Inspired by this thread, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

Bringing this up from B-Team Sequel. This entry seems to be a bit of a easy clean (just cut the middle portion down a bit), but I'd still like some input on what to do with it.
- A-team Neversoft handed the keys to the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series over to B-team Robomodo in 2007. The series was already the poster child for Sequelitis, but Robomodo managed to make it even worse by tying their debut effort, Tony Hawk Ride, to a barely-functional skateboard peripheral, resulting in record lows for the series in both review scores and sales. Ironically, Neversoft left its signature franchise to itself become a B-team, first for Guitar Hero and then briefly for Call of Duty before being absorbed into Infinity Ward.

The mention of Sequelitis and Tony Hawk Ride being bad could be changed, but besides that the entry looks fine.
Discombobulate.On Myth Punk:
Why is there a Wangst pothole on "lovesick vampires"? Honestly, this paragraph as-is serves little purpose other than complaining about Urban Fantasy. It's also worth noting that its addition isn't even present on the Edit History, so I can only assume it was made back when the site was more lax about this sort of thing.

"As long as I have my comrades with me, I can do anything!" (She/Her)I agree.
135 - 158 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Yeah, just bashing Urban Fantasy for the sake of it. I can see the usefulness in distinguishing the two genres, but not in such dismissive phrasing.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdThat's most definitely meant to be a potshot at Twilight back from when people couldn't resist bringing it up everywhere (to bash it).
I contemplated bringing up the example in the Twilight cleanup thread for that exact reason.
Regardless, how should we clean up the paragraph to remove the snark?
"As long as I have my comrades with me, I can do anything!" (She/Her)Not sure. The description is otherwise pretty vague and gushy, and the page is littered with ZCEs. I don't think the page loses anything from it being removed entirely, and the trope as a whole needs a closer look.
With the above in mind, does anyone mind if I add the page to Tropes Needing TRS?
"As long as I have my comrades with me, I can do anything!" (She/Her)Forgot About His Powers: Most examples on this page are just complaining about someone not remembering their powers or similar. For instance, the Pokémon: The Series entry starts with saying that Ash "forgets" he has FIVE OTHER POK´MON (page's emphasis not mine) he could use to blast Team Rocket halfway to Mars when they kidnap Pikachu.

Hi!Uh buddy did you triple-post on accident?
One cleanup thread later...Yeah. But what I'm saying is that most examples on the Forgot About His Powers page like the Pokémon thing, especially the capitalization with how Ash forgets how he has five other Pokémon he could easily use to blast Team Rocket to Jupiter feel like complaining.
Hi!Forgot About His Powers is a critical trope by design, so I'm sure the examples are valid, but the caps is just bad form.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. It's one of those things similar to Plot Hole where I'm unsure if it actually counts as a "trope", but, yeah.

Current Project: Incorruptible Pure Pureness- Badass Decay: Blanka. In his first appearance, he was very ferocious. Nowadays, he scratches his ass, growls like a monkey and whines about his mama. Oh, and he's the Joke Character's sidekick. A Hypercompetent Sidekick, but still. If you look at it carefully, Blanka is (kind of) to Dan as Brain is to Inspector Gadget, with Sakura filling the Penny role.
For some reason this entry acts like he hasn't had these things before this installment. Specifically, Dan being Blanka's friend goes back to the Alpha series. The entry even admits that he's still a badass even when he's Dan's friend. And there's the Fan Myopia regarding Inspector Gadget.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Cut it.
Hi!x10: Concerning Myth Punk, I don't know enough about it to fix that paragraph. I can see vaguely what it's going for: Urban Fantasy is a massive, highly marketable genre that has (fairly or not) been typecast in a certain way. The paragraph is trying to define Myth Punk by the ways it's not Urban Fantasy: Myth Punk is more "artistic", more poetic, more closely rooted in real-world folklore from around the globe (except when it's not), less reliant on tried and tested tropes like vampires and werewolves.
I agree that the entire article will probably need TRS: it has too big issues to be fixed in this thread. By everything I've seen in the Discussion page and elsewhere on this wiki, Myth Punk isn't meant to be a genre, but a self-described literary movement formed by Catherynne Valente and some fellow fantasy writers. But the page treats it as a genre anyway. Not to mention, the example list is full of either ZCEs or works that I can't for the life of me see how they fit (e.g. "Talitha Holland's novel Psyche imagines the Greek Princess who becomes a goodness as having a very contemporary point of view, and the gods and goddesses being downright modern in their speech and even dress.")

It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdPlus, its dismissiveness towards Urban Fantasy is wilfully ignorant of the idea that tropes are not bad.
"As long as I have my comrades with me, I can do anything!" (She/Her)I think Myth Punk should just be cut entirely. The entire premise of it is just "Urban Fantasy done RITE!" and the description is nothing but an attack on the idea that Tropes Are Tools.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.We have an article on Literary Fiction and it has examples, but makes clear from the start that it's not a well-defined area, so there's no reason for Myth Punk to be unworkable.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.Based on the complaining and creator-bashing I've seen on social media, we might want to keep an eye on Series.Fallout 2024. Specifically, I'm cautious of anyone trying to shoehorn in something about how Bethesda has no respect for the source material, since that seems to be a common argument.
Also, found this on Freaky Is Cool:
- One reason why wingfic doesn't really work as a set-up for a Hurt/Comfort Fic is that readers are liable to wonder why there's so much wangst involved in something so cool as acquiring a pair of wings.
This example fails to take into account how having wings may be stigmatised in some source works. Just because it's cool to the reader doesn't automatically mean it's cool to the characters; there may well be an in-universe justification for them feeling the way they do. But no, this example acts like these fics are inherently bad and will always fall flat. What a narrow-minded viewpoint!
Anything else to add before I kill it with fire?

I think maybe we should change several things on Fandom Heresy such as the Mindy thing if it's been many years. After all, TF Wiki.net cut down on the complaining on their article for Transformers: Energon a few years ago on the grounds that it had been well over twenty years since Energon aired.
