I'm not sure what to tell you, Replica. The powers just seem to be gamebreaking, and I can think of a way to make the characters work in their current state. They seem too otherworldly for this.

Good job, wikkit.

  • Name: Unknown
  • Sex: Male
  • Alias: The Lone Gunslinger
  • Age: Unknown (but at least 250)
  • Appearance: Facially resembling a middle-aged Clint Eastwood, he is around 6'2 and is dressed within a cowboy garb complete trench coat. "For Light To Break The Darkness" is inscribed on the colt Revolver he keeps in his holster. A deep scar on his face signifies the wear and tear of a man sick of the cruelness of the world yet kept alive only by his desire to uphold Good.
  • Character Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Occupation: None
  • Personality: Jaded, Bitter yet second to none in determination to do the right thing. A man of few words, he seldom speaks to those he saves preferring to just carry on his path of fighting for justice. He will never let injustice occur and if made aware of it, he will travel far and wide to ensure that Justice is assured at all costs, including his own life. He has no regard for the laws of society in any shape or form, only his own moral code which he has not and shall never break under any circumstances.
  • Powers/Abilities/Weapons: Precise Marksmen, Immortality (but not invulnerable in any way).
  • Background: Shrouded in Myth, there are various rumors about his origin with the following being the most common. The Lone Gunman was born somewhere in on the Mexican Border. Sometime after his birth, he made his way to Texas whereby he eventually became an Outlaw in the vein of Robin Hood, always striving to seek true justice beyond the bonds of the law. Eventually however, he met his match at the hands of an unknown criminal (who was responsible for a serious rapes/murders of Native Americans) who instead of killing him, deciding to leave him with a scar to remind him of his failures. Eventually nursed back to health by a Native American tribe, he tracked down the man only to find that he has already died of natural causes. Determined to rectify his failure, he swore never to give up pursuing true justice and now drifts across the U.S.A, determined to ensure that Justice is upheld, be it through the law or the barrel of his gun.

Name: Tobias Le Blanc

  • Sex: Male
  • Alias: None
  • Age: 30
  • Appearance: Your average Wall Street suit wearer. He is around 5'10 with dark blond hair, and a facial structure similar to Christian Bale. Always wears a completely White Suit
  • Character Alignment: Lawful Evil
  • Occupation: Businessman (a variety of different enterprises but mainly Infrastructure)
  • Personality: Cunning, Sneaky, Manipulating.
  • Powers/Abilities/Weapons: Mind Control and the ability to induce hallucinations.
  • Background: Tobias Le Blanc was born in Radio City to a relatively well off-family who instilled in him from an early age the value of taking what you want. He discovered at an early age that people would do what he would say and it was only after inducing an hallucination within his nanny that he discovered that he had powers beyond the norm. He eventually took over his father's company which he used his powers to grow significantly. Despite this, he finds his powers disdainful and instead more satisfied to use his "normal" powers of manipulation to get what he wants and what he wants. Such a disdain means that he will try everything to get what he wants through legal means and only resort to using his powers if he has to. His one pursuit in life is money and he use his powers/illegal means if a person continues to stand in his way, even if it may cost them their life.

  • Name: Frank Jones III
  • Sex: Male
  • Alias: The Birdman of Radio City
  • Age: 47
  • Occupation: Low-Level Waste Worker
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Appearance: In his base form, he is a balding, overweight man who wears, in general, average clothes. He can't really afford better than "average". He is more often than not seen in his work clothes: Goggles, gloves, reflective orange vest, heavy clothing and boots.
  • Personality: He is an ornery fellow on most days, discontent with his position in life. He prefers to spend most of his days alone, and as such lives by himself in a small apartment by himself.* Frank thinks he's got a wicked sense of humor, but you would probably disagree. He could be described as "That one jerk you see on the street who gives you a sneer and possibly swears at you when you bump into him". He would probably agree.
  • Powers: Frank is able to control birds. The average pigeon, crows and seagulls that make up the avian population of Radio City are his allies. He can control what they think and do, and do that quite well. He is also able to split his form into a small flock of assorted birds, and when regrouped into a large enough flock he reform. These birds, however, are absolutely normal birds. They get cold, give birth, hunger and things city birds are wont to do. Frank, when he is controlling them, feels such things as well. It can feel pretty bad when a bunch of birds are burning to death at the same time, you see! Frank himself is nothing more than a unathletic human in poor physical shape.
  • Background: The odd thing is, very little is known about this man. All records of him seem to only exist after he bought a apartment in Radio City. No one knows where he acquired these powers or what his agenda is. A larger increase in bird-related disturbances seemed to occur after he came, but with very little in common. One night, a flock of birds is described as stealing the entire contents of a fruit vendor's cart. The next, some seagulls stop a petty drug-addict from knifing a woman. For how mundane the man seems to be, more about him should be apparent...

Yeah, sorry TCD. I feel your first character is too weak and ineffective for what he is supposed to be. And immortality isn't a valid power. And your second character is too vague to the point of being overpowered. Not accepted.

Wikkit, your Bird Man is accepted, but take away his ability to see what the birds see. Them talking to him is totally okay though.

  • Age: 63
  • Appearance: Stout, old man with a large white beard, wears a leather jacket, sailor's cap, and an eye-patch.
  • Character Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Occupation: Ex-retired Super Villain
  • Personality: He is a stubborn old villain who's determined to kill as many heroes as he can before he dies.
  • Powers/Abilities/Weapons:
    • Genius engineer, inventor, and piloter of zeppelins
    • Can control any one of his many robots he has from a control panel within his Zeppelin, but he can only control one at a time.
    • The robots about the size of a cab of a semi truck, and are equipped with a jetpack, a rocket launcher attached to the right arm, and a mini-gun attached to the left arm. They also have cockpits where they can be controlled manually.
    • The robots look like this, but with smaller shoulder pads.
    • Lives in a big black Zeppelin with a skull on the front of it and defensive turrets attached to the sides. He always has his zeppelin above to cloud layer when he is deploying his robots.
    • Also has a jetpack for himself
  • Background: Zeppein was once a great super villain back in the day, however eventually he decided he had enough of the villain gig, and retired with the wealth from his past exploits. Years later he realized that he was getting old, and that villainy wasn't doing so well in the fight of heroes verses villains. So Zeppelin suited up again to save the world of super villainy, and kill as many heroes as he could.

  • Sex: Male
  • Alias: Blue Wolf
  • Age: 10

  • Character Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Occupation: Street Beggar
  • Personality: Naive and fearful (when in the form of Utina). Intelligent, protective and utterly ruthless (when he is in the form of Blue Wolf)
  • Powers/Abilities/Weapons: None as Utina. Typical werewolf powers as Blue Wolf e.g. incredible strength, heightened sense of smell and so on. Unlike most werewolf's however, he can be killed by conventional means.
  • Background: Utina was originally a member of South American tribe whose talisman was that of a Blue Wolf that would protect the tribe against dangers via a magically imbued blue pendent that was passed down to the head of the tribe each generation which would allow them to turn into the Blue Wolf, a separate entity who also served as the tribes God. Eventually, the tribe was attacked by loggers and Utina was the only survivor. He fled with the blue pendent through the rainforest although eventually he ran into the loggers who planned to finish the job. The Blue Wolf took over and managed to destroy the loggers. Realizing that for the first time that he possessed a small boy and not the elder of the tribe, the Blue Wolf made the choice to protect the boy by all means necessary. Utina eventually made his way to Radio City where he lives on the street as a beggar constantly watched over by Blue Wolf.

Wouldn't the fact that he has telekinesis mean that he never actually has to touch anything, he can just hurl shit, and because he's invisible, you won't be able to track his location, just the general vicinity of his influence? =| One or the other!

But now there isn't really a justification for him having invisibility powers in the first place... It's just "I wanted to be invisible, and then it happened."

[up][up] Basically, at the very least you need a Hand Wave for your characters' powers. Look at mine — the twins were subjected to magical experiments. That's a bona fide Hand Wave, but it's enough.

Just to say, I don't mean to be annoying in anyway when I do post the character (although I'm not really sure who he's a Mary Sue in anyway, he's pretty much invisible and nuts, that's it.)

You're not annoying, TCD. I'm trying to help you to the best of my (admittedly meagre) ability. I imagine Starbound feels the same way.
Anyway, MS doesn't necessarily mean 'OP'. For example, a character that blatantly violates common sense (for its 'verse) is on its way to become a MS, even if it isn't OP — for example, suppose I'm writing Manga.Fullmetal Alchemist fanfic and an alchemist clearly violates Equivalent Exchange without a Philosopher's Stone or something similar. He's headed toward the MS territory, though he isn't necessarily a MS just because of that.
The reason I suggested the MS Litmus Test is because it gives you a good estimate regarding that — if the character is borderline, it'll say so, if it's a bona fide 'Sue it'll say so, if it's OK it'll say so, etc.

Yeah, at least give me a reason for his invisibility. He was experimented on, he found a magical artifact, a dying alien gave him his power, something. Do that, and I'll probably accept him. Also, is his name Tyson or Luke? And remember, I didn't accept your other two characters.

  • Name: Jethro "Jet" Kane
  • Sex: Male
  • Alias: Doesn't have one
  • Age: 27
  • Appearance: This, and his face looks like this.
  • Character Alignment: Very Chaotic Good
  • Occupation: "Detective"/On-Call SWAT
  • Personality: A no-bullshit sort of cop who doesn't care too much about how people view him. He's also a somewhat simple man who adamantly believes that most problems can be solved by the liberal application of force. Viewed as gruff and anrgy by most, he also has a part of him deep down that cares, which is why he'd rather stop one civillian from dying than kill one criminal. Now, if he only had to choose between letting a criminal live or die...
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Cyborg/Exoskeleton: He's got the usual stuff, like enhanced strength and speed and armor and whatnot, a phone in his head, multiple vision modes, an oxygen supply for vacuum and low-depth water operation, nanites in his blood, a short-term cloaking system, and of course, can shoot grappling hooks out of his arms.
  • Weapons:
    • FN F2000 strapped to his back
    • AA-12 also strapped to his back
    • Pair of Beretta M9s on his leg holsters
    • Pair of S&W Model 29s on his hip holsters
  • Background: Always a bit of a Cowboy Cop before his accident, he's crossed the line multiple times, but he always got the job done - if "the job" was defined as a staggering body count of suspects who allegedly refused to surrender, and almost no actual arrests. That is, until he wound up getting hit by a grenade and nearly died. But he hadn't paid much attention to the forms he signed on his insurance policy when he joined up, so he had checked the "make me a monster" consent box for experimentation if legally declared dead. That, and his less-than by-the-book performance history made him a prime candidate for a human augmentation program that replaced his four limbs, eyes, the majority of his organs and half of his brain with prosthetics. He was sent back into action as a police officer who wouldn't be utterly and completely murdered by the first super-powered tweaker they encountered.
