If the entire world was like an Action manga

Where everyone (And I mean everyone) could fly, engage in Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs , and Uses it on each other at the same time, have the power to punch mountains into craters, fire energy from your hands or gain hax and broken powers, what would you with these powers?

I want "Bohemian Rhapsody" from Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure, so I can revive any fictional character.

Second most hax ability, IMO.

More hax is only "Gold Experience Requiem", but "Bohemian Rhapsody" has more fun factor.

As an added bonus, Politics would be decided by ever increasingly over the top duels with Card games and Board games, and the Martial Arts tournaments would have to be held inside an International space station very far from Earth and the moon and made out of a special alloy that contains the over powered ness and hax so that the earth isn't destroyed by the collateral damage.

And these powers could be gained in many ways, from the traditional usage of Ki building and Charles Atlas Superpower (Any classic and well known Shonen Jump series, for instance), Robotics and cybernetics or Nanotech (Like Battle Angel Alita) or even through the usage of magic (Mahou Sensei Negima, The Nasu Verse, and the When They Cry Verse, for instance).

Humongous Mecha Piloting is also an option in this Action manga based world.

So a world like Giant Robo? Could be interesting, but then again, the world would be in danger like every other day...

Yes it would, but when Everyone Is a Super, it tends to come with the program.

A world like that would be absolutely horrifying. I could list the various reasons all day, starting with This Is Reality, but I'll sum it up with a name.

No, I mean horrifying. Setting all the implications of action manga aside (most glaringly, the amount of power placed in the hands of the worst people for the job), imagine what happens when the impossibilities of action manga are applied to the hard truth of reality. Take a minute. I'll wait.

Something a hell of a lot more interesting than reality, which is all I care about.

All that would needed was a more epic scale.

And besides, not many people care about the consequences.

I'd die, because I'm not a superhero. Even if I had access to these powers, I doubt I'd be very good at using them. Well, not that my personal death would be a major concern given how soon the world is going to be ending. Unless we introduce a bunch of other storytelling tropes to preserve things.

In which case you run into the other side of Kumagawa: some people are born to lose to the heroes. Mooks of the world, beware.

Well, good always triumphs over evil in the end in action manga so overall I think it would be for the best XD

We'd need a new World-Healing Wave every other week though.

And that's the problem. No one considers the consequences of this. We're talking blatant class discrimination, rampant abuse of power, natural disasters and world threatening incidents on a weekly schedule, domination by the strongest, not the just. Overall, everyone who isn't miserable is either dead or making others suffer.

No, the good guys always win. Right Makes Might in action manga. Always has.

I could swear there are at least a few with Downer Endings.

Actually, it's the exact opposite. In action manga, Might Makes Right, not Right Makes Might. As they say, the rules are written by the winners, with no consideration for anyone else. It's their ideology that wins out, and anyone who disagrees is killed, beaten, or brainwashed. Tell me, what does that ring of to you?

I am in an agreement with KSPAM - I don't want to live in this kind of world.

Why? Firstly, action manga is just not fair. It is always the select few who gets everything.

It doesn't matter if you spend hours upon hours training, so much that you consider just dropping the whole thing; some random punk will show up and in a ridiculously short time, become better than you ever hope to be.

What kind of ridiculous life would that be?

The human race goes extinct because a large porcentage of it goes No Hugs No Kisses, others are aware of sex but choose to become Celibate Heroes, others try but keep getting titanic nosebleeds before consumating anything, others become perverted lechs who never score, and others act normal but keep being confused by perverts and punched into the sky. So no one has sex ever.

No one has sex ever unless their offspring are relevant to what little plot there is later.

Also, all sex will happen during a not covered period of time, and we'll never see how they actually got close enough for it past the childish fighting stage.

Addendum: No one will look after their children anymore. Most children will be left to look after themselves, and parents will only drop once in a while assuming they aren't dead or possessed. They'll never be called out on it.
