Don't forget the serious military drama!
Tropers watching moviesChrist, I still can't get over how that scenario was straight out of a hentai short. Literally all it was missing was the sex. One of those "only in anime" things.

Episode 14: Zhar Battalion goes out like a boss, curse the Soviet higher ups, Yuuya makes it back to much fanfare and awesome new red-and-white mecha for our viewing pleasure!
Episode 15: Yuuya's set to add a Chinese girl to his harem, causing Yui to go sad puppy dog eyes. Heh. And he also accepts that he's half-Japanese now (his flashback to his mother's home-cooked meal served to add to the impact of that, I thought it was a nice touch).
There's also some nice male bonding with, uhhh... mechanic dude. Plus some more ship tease with Cryska. And the 94 Second. Wow that's a lot of affection. Next ep is a fight with new character Leon Kuze, which should be good.
Episode 16's out.
Starting to get a little bit more of Yuuya's backstory, and getting more character development all around.
And another member for the harem, can't forget that.
I'm surprised that VG didn't make a rude comment when they decided to go with Tarisa's plan. Or maybe he's decided there's a limit to the number of times per day that he can taunt the Gurkha and continue to live.
New episode is out: In it, Yui's interpersonal skills most closely resemble those of a small child, Yuuya is responsible for jealousy and misunderstandings everywhere.
Episode 17: I know this show always had the harem aspect to it but the associated antics felt kinda awkward. Much more interested in Yuuya's past, which probably involved something along the lines deserting his fellow Japanese.
Ep18 - And it's revealed.
Gotta feel sorry for Yuuya. It's transparently not his fault, but he's still going to feel responsible in a situation like that. Having 'friends' blame you for it sure isn't going to help matters.
I also liked Miku.cn's conversation with Yui, even if it is a little late to get that point across to the viewer.
coughs QUALITY. coughs
Revelations on Yuuya's past aside, I'm wondering if whether we're even getting anywhere in the series. Honestly, it really seems like we're in the middle of a soapy school drama rather than a military science fiction setting where humanity is on the brink against an alien menace that's pushing them back day by day... Also while Yuuya has come a long way from how he was in episode one, he's still pretty much a blockhead when it comes to noticing the... chemistry he has with the ladies around him.

The dude notices the ladies just fine. Now, all the short, squishy little fleshbags who insist on taking up his time? That's another story.
In all honesty, it helps to remember that this is a prequel to the eventual VN, which will have the big, serious fight against the BETA. Because of that, the protagonist can't take too much notice of the girls, because that's the eventual player's job to worry about. Likewise, we can't have any casualties amongst the main cast, because that has to happen during the actual story.
And thanks. Figured we had something like that.

I believe the link you're looking for is either Cargo Ship or Robo Sexual
Ep 19 is out.
Liked the opening: Oh, no! Something trivial* has gone wrong. Quick, find an underling lieutenant to blame put in charge of the solution.
And really, Yui, there's no point in hiding it anymore. Everybody knows. Everybody.

Interestingly enough, people say that this episode cements the fact that Yuuya's one true love TRULY is the Type-94. That said, it seems that the screenwriter is stalling for time (the blog even says so) to finalize the stuff for the last few episodes.

Episode 19: Usual harem shenanigans. The hot springs part made me laugh, particularly the VG-mechanic bromance.
finding out that one of the Bridge Bunnies is a yuri fan was one of the best moments of the episode
No one's been commenting on the recent episodes, huh? Well let me just say that this situation with the RLF upped my enjoyment of the series considerably.
I'm not happy. It sunk my Tarisa/Natalie ship.
Did it really, though? I've seen ships survive worse.
In any event, it looks like we're making some somewhat significant deviations from the novels: I'm interested in seeing how it plays out.
That's mostly because the Novels have stopped on a Cliffhanger...
Up to Ep.15 so far: Madoka has arrived...

Keep Rolling OnEpisode 24: Doesn't feel like a finale at all. Not that it inspires a burning curiosity for what happens next, but it does make you wonder. At least Yui and Cryska have acknowledged they're in love with Yuuya.
IMHO, the whole series did exactly what it needed to do; introduce the characters and establish the backstory for the upcoming VN, and it did a far better job of that than Extra and Unlimited did in the original series. Last episode brought us back on course with the ending of the novels, though I don't know how they're going to handle Yui getting shot in the head in one continuity but not in the other. Sandek did mention the assasians, which was a nice little bit of foreshadowing, but no clues as to what's going to come of it. I guess we're pretty much stuck with 'Where do we go from here?' speculation until the VN comes out, and then a frustrating wait for it to get translated and released on PC before most of us will be able to read it.
Muv-Luv Alternative sequel Muv-Luv Integrate and PC / smartphone game Project Mikhail announced
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests. This is actually more important and relevant for this thread.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.
Lots of QUALITY, but the show is okay. I think the main draw for it is that it serves as a window for those people who're interested in the Muv-Luv universe, but don't have the time to devote going through the games (Ultimate, Alternative, Extra).
