Epsiode 6 of Angel's 3Piece!, again, I didn't observe anything objectionable. It seems like the skeevy moments disappeared, but I think we should reserve judgment until the series is finished. Anything can happen.

Is Playboy really a creative work, though? It'd be like having an article for Star or Newsweek. It publishes creative works, such as novel excerpts, but those aren't written by the magazine. Otherwise it's mainly news and general interest content, plus, obviously, the pictorials. I just searched for a few other interest magazines, like Maxim and Entertainment Weekly, without results.

How would you write trope examples?

What about a Creator page type? I'm not at all familiar with the company outside of common knowledge, but IIRC they dabbled in the production of legit film(s?), like Macbeth (1971).

Then again I s'pose that'd possibly creep too far into Wikipedia territory.

Whether it's a creative work isn't what this thread is about, though. That would be the Websites cleanup thread.

We actually did review Oreimo a while ago, at my request, mainly because I thought the manga was really pushing it with the sexualizing of Kirino. It passed review.

Going into Squid Ops now. First off, it was surprisingly hard to find. Google results show webcomic lists and a reddit discussion wondering if the material was deleted. Typed in Sleepymaid to find the comic.

So far, website does have porn on it. Webcomic itself I'm looking into.

I'm gonna have to read through a lot, seeing as according to the tropes page it gets rebooted a few times due to the author being dissatisfied. So far though, yeah this is some definite fetish stuff. Nothing overtly pornographic, but the hypnosis and nudity is in full force.

Last time I checked, I Dream of Mimi was a pornographic manga/anime. I'm not 100% sure since I haven't seen the damn thing, and I'm only basing this assessment on vague recollection of seeing it discussed in a very old list of "top 10 H-anime", so for all I know it only counts as "porn" by the standards of 15-20 years ago. Should I flag it just in case?

Okay lets hit the google up...

Guy buys a computer girl, computer girl's memory runs on semen. And the disk drive is her cooch, of course. Naughty, naughty.
But the actual sex scenes are less than explicit, there's just a lot of naked time.

There's some weirdness with other aggressive robot girls blowing shit up like some magical girl kind of show, but that of course most often leads into "please plug more memory into my ass!".

...And damn that trope list is bad.

[up][up] The Manga runs in Young Animal which is not an 18+ manga, things like March Comes In Like A Lion is in it and Ai Yori Aoshi once ran in it.

The anime however is made by Pink Pineapple... they only produce flat porn.

[up]Well the anime is much less sexually explicit than the likes of Rance and Dragon Pink that I've seen from them. No genitals directly shown.

Bennett the Sage did a review on that. Funny stuff.

The anime itself, having seen a few scenes, is mostly ecchi. The scenes with the "memory" weirdness from ejaculate are largely non-explicit.

If the page get's the axe it'd be over all the ZCE's cluttering it rather than for the content.

I don't personally believe I Dream of Mimi qualifies as porn. Note that the American DVD says "17+ recommended" on the front, not "18+ recommended". Right Stuf also placed the trailer on shows rated as low as 13+ such as Comic Party.

There are certainly ecchi titles that have aired in the last few years that are more graphic.

Huh. So it's like Yuria 100 Shiki then, where it's obvious that sex happens but it's censored enough that it gets a pass for being published in a non-pornographic magazine... even though the one sex scene in the Yuria 100 Shiki manga that I saw made me stupefied at how it wasn't considered pornographic (both people were totally nude and the only thing we don't see of the sex scene is their genitalia; as in, you see everything else, including naked butts and the rigorous movements).

I get the feeling that, as well as being not particularly explicit, it's as much sex comedy as sex.

[up][up] The line between ecchi and hentai does seem to come down to exposed genitalia. There are exceptions, such as Oruchuban Ebichu (which the 5P gave the okay to years ago), which has some scenes where you can see genitalia right after sex, but not during it. (It helps the art style/sex scenes are ridiculously over-the-top and cartoony.)

It's similar how to sex scenes on channels like HBO are shot. (And to an extent, sex scenes on basic cable in recent years - the only difference being that female nipples and the genitalia of both sexes is a no-no. Everything else is fine.)

Added a few flags for stuff that needs 5P review. Older stuff needs more votes too.

Spaceship Agga Ruter is another one which doesn't show genitalia, though unlike I Dream of Mimi it was released under the Anime 18 label here in the US distinctively as a hentai. I'm not sure how the plot/comedy-to-porn ratio is compared to Mimi, and some screenshots I found online did make it look like the show's sex scenes are a bit more...porny than Mimi's, even if there's no genitalia.

There is an edited version of the first OVA on You Tube; however, it appears to be fan-made and not an actual general audiences release.

Spy of Darkness is one I don't see the 5P letting fly. The scenes are hardcore, there's not much of a plot outside of the sex, and the BBFC found the overall themes too objectionable/there would be too much to cut when a UK distributor tried to get it cut for a softcore release.

Added a few more works, and asking the 5P folk also to examine the other flagged items. It's been a bit slow going.

We can also go ahead and axe Bible Black right now. There's no need for a new generation of the 5P to have that burden on their livers. grin

It is currently under review, seeing as its removal was a rogue cut.
