Hey, how come this thread isn't pinned to the top anymore? What just happened?
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.See this thread.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Also, there's a giant glitch, which allowed people to "become Mods".(I will not say how just for the sake of it) So, people abused it, etc.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.I already hollered. The Kiss X Sis thread got unlocked and pinned; I think I included the pin request for this thread in the de-pin and re-lock request. Mods have apparently sorted that.
Setting that aside, I'm currently at the 40:00 mark in In the Realm of the Senses. I'm ...conflicted. There are an unusually high number of sex scenes, but it doesn't feel like porn. I can't quite put my finger on why, though.

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard Cohen... Should I even ask why someone would bring back the thread for that load of skeevy trash.
Back on topic, I'll get to watching In the Realm of the Senses later — I still have some college work to finish up.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Done with In the Realm of the Senses. I still have no idea what to think of it. Give me a couple days. If any of you don't mind taking a look, feedback is appreciated.
If I don't post or vote by Monday night, harass me so I don't forget.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenI've moved Divi-Dead to the unhyphenated title and cutlisted the old title, as well as done a cleanup on the page, so it can be checked off as done here I believe.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIf we need other opinions on In The Realm Of The Senses, I have Hulu+ and could probably watch it tomorrow night.
Please, by all means do.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenIt is worth pointing out that the terms "Lolicon" and "Shotacon" are often used to describe character types or concepts that are referenced in works that do pass muster under our content policy. An example of those trope need not be pornographic or pedopandering.
For example, in Detective Conan, Ai Haibara doesn't understand why Conan doesn't want her to meet Shuichi Akai, and asks the following question:
Of course Akai isn't a lolicon. The real reason is a bit more complicated, and there is no point in going into details now.
In other words, they at least have value in recognizing Mistaken for Pedophile in anime/manga.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Felarya has been cut, so it can be checked off as well. I'll also request the updates on the Announcements topic.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBut if it's essentially pedophile in Japanese, does it really need it's own page when mention of it could on tropes like the one mentioned?
Mistaken for Pedophile is something completely different. It's about people being mistaken for paedophiles, nothing to do with "lolicon" and "shotacon".
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt's not harming anything by simply having the definition here; if it's being improperly used on pages, that can be dealt with.

Placing this one up for a proactive cut listing if it hasn't already been cut: "Dipper Goes to Taco Bell." Not gonna link it for the purposes of preserving sanity. Bring the Brain Bleach if you seek to read it.
In summary, its considered the Gravity Falls equivilant to Cup Cakes (not flag worthy as its basically just (in my own words) "Meakashi-hen taken to Beyond the Impossible") and Sweet Apple Massacre (already cut IIRC). Sample content includes necrophilia/incest involving minors (IIRC less than 12 to boot), possibly fecalphilia as well.
Here, after all the awful stuff the lot of you have to see and read every day, have some lulz to cheer up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3p_VuPIS2c Or would "Unnessecary Censorship" videos be more appropiate.

Is there actually a wiki page for it? If not, then there's no point in posting about it; the P5 tend to avoid preemptively blocking work pages. And if so, then you should link to it.

I don't think we bother with reviews until something actually has a page. There's all sorts of terrible things out there that we're not going to bother the P5 with since nobody cares about them.
@magnum: If there's under-12 incest and coprophilia in the same work, we should know better than to make a page on it here. It shouldn't have to come before the CV team.
I despise hypocrisy, unless of course it is my own.If we'd deign to pre-lock pages for every little piece of horribleness that the internet spawns, we'll be at it forever. So, P5 and mods don't bother.
If some rogue dares to make a page for that fic, then it will be cut and locked very, very fast.
Fair enough. You hit the nail on the head as to some sick Troll adding the page being why I wanted the work preempted.
After much deliberation (and a good beer), I have decided to vote angel on grounds that it is (a) a (heavily sensationalized) biopic and (b) it has a Criterion Collection release (spine #466note ).
This was a narrow decision, however.

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenSorry, work killed me - but I do plan on watching the movie within the week to help out.
Clarification: you need a Hulu+ account. There is a short trailer (~90 sec) available to non-plus accounts.
Update: found it, will PM on request.
