SFW-ness, the ad server, and Naughty Tentacles

Just a question: isn't "No Examples, Please" a bit redundant when applied to a page that most people can't edit? I mean, I suppose something has to be there, just to avoid confusion, but I feel like it could be rephrased, like "This page has no examples, as it is merely a definition."

I don't know it. I think it's supposed to point out why it's locked.

However, I think that these tags can easily be moved to comment markup with no loss. And they are less confusing this way.

Just noticed that Porn Tropes has ended up on the cutlist.

Have these Moral Guardians really become that demanding?

Some of them aren't even explicit. Bara Genre?

I've noticed that too. May be a bit redundant to Sex Tropes, but I don't want this to end up as a case of us caving into Moral Guardian demands.

I wouldn't be sad to see Porn Tropes go.

I'm frustrated because it has to be done because Moral Guardians say so.

There's absolutely no reason for Porn Tropes to be removed...cut the pic, change the description around some, and it should be fine.

That's a logical argument, though. When dealing with Moral Guardians, logic has to go out of the window. It's about appealing to emotions, unless it's a type of logic which can do both.

I don't mind the example sectionectomy on Naughty Tentacles, but the article really needs a rewrite. It's pretty much a stub, and feels oddly simplistic, as if it's a ten-year-old's school report on tentacle rape.

And yes, a list of related tropes is needed.

Should we throw that to TRS?

Actually, I'm pretty sure there's quite a bit of psychology behind this trope that would make for good analysis material.

Anyone want to take that up?

It's probably obvious, but may I ask why fetish got its examples killed? Last time I checked it was clean and in-universe only.

Have the advertisers given any details on specific pages or is it just some vague "we have received complaints on mature material on the wiki"?

So put tentacles in your original content and then retcon them away in a later edition and you'll get your megathread.
