Copyright? :/ I don't guess you can really copyright a number, or a towel, but...
EDIT: Actually, come to think of it, do we have a turtle? A sea turtle, perhaps?

Ponders too much; thinks too little. Currently goes by Knowlessman. It's probably because you have all these thrilling and cute options for badges and then...a towel. Really, who wants to draw a towel?
Well, aside from me, I mean...
I'm pretty sure no one's copyrighted a towel with the number 42 on it. Same with turtles...
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur. The towels and the chess set are up. Black ones have quotes but some of the white ones are lacking them.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickBought the towel.
I love the Pratchett quotes you picked with the chess pieces. But maybe it's obvious I would love them, seeing as I have Vimes as my avatar...
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Damn, towels move fast. Didn't even have time to caption them... and those work so well, I refuse to offer alternate suggestions.
But hey, chess pieces. I note that we have two sets pawns on the list (White Pawn/Black Pawn and Pawn Blanc/Pawn Noir). We probably only need one of each. We also have two Black Rooks (Black Rook and Rook Noir).
- King Blanc: The power of the king becomes less restrained as he is surrounded by fewer of his court.
- Knight Blanc: A knight's privilege is to move whilst ignoring encumberances.
- Bishop Blanc: One walks in their deity's light, one in their deity's shadow.
EDIT: Also, to echo what other folks have said, you can't copyright towels in general or a number in general. Now, a specific design or font choice with that number, sure. But that towel design is original, so it's fine. Though entertainingly enough, since that design was made original for this site, I think TV Tropes would potentially have the right to defend against a similar towel design, if it was so inclined.

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. The default captions for the Badges are great, but for some reason I decided very early on that I'd make my own captions anyway. If you haven't noticed my personalised captions I assure you they are most witty.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.I obsessively read everyone's captions. Partly in vanity to see who just kept the ones I wrote (in the case where I wrote them), and partly to see what other witty things folks come up with.
I like to think this is to get my creepy impulses satisfied without actually doing anything creepy.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. In the Mod discussions I'm always annoying everyone by talking about Finland constantly. In light of this I've decided to wear the Finland trilogy in my badge collection for a while.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur. There's a reason you're the one person who has a badge shop badge without actually making any badges. You're an important part of marketing.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. Dick@2636 I know, and I'm very appreciative of it (especially because my reason for not making any badges is the standard "I'm terrible at art" one).
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.@Shim:Oi! You are forgetting someone there! Just because I haven't been active in here for quite a while, I still have it on my watchlist and have one for helping get everything set-up! /humor-angry-with-a-grin

Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!Ah, yes, you have the organizational badge. Good point there. You also deserved that.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickAnd there's also me. This is still on my watchlist, too. *remembers he posted here, like, yesterday* :/
Ponders too much; thinks too little. Currently goes by Knowlessman.Heh, I like that book pile's alt text, Artemis.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I don't think I will ever change the alt-text for my badge. Other badges (if I ever get them >_>), sure, but not the Badge badge. I take too much pride in it.
Random thought: Change the thread to "Badge discussion"? They are hardly "new" now and I originally did the all-caps thing just to catch people's attention while they were new.

Ponders too much; thinks too little. Currently goes by Knowlessman.Same here on the first point, and agreed on the second.
I'm still waiting on some of the heraldry badge but I'll try to make new ones if I have the time if need be.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Looks like the Command Prompt badge is misspelled.
Rhymes with "Protracted."The default caption also doesn't need the comma.
Houston, we have a problem. Apparently, someone sent me a badge for my collection... Unfortunately, nothing appears on said page when I go to check it.
Also, whenever I click the "Buy Tropies" on the Badge Shop the message "Sorry, we couldn't match your login information." immediately appears.
"It's better to burn out... THAN TO FADE AWAY!"I am a bit of a derp, I used the worng donate button, I think...
Does one get tropies for donations on the main site button?
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.No, you get ads suspended last I checked.

Glad you approve. Now let's see if Shima will...
To be honest, I'm shocked that given all the HGTTG fans on here, there hasn't been a towel before...
