I got.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.Oh yeah, and I also remember now, having suggested that an adaptation of Kamen Rider Amazon be "Kamen Rider meets Tarzan." Yes, I know, it's kind of like that already, I mean Up To Eleven. Have him as a Nature Hero fighting ecoterrorists in the wild jungle somewhere.
If you want it to fit the theme, make him played by a Brazilian actor. That's just me though, but if Cyborg 009 can make an international multiethnic team work, then if could work for Kamen Rider dammit.
But maybe the most fitting would be Kamen Rider Shin. Genesplicing and scientists messing with the natural order theme never gets old, no?
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.I'm not sure about a Den-O adaptation that plays itself seriously. Most of the charm of that series comes from the core Imagin; their very distinct personalities lead to a lot of goofy interplay.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI was just thinking of writing up Fourze in the style of the New Saban Era Power Rangers.
{The Scorpio Zodiarts goes Super Nova and stings USA!Fourze}
USA!Fourze: OH NO! HE STUNG ME!
{He gets saved by USA!Shun}
USA!Shun: I'll save you because [insert spiel about friendship and protecting the earth here]!
Oh yeah, have any of you guys been watching Samurai Flamenco? My girlfriend recommends it, apparently it has a lot of toku elements.
Reading the Trope page makes me crave for Akibaranger Season 3... It reminds me of it somehow.
One of these days, I'll watch it.
A stranger is like the shadows. It is so common to the world everyone will just ignore them.I have finally finished up the next installment of Journey Through The Abridged, but I'll hold off from posting it for a few days.
Hey guys, I just thought up of a new fantastic crossover.
Ultraman x Doctor Who.
Think about it, both stars an alien, both are sci-fi themed, both have that X-Files/Twilight Zone feel, it's perfect!
My first idea is to have the 1st Doctor encountering the original Ultraman. Yeah, by 1966 he regenerated into the 2nd Doctor, but what if before his first regeneration, a few days let's say, he met up with the Science Patrol in Japan dealing with a Baltan Seijin... However, since Doctor Who has less action at that time, nor is the Doctor does any kungfu fighting (until the 3rd Doctor of course) at the time, this... might be difficult.
However, I just know it can be an awesome crossover

One of those Ultras has a head like Grendizer.
