I disagree. A better picture would be great, but the current picture is better than nothing.
Everything is Possible. But somethings are more Probable than others.Unless you've got a better alternative, I think it should stay.
I don't see anything wrong with it, plus it's rather humorous.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerIt actually works if you think about it - a girl's body existing inside a planet is bound to disrupt it. It's a good Visual Pun too.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Keep until etc. - the current image is good for the reasons mentioned above.
The hell is this current image? It's just a Colony Drop in the shape of a girl's head as a token attempt to try and connect it to the trope at hand! How did this make it through this extremely picky subforum?

I have a message from another time...I think there are Touhou fanboys among us. In any case, the image and the caption do absolutely nothing to display the trope, and I have no clue how this could be any better than no image.
"@[=g3,8d]&fbb=-q]/hk%fg"It's funny. Something of a Visual Pun.
We can definitely do better, but I'm not sure we should immediately pull it.

That won't take long.
I have a message from another time...So go find one.
I dislike yukkurisnote . A lot. I still think that abomination makes for a good illustration of the trope.
Check out my fanfiction! The picture is stupid, makes no sense, and contains elements that are repugnant to its own fandom, but it does somehow match the trope in a visually amusing way.
It's certainly not perfect, but to a non-fan, it's illustrative. Strangely enough, it's probably the first image where non-fans are inclined to keep it, while fans hate it with a passion.
Is Reimu even an example? I haven't played Touhou, but from one of my friends, I think she's more of a Barrier Maiden than an Apocalypse Maiden. Sure, the image is amusing, but it doesn't showcase the trope at all. The trope is about a girl fated to bring about the end of the world. This is just a giant head that slams into the Earth.
Still need More Dakka, and it's about time to start a real WAAAAAGH.It has absolutely nothing to do with Touhou. The super-deformed head thing is just a weird meme that everyone hates, and then the hatred of it ironically led to a bunch of new portrayals where the heads are being killed or tortured, which eventually led to even weirder stuff like this picture.
It doesn't make any sense at all. However, it is illustrative.

I know that there's a comic book based off of the cartoon version of Teen Titans. Is there an equivalent of the "Birthmark" storyline there?
I have a message from another time...I've made a composite image of two separate panels of Captain Atom from the Armageddon series he was in, where he was very much an Apocalypse Maiden. Made out of these◊ two pages.◊
There's also a ton of covers showing him being more actively (and unwillingly) destrucive. Overlooking a wasteland. Melting tanks◊. In a crater◊. And turning everything into melty blue...◊ stuff.
Did not understand without context.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Maybe I'm missing something...I looked at the page and she's the one that's getting fried by touching him.
I think that that's what is supposed to be happening, especially given the dialogue there. Note that the trope is, I believe, defined to be gender-neutral.
That said, I don't know what happened in the source pages; while I think that I took the meaning accurately from the composite, the text is somewhat tiny...

Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
As brought up in the Discussion Page for this trope, the Current Pic barely has anything to do with the trope aside from being "a girl causing the destruction of the world. Also a large head of a girl crashing into the Earth while the face was kind of smiling just ruins the feel the trope is supposed to have. I understand that the original pic of Rei Ayaname of Neon Genesis Evangelion was removed because it was a spoiler. I propose that this page become unpictureable if a suitable alternative cannot be found.
