Hello again...
A lot of things have changed while you were gone.
REVERIE is an episodic OMORI fan mod created by a studio of developers and directed by nrubisco and Stahl. It follows the good ending of the canon game, where Sunny confessed the truth he and Basil hid to his friend group, and he moved out of Faraway Town.

In CHAPTER 1, Sunny returns to his Headspace — uniquely as his present self instead of through Omori — to find that it has changed drastically. He seeks to make sense of the dreamscape, joined by three unique new party members: bread baker twin Doughie, space pirate Captain Spaceboy, and anthropomorphic donut duchess Sweetheart.

The mod's testing demo was published on August 12, 2021. CHAPTER 1 was released on May 23, 2022, with more currently in development.

On September 25, 2022, CHAPTER 2 was released alongside a major balance patch to CHAPTER 1.

REVERIE provides examples of:

    open/close all folders

    As a whole
  • Ascended Extra: The four characters that are third-tier-emotion-sustaining Headspace bosses in the canon game are Spaceboy, Sweetheart, Doughie, and Biscuit. The former three are Sunny's party-mates in the Headspace segments of this mod.
  • Fan Sequel: The mod consists of a post-Golden Ending story that can be selected upon starting a new game.
  • Food Slap: Doughie's standard attack consists of lobbing dough at her target.
  • Gender-Equal Ensemble: Sunny's party eventually has four members, with the guys being Sunny and Spaceboy, and the girls being Doughie and Sweetheart.
  • Lighter and Softer: Because of Sunny no longer bottling up his guilt and trauma, his Headspace and new city in this mod lack the scares of the canon game.
  • Musical Assassin: Sunny keeps the violin he used to fight Omori as his Headspace weapon.
  • Ray Gun: Because firearms are Spaceboy's signature weapons, he keeps his laser blaster as his first one.
  • Who Needs Enemies?: Sunny's new Headspace party isn't nearly as tightly knit as his old friends were, with Sweetheart being of note due to still being her rude and haughty self. However, they are willing to put aside their conflicts, as they wish to make sense of their changed world just as much as Sunny does.

    CHAPTER 1
  • Bathroom Stall Graffiti: Like in Last Resort's bathrooms, each one in the Underground Metro has some writing on the wall.
  • Block Puzzle: Several ones appear amidst ongoing construction. You can push wooden crates, walk up ramps that let you stand on top of them, and call upon the nearby Gator Guy to reset the current puzzle.
  • Discredited Meme: In-Universe: A graffito consisting of the word "Sus" is crossed out, with "stop." written below it.
  • Double Meaning: The Life Jam Guy mistakenly sees Doughie's twin brother, Biscuit, as an ingredient for his Life Juice, though the party eventually informs him that the actual food with the same name is supposed to be used instead.
  • Food Slap: Life Jam Guy's main attack is rolling a huge biscuit at a party member.
  • Generic Graffiti: Writing in spray paint decorates some of the walls of the Underground Metro.
  • Hopeless Boss Fight: Sunny and Doughie cannot make a dent in the Great Gate. However, after recruiting Captain Spaceboy, they return to see that a hole was busted through the gate by Sweetheart, allowing them to pass through.
  • Impact Silhouette: One is eventually left by Sweetheart breaking through the Great Gate — complete with the shapes of her bow and hair.
  • Metal Slime: A Golden sprout mole can be found on a tiny isle on Fallen World's surface that is accessed via elevator. It drops 300 experience points upon defeat.
  • Ouroboros: The snake in what's left of the Neighbor's Room took the saying "When times are rough, you have to make ends meet." literally enough to bite its own tail.
  • Sweetie Graffiti: Near the right side of the Fallen World train station is a heart with "S+A" in it spray-painted on the wall behind the train.
  • Wondrous Ladies Room: The bathrooms in the Underground Metro carry on this trope, each being identical to the respective one in the canon game's Last Resort, albeit not being underwater.

    CHAPTER 2
  • Asteroids Monster: Some Trojan Horses burst into two enemies instead of one. This applies to all of them in Hard Mode and the one in the little Multi-Mook Melee.
  • Loony Fan: Space Fangirl, this chapter's midboss, is obsessed with Spaceboy to the point of cosplaying precisely as Space Ex-Boyfriend and fighting the party for Spaceboy's affections.
  • Mass Monster-Slaughter Sidequest: Otherworld NPC Aliana asks for Star Fragments to make a wish with, one being dropped by each Shooting Star you defeat. She'll wish for a special item for your party for every 10 Star Fragments you give her.
  • Planimal: The Cattail Bunny is a rabbit with cattail leaves growing from its body.
  • Pun-Based Creature:
    • The Tapeworm is a living, worm-like tape reel.
    • The Mouse is a living computer mouse with mouse-like traits.
    • Shooting Stars are flying little stars, encountered immediately once they fall. Unlike Fallen Stars, they're armed with Ray Guns!
    • Crocodile Clips are wires with crocodilian alligator clips.
  • Trojan Horse: A namesake horse-like construction can unveil a more dangerous enemy.
  • Twin Telepathy: Biscuit's speech can normally only be comprehended by his twin sister, Doughie. With her tagged in, however, the whole party will be able to understand him.
  • Unstoppable Rage: Seeing the destruction of Spaceboy's headquarters at Planet X's swords renders the former Furious. In the ensuing boss fight, he'll be locked into the emotion whenever he isn't Toast, making this example more literal than usual.
  • Wolfpack Boss: One scripted fight consists of four regular enemies with buffed stats.
  • Wreathed in Flames: Fallen and Shooting Stars are constantly aflame.
