Weapons based on the four temperaments?

We have Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholic, Phlegmatic, Supine, and Phlegmatic II. I am wondering what weapons or powers would go well with the six temperaments. I know there are elements to them, but I don't want to go by those. What weapons/powers would go with these?

What came to mind first was long-range weaponry = Melancholic, because it takes patience and skill to aim. Also, Simple Staff = Phlegmatic II due to the plain staff's versatility.

If anyone uses a sword, it would have to be the Choleric one.

That.

I'd say that Choleric would use some weapon that enabled them to just up and whack the guy already.

Phlegmatic would be happy to wait until the right moment to ambush you.

I like the idea! Choleric is the easiest of course because it's an aggressive one, so anything angry and dangerous could work, meleƩ would be the obvious route.

Sanguine's trickier because it's fundamentally friendlier. I think a staff could work though; lots of tripping people up and flashy acrobatics, as well as non-lethal takedowns because blunt weapons never kill people. Think Monkey King.

Phlegmatic I agree with Matues, their strength is being patient and observant, so something that supports others with distraction and careful timing might be good, like a Trick Arrow.

Melancholic can still be pretty aggressive but introversion lends itself better to sneakiness, so I'd go with ninja-y stuff like daggers or thrown weapons.

That's just the obvious though, to be honest I think it would be more interesting to subvert that kind of expectation by using weapon types people wouldn't expect, but working it out so they still make sense.

Sanguine I think a hand to hand fighting style focused on non-lethal takedowns could work (think police/law enforcement). The "weapon" in this case would be a stiphon of disposable handcuffs or zip ties- cheap, lightweight and easy to carry, you could also carry a few pairs of metal handcuffs if you're worried the captive might break free after the fact.

Think Deadly Dodging but you open the fight by pulling out a pair of handcuffs and snap them on as you avoid your foe's blows.

Melancholic I think lends itself to being a Trap Master- preparing for a fight beforehand, and with a large amount of effort, not dealing directly with people at any point except to collect the body...

Supine would be some variant of the Status Effect Guy and/or a support-based Staff Chick

Choleric: Explosives and any high damaging weaponry like shotguns, revolvers, Axes and Chained weapons, anything that would show their dominance well (hunting knifes would go well too).

Sanguine: Quick-paced weapons like Machine guns and tommy guns, perhaps even Gatling guns, the classic Yandere kitchen knife (or Chainsaw), and Broad Swords.

Melancholic: Weapons that can inflict a lot of damage but require constant reloading or strength such as Muskets, Pump Shotguns, Crossbows, Tranquilizer guns, throwing knifes, Riot Shields and Claymore Swords.

Phlegmatic: Weapons that require extreme patience, stealth and cunning to use such as Sniper Rifles, Pistols, Stun Knives, Light shields and Bow and Arrows.

Kesteven's idea to subvert the obvious is interesting. Imagine a Choleric using that staff instead of the sword. Lethal staff-fighting[lol]
