Again, apologies if I came off a little too strongly. I'll agree on the "strange" part in that there's a fair bit of non-sexual nudity - which makes it rare among the works being reviewed in general. Anyway, since it's flagged, let's see what the 5P says when they get to it.
Also, it's kinda odd that the Wikipedia article states that it was serialised in a shonen manga, but it's labelled as "shojo demographic". *scratches head* You'd think that this would be more clear-cut.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. What does the Japanese Wikipedia say? It's not the first case we've seen of the English site being wrong on something like this. (Really wishing I could read Japanese right about now...)
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Japanese Wikipedia says it's shounen, in a shounen magazine (Shounen Big Comic). I'm guessing the English page says it's shoujo because it's a magical girl series.
Moving this to content violation discussions, what about saying 'let's see if the prurience is over and beyond for the genre'? Because really, superhero comics are full of women and girls with huge breasts and tight spandex, for example.

And the magical girl genre is full of semi-nude transformation scenes and short skirts.
I think that's kinda what animeg is getting at,
some genres have things they do that are simply part of that genre like the previously mentioned spandex in superhero works.

I, for one, think it rather ridiculous to think we're going after American superhero comics and magical-girl shows just because it panders to the target demographic like crazy. As long as it's not purely pornographic or pedo-pandering, I'm not gonna cut it. Simple, nuh?

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.I was just continuing the 'dude, it's for ten year olds' convo on the Body Bags thread. I had an idea about superhero comics because sure, chick is 14 and is wearing a standard superheroine costume, but it's not any worse than normal.
Sure, there may be other demographics, but every show has them.

Yeah, I've read most of Berserk and there's maybe one sex scene in the entire thing that's played for titillation rather than horror, and that's between adults. Yeah, there's a lot of graphic content, but it's played for drama and Fan Disservice, not porn.
Reaction Image RepositoryQuite a bit of it is still explicit though. Should at least get a review.
Who watches the watchmen?Berserk's already been dealt with.
That was quick.
Who watches the watchmen?...in looking at the queue, I'm surprised we had pages on some RPF, given what a legal nightmare those kinds of fics are.
What is RPF?
Who watches the watchmen?Real Person Fanfic.
Oh boy. Those sound like a shit storm waiting to happen.
Who watches the watchmen?Especially since one of these flagged ones apparently involves underaged male ghost porn, going off of our Trope Lists. ?!?!
Underaged male ghost porn? Is someone shipping Casper the friendly ghost with Colbert or something?
Well, I guess TGWTG would be more likely.

Nope, My Chemical Romance. ?!?!?!?!
I used to read Daily Show fic, but this is just... straaaange.

-ahem- TGWTG isn't RPF. Critic, Chick, Linkara and so on are very different from the actors, plus they've even requested stuff on the Kink Meme.

I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again.Colbert would probably be offended if you referred to his character as a "real person", too, actually. Well, in character he would say "well duh", but out-of-character, he'd correct you.
Sigh. One, it was a joke pointing out the absurdity of 'real person fanfiction' including ghost children. Two, I picked Colbert because he was the first person to pop into my head. Three, I then mentioned TGWTG because he had a running gag with Casper, so Foe Yay. Or something.
Sorry, I wasn't meaning to come off as defensive.
I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again.I think RPF really depends on the people involved - some people will get really worked up and sue or demand removal, etcetera, others even play into it, support the writing of it, or read it themselves for the laughs.
(Off topic, I know at least two Visual Kei bands actually encouraged doujinshi (of a Slash Fic nature, at that) and both have said they won't crack down on written stuff at all. In one of those, it's because they felt it fell under No Such Thing as Bad Publicity, at least one of the members was a Yaoi Fanboy, and it's either funny as hell to read or it's so obviously untrue it doesn't really matter when people spread far worse rumors than Everyone Is Bi in serious ways.)
That said, I reported both of those fics because of the underage factor in one and that the other one seemed to be primarily porn. I don't think RPF recs should be a huge issue in and of themselves unless they actually are porn or pedo. And I don't know what MCR's thoughts on yaoi are.

?There is a truly astonishing amount* of MCR RPF out there.

@Pyrite: Thanks for your opinion. I think some episodes were completely cut out in Italy, or at least the one I mentioned, since it seems mostly centered around the modeling for that artist. That episode is however an exception compared to others (and there are also several episodes with no painting scenes at all); said artist acts completely professional, as does Mami's father who's never shown, or even implied, to be a bad parent (another screenshot I saw shows that Mami is not her father's only model, too). Mami's naked wandering in the ateliers is something you may expect from a model who's used and in comfort with being in the nude, but can be uncomfortable to watch because she's so young (that review you linked states that she's 14 in the manga). The fact the series would hardly lose anything without those scenes, which are also fairly frequent (albeit rarely long), is not a point in its favor. I agree with you that there is no sexualization at all, especially compared to today's animes. We also have to keep the shounen target in mind.
You can see why I used the word "strange" with Esper Mami: it has not really anything against the guidelines, but has still content that the P5 may find too objectionable. So, I adjust my opinion to "neutral". Their call.
