Really? I didn't see it in the signup thread. Maybe I just Failed a Spot Check.
Thanks for clearing that up.
A note about the school uniforms: The school is intended as partially western-style, and as such doesn't have strict school uniforms during normal days. Official matching uniforms are still required for formal events/ceremonies, but otherwise students can wear what they want as long as it matches the dress code. This is: requirements for minimum skirt length, and not too revealing; no words or text on the clothing; nothing too garish or ridiculous.
I assumed that Yue might be stretching the dress code a bit anyways (due to her character), but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, there are synthetic blood substitutes that can be used for most medical needs or transfusions, so the donor supply can be used for special cases (and vampires).
(Remaining detailed setting description coming soon)

Danger: Intense gravimetric distortions nearby. Please reverse the polarity on your deflectors now.I meant for Yue to be wearing her uniform and assumed everyone was by default, but since you mentioned her wearing a dress, I decided to have her in the dress from her profile picture. Though she'll probably take off the hat/bonnet once she gets to class.
On another note, I feel perfectly justified in making a pun that might not actually work in Japanese, given that Sonzai made one at the start of the sign-up thread.
Is there any significant Fur Against Fang in this universe, and, if so, does the half-kitsune nurse count as "fur"?

I was actually thinking originally about making the dress code more flexible, but I guess I assumed too much from her carrying the parasol in the intro post. Sorry about randomly dropping details like this after we've started, feel free to hassle me about it if you want to. We can also change it to uniforms if we want to.
In addition, about the Fur Against Fang - I think there is, at least between actual werewolves and vampires. Youkai would probably tend to stay out of that particular rivalry, but I wouldn't blame the vampires for being suspicious of the animal types. (And vice versa)
Also, it's set in Japan, but thinking about it as if it's being translated from Japanese ... is probably a bit much. (Or at least a highly interpretive translation.)

Danger: Intense gravimetric distortions nearby. Please reverse the polarity on your deflectors now.Fair enough. As for the uniforms? Eh, she's in the dress, it's simpler not to go back and change stuff willy-nilly. My bad for not specifying.
As for blood and Yue's diet...
I imagine that there probably are some synthetics that vampires can drink (but Sonzai may correct me on this) and that the one that Yue got (Simochi) just wasn't tested properly to make sure it was safe for vampiric consumption. Plus, Yue would probably insist on real blood anyway, being the privileged sort. Bad enough that she has to drink it cold out of a bag...

Alexandria would volunteer, but she doesn't have blood.
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve. And vampires don't generally benefit from electricity.
And now, for some more details about the setting: (this and the previous info will be edited into the signup post eventually)
In this reality, mystical forces, magic, and entities like Youkai have been around since ancient times, but were mostly minor and hard to track down. However, as the population of Earth increased and culture evolved, they became more frequent and more powerful (overall, not individually). However, (surprisingly enough) most historical events occurred more-or-less similarly, although sometimes through alternate causes.
As for the current to future history, since 2012 (which is slightly more advanced due to a bit of Magitek, etc.), a few things have changed, including the legalization of gay marriage in almost all countries. (And let's not forget Science Babies) Robot and AI rights have also accelerated significantly, and at least in the more developed parts of the world they have full rights. There are, of course, extra laws, regulations, organizations, and communites for the mythical and magical creatures that are present, for example magic classes or clubs. They have also finished the Chuo Shinkansen, Hokkaido Shinkansen, and many other building projects. Space tourism is also available, but still pretty expensive. If it's listed somewhere that in real life they have started construction or guaranteed funding, then it's probably been built. (Or something like it.) No Shimizu Mega-City Pyramid or Sky City 1000, however, those are totally impractical.
As for vampires, I think they probably could drink some types of synthetics, as long as they have the required nutritional value, and have been filtered for excessive positive energy. For that particular batch, they probably didn't formulate it right, or maybe it was accidentally blessed (to help the patients in the hospitals). Who knows?

Danger: Intense gravimetric distortions nearby. Please reverse the polarity on your deflectors now.Not all vampires are necessarily weak to "light" or "holy" in the same way (unless ruled otherwise), so it was probably an error in the formula. Or a failure to test for vampire-friendliness and the lack of a disclaimer/advisory.
Regarding uniforms: I assumed there were uniform and wrote my OP accordingly; fortunately, none of it shows under Sakura's coat so I can say she wears something else, and write Kyoku's uniform off as part of her general silliness.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundI was going to play the Transfer Student Uniforms card anyway, so...
"Yup. That tasted purple."@Scrounge: Although, you did mention she was weak to light earlier, and I would expect all vampires in this setting to work similarily. However, postive energy doesn't necessarily equal holy. Also, while the nurse should be competent (so it wasn't obviously her mistake), we don't really need an explanation for that particular incident.
@desdendelle: Well, there is a uniform, just the students don't have to wear it if they want to wear something else acceptable.
Also: If anyone gets to their classroom, assume the teachers have arrived by now, and they have a notice saying sit anywhere for now, as seats will be assigned during class. Since we're planning on skipping the lessons anyways, I don't think there's really any reason to define the teachers any more than necessary, unless they're someone specific who would interact with the students outside of class.

Danger: Intense gravimetric distortions nearby. Please reverse the polarity on your deflectors now.Ooohh... PANIC TEIM!
"Yup. That tasted purple."I see. Anyway, Genki-running-around time!
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundSakura has just made her first enemy at the school. `-`
"Suffer a vicious person and you will fear vice. Suffer a virtuous one and you will soon loathe virtue itself." Tony DuvertRight-o. Where should I send our new transfer student?
"Yup. That tasted purple."@Sachi: She's a Jerk with a possibility of a heart of gold. What'd you expect, hugs and kisses?
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundNo, of course not. It's just that, you know, equal polarities repel each other. XD
"Suffer a vicious person and you will fear vice. Suffer a virtuous one and you will soon loathe virtue itself." Tony DuvertYeah, I'm making a mess of this.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Note that while it seems like that you Can't Get Away with Nuthin' so far in school, that's mostly just because the secretary is very strict about the no-fighting policy during school. Security is much less lax outside of school or during club activities, and it's still possible to, for example, magically cheat during PE and not get caught if it's subtle enough.
Danger: Intense gravimetric distortions nearby. Please reverse the polarity on your deflectors now.@Sonzai: I actually said that Yue is sensitive to light. Which is why she didn't suffer any real harm from Alexandria other than being blinded and disoriented.
I hope you don't mind me embellishing a possible werewolf problem.
It's okay, but in reality it's probably not nearly as bad as Yue makes it out to be. It's fine for her to exaggerate, and I'm sure the werewolves would complain about the vampire problem as well.
Danger: Intense gravimetric distortions nearby. Please reverse the polarity on your deflectors now.Well, yeah... She hasn't been a vampire for very long, and, well, she's a teenage girl from the upper classes. Of course she's not a particularly reliable source of information. That said, there probably are at least a few werewolves that fit the description, simply because, well, there's bound to be a few bad apples in any ethnic group, and werewolves do have the potential to be really dangerous.
That said, I stand by The Ferals as a good name for a werewolf biker gang. :)

Yes, I guess I forgot to specify, but the first number is the year, and the second is the class # (1 to 7 at Mitoshin), so 1-3 is for 1st years, and 2-2 is for 2nd years. (I don't think we have any third years.)
Also, there is more to the new world and some things have changed, although it is Like Reality, Unless Noted about most things. I'm a bit busy right now to write up more detail, but I will soon. (Also, the year was both in the main and signup threads. )
